Kenneth John Boyles; another SF/MC phony
Scotty sends us his work on Kenneth John Boyles, another motorcycle club member/president pretending to be a special forces soldier. He claims that he had one of his testicles shot off, so he has a plastic nut – but that he earned a Purple Heart for it. He claims service in Desert Storm and the Global War on Terror. He has service DURING those periods but not IN the wars.
I guess if you want to run into phonies, you should troll motorcycle clubs and weddings, because that’s where they are all hanging out these days, apparently.

No, the CIB is on there because some POG Clerk fucked up. This douchebag knows it, because he was sporing that CIB while still in the Service. He was never Infantry and therefore under todays Regs NEVER would have been awarded it period!
Which means at some point he began wearing one, and somehow it ended up on his DD-214 despite the fact he never deployed and was never an Infantryman. I smell a massive fucking rat there.
Folks, it is impossible to get a CIB if you have not stepped foot into a combat zone, and especially as an Engineer who would get a Combat Action Badge.
I saw him in a bar a couple of years ago. He had too much to drink and he was harassing an older bar patron. The older guy was a vet and Boyles was peppering him with all kinds of questions about combat and what it was like, etc. The old timer reaches in his pocket, pulls out his CIB, and places it on the bar. Boyles’s eyes get xtra-large and he says, “Golly gee, what is that mister?” The old timer says, “That is a Combat Infantry Badge, dumbass.” Boyles says, “Wow! I’d trade my left nut to have one of those things!”
The rest, as they say, is history.
@145 Jonn: I can only surmise that Boyles sent you the DD214 after he found out the Federal, State and local authorities were tearing his phony persona apart. Most likely, he will now use you or this site to validate his authenticity. I did locate a contact that is familiar with some of his loose band of cohorts. It appears they have been shaken to the core and once they are included in the investigations for supporting criminal fraud they will soon disband.
CIDMP, that sounds like the typical M.O. of street slugs, they like to talk tough, but when the going gets tough, they squeal like a rat in its death throes while in a python’s coils!!
I’ve seen the dd-214 that he sent to Jonn ..TOTAL BULLSHIT. The dd-214 he sent did not make it to the NPRC . Otherwise this info would have been on his FOIA. It states that he was a 21C10 Bridge Crew member for 23 years & 0 months. It lists the GWOTSM & the CIB. How the hell does a 21C earn a CIB ? How nice of him to hide the right hand section of the dd-214 also. Nothing on this dd-214 matches what is on his FOIA. This dd-214 also doesn’t list him as training to be a MP. But he sends orders telling him to report to Ft Benning GA for 3 months in 04 for MP & K-9 training. Box 14 on the dd-214 , It lists Military Education as NONE/Nothing follows. 23 years as a 21c & suppose to be cross trained for MP & no military education ? WTF over !
So he is adding FORGERY to his list of crimes?

Either is a plausible explanation, OWB. A clerk could have screwed up preparing the document and Boyles not said anything at the time (if he even noticed the error at the time – his email to Jonn in comment 57 doesn’t exactly seem like it was written by Einstein). A second possibility is that the DD214 in question could have been obtained from “other than official sources”.
Either way, if the guy (1) was never Infantry, and (2) never served in a combat zone, there’s a bigtime problem with him having a CIB. The Vietnam-era USAR-V exceptions to policy which allowed award of the CIB to non-infantry soldiers ended when we pulled our combat troops out of Vietnam. And even those exceptions required actually serving with a deployed infantry unit in combat.
I’m guessing there aren’t orders for a CIB in his OMPF at NPRC. If there are, I don’t see how they can possibly be valid.
MP school at Benning??? I know they moved the Armor School there to the Home of the Infantry, but MP’s?? I don’t think so. Pretty sure that is out at good ole Ft Leanordwood aka “Lostinthewoods”, Mo.

FT Benning for MP & K9? Bullllllshit! He’d gone FT Lostinthe Woods.
Depending on the time frame, he would have gone to FT McLellan for MP and Lackland AFB for Dog School … Dont remember the dates it changed.
@163 Maybe RA MP school is at Leonardwood, but I went to McClellan for the Reserves. Also I went there when I was Active Duty for re-class from 13N to 95C, the Old MP Corrections MOS, its 31 E now, back before they shut it down.
btw, KENNETH JOHN “BULL” BOYLES, it took awhile to find it, then awhile longer to get it fixed, but my official records had my blood type wrong. I didn’t claim it just because it was there! It was an error – one which it was MY responsibility to have corrected.
It’s YOUR record, and YOUR responsibility to see that every little detail in it is correct.
But something tells me that your official records ARE correct. What you sent to Jonn? Not so much. We will all know for sure soon enough.

RE: “MP Training”: The official MP school was moved from McLellan to Wood in the 1990s when McLellan was shut down as part of BRAC.
FWIW some RC units qualified non-MPs with the 95B MOS (as it was before about 2003 or 2004) by having various instructors come out on drill weekends. I was in an RC MP detachment at Bragg and most of our prior-service non-MPs got qualified that way. The training all had to be documented and anybody who missed a drill weekend either had to find a way to make up the training or they didn’t get the MOS.
When we were notified of an impending mobilization in the Spring of 1997, they accelerated the school and “pencil whipped” some of the NCOs so they would be MOS qualified.
So it is possible to be an MOS qualified MP without ever having been to Mclellan or Wood, but only in the RC.

We had one of our readers here contact us because he needed help changing his DD214. He had jump wings on the document that he says he didn’t earn. So we’re helping him to submit the DD215 to correct it. I told him that it would probably be easier to just go to the school.
But, see, that’s how it’s handled – he didn’t go out and put airborne plates on his truck (yes, they have jump wing plates in WV, too).
By the way, Peggy wrote to chew us out last night, too. Boyles’ big problem is that Scotty and I are both in West Virginia, too.

Jonn, I’m confident that the DD-214 that he sent you isn’t the actual DD-214 that is sitting in HRC. As several far more versed in the art of the DD-214, it looks like whatever he sent you is at best a worksheet that he filled out and passed off as the actual at the DMV and the mobilization letter is about the worst produced document ever to show up on the web.
