Yup, looks real to me

| November 15, 2012

Someone sent us this picture and since it’s a slow news day and since I don’t feel like writing a post every five minutes about L’affaire Petraeus, shirtless FBI agents and the media chasing the Lebanese twins around hoping they’ll take their shirts off, here, this picture came from this forum;

Now, I don’t know a Marine uniform from a Navy uniform, but I do know that, with the Saudi Defense and Kuwaiti Liberation Medals, there should be a star or three on that SWAT medal. I’m pretty sure that the Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon doesn’t rank higher than a Bronze Star Medal. But you guys go ahead. And, oh, if you know where he is, we’d like to know, too. The only thing visible on that crooked-ass name plate is “Anton”

ADDED: I guess Stolen Valor can be a family activity;

#48 Isn’t the female in the picture wearing a Trident too? Wow is that picture a Joke? There are no female SEALS right and if I remember correctly no one can wear the Trident without graduating BUDS.

Ex-PH2

@52, not only that, she has tattoos!

They are (dare I say it?!?!?) infiltrators. The highest level of the Society of Secret Squirrels. They can’t even talk about themselves and what they do when they’re alone in the shower.

LebbenB

He looks like Sean Penn preparing for his role in the remake of “Can’t Stop the Music.”

streetsweeper

there is a young woman at the following link that runs with Antonovich. It appears somehow that Russia got photo’s & press releases on “Zero Dark Thirty”. I can’t get the translater software to work on the whole page, only on pictures & comments. OWB? Zero? Where’s Rurick?

they are paint ball or air soft warriors

Mustang: saved and uploaded to TAH. Your call as to whether or not to post the photo, Jonn.

Mustang

Here are a couple more of her 😉

I’d almost bet they’re some kind of actors based on their other photos.

Ex-PH2

Extras in the “Battleship II”?

marinewm86

@53 I love your post your too funny. And I thought I saw a gravy recipe you posted? Looked good.

Ex-PH2

She’s wearing what looks like a Navy Good Conduct ribbon. Unless things have changed a LOT, officers don’t wear those.

Master Chief, HELP!!!! How did my Navy change so much? Women seals?

ONLY IN MY BOOKS.

All those images originate in Russia — the dot ru is a giveaway.

streetsweeper

airsoft warrior she is…http://94.100.189.169/mail/89036703286/_myphoto#

Looks like replica .45 ACP shoots 6mm plastic airsoft pellets, seen that make of airsoft pistol before can’t recall the name their made in Germany, IIRC.

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

I studied Russian when I was attached to BLACK OPS during Grenda as a Boiler Technician in the Navy.

I just translated some of their narratives from their RU webs sites:

# 1. Hello my name is Anton, I am Soviet white trash, me like dressing up like military war heros. I much enjoy Navy SEALs and I am now one for you to enjoy more so much. I like men in uniform and dress up all the time and look at men in uniform and play military like men in uniform … but I am not gay!

# 2. Hello my name is Ugla, I am Soviet white trash too, like my boyfriend Anton. He calls me GI JANE and beats me often like most drunk Russian men like to do. My tattoos cover up the needle marks on my arms from much heroin I take to smoother the long cold winters here in Russia. Anton like men in uniform and spends most times in bathroom … I don’t know why he does not like sex with me … but he is not gay!

Ex-PH2

@60 = That was YatYas’s gravy recipe. It is so good it needs to be kept a state secret.

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

OK … NO FEMALES HAVE EVER COMPLETED BUD/S EVER!

NOR WILL THEY EVER AS LONG AS I AM ALIVE!

SOME SOVIET WHITE TRASH, WITH BIG DUMP TRUCK BUTT CAN PLAY ALL DAY LONG … BUT NEVER IN A MILLION FRIGGIN’ YEARS WILL IT HAPPEN!

streetsweeper

Now that there was bad, MCPO. lol. I say give ’em a pass at least they are in an odd way pretending to be US soldiers and not hating them like the mis-fits in this country does. Just saying.

marinewm86

#64 I am writing a Cookbook for my family could it be shared? I can’t remember what post it was in..

#65 I know there are no female SEALS, I am just astounded that people go to such lengths to LIE or Steal Valor. I am a peace time Veteran but I feel no need to embellish or imagine service I didn’t perform. These people blow my mind. What desperate ignorant people.

Ex-PH2

@67 – I can’t remember what post it’s in, either. Maybe we could get Jonn to start a recipe post, or something.

Nik

I tell you. I’m tempted to say “give ’em a pass”. They might not be SEALs or any such, but they have guts. Dressing up as US Military? In Russia? That’s gotta count for something.

marinewm86

@68 Maybe he could start the Warrior’s Table Post. Some of my best recipes are from my time as a Marine and a dependent. I hate to ask him.but as military people we eat and cook some of the best food around.

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

@ 66 … I know. It is just good ol’ condendushunallee protected satire! I may crack myself up more than you guys, but I enjoy ever keystroke of it!

Hondo
marinewm86

Hondo-Thanks from the number of recipes on that post maybe a on going recipe post would be a great idea…

Jorge

My Russian is still good. What needs translating? As far as I can tell, some crap about an inspection, no real captions or blurbs about him or the pictures. I agree with Sweeper and Nik, I think they are models or something.

Ex-PH2

Copy that, Hondo.

I think a recipe post is a great idea. How many ways, for example, could a WWII housewife prepare SPAM?

OWB

Russian actors in a movie about the US Navy? Or at least a couple of supposed-to-be members of the US Navy in a Russian made mvoie? Lovely.

Ex-PH2

This is one you can make in a crock pot:

Ingredients:
– 1 (pound ) brisket, trimmed
– 1 1/2teaspoon(s) coarse sea salt
– 3/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
– 1 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
– 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
– 1 1/2tablespoon(s) garlic, minced
– 1/2 cup(s) dark beer, (such as porter or stout)
– 1 tablespoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
– 2 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
– 3 tablespoon(s) honey
– 1/2 cup(s) ketchup
– 1 teaspoon(s) paprika
– 8 kaiser (or other sandwich ) rolls for sandwiches
________________________________________

Directions:

1. Cook the brisket: Season the brisket with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the brisket, brown on all sides, and transfer to a slow cooker.

2. Add the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker and stir well. Cook on high, covered until the meat is very tender — 8 hours. Remove the meat, place it on a cutting board, and let it rest for 15 minutes. Reserve the sauce.

3. Carve brisket into thin slices and divide it among kaiser rolls topped with reserved sauce. Serve warm, with plenty of napkins.

@77 I just copied and pasted that recipe. Thank You and BTW I love Spam. LOL my entire family loves it. One of the most requested items in care packages to my brothers when they were in Theater. It just grosses our mother out since she never ever cooked it when we were kids.

Ex-PH2

@78 — It has been rediscovered and become popular among the younger generation (not sure which one that is) because it’s cheap, storable — comes in a can – and has a variety of uses. In researching stuff, I came across a book of recipes using Spam as one of the ingredients in many recipes, from someone who grew up on Guam.

Nik

I have fond memories as a child of eating fried spam sandwiches.

What’s that you ask? Yes, I did grow up in the South. How’d you guess?

marinewm86

@79 and 80

My brother and I were stationed together in Hawaii we got hooked on Spam, Pineapple and Kona Coffee. We came home on leave and our grandmother who was in the Army Nurses Corps during WWII fixed us our first fried Spam sandwiches our other two brothers decided they loved them too. Our granny also made the best burgers in the world. She was a quite a woman. And proud that her oldest three grandchildren followed her into the service. But not as proud as we are of her creating a legacy of service to our country.

pete

gawddamn!! y’all just made me piss myself twice! i had to put
my big-boy panties on!!

2-17 Air Cav

@76. Yep. They be Rooskies. I rather fancy her but Boy George there just doesn’t look the part.

OWB

Hmmm. He’s kinda cute, but…

2-17 Air Cav

Remember the chaffing facial hair!

Nik

@83

She’s got too much ink for my tastes.

OWB

Not an issue here! There is plenty of facial hair at this homestead. It did get a trim day before yesterday but still more than the aforementioned Roosky. My bunkmate is of the “retirement requires the growth of a beard” school. And I like it!

CI Roller Dude

sorry, you guys got it all wrong…
it’s the Village People- trisexual duo

Open Channel D

Ex PH2,

Officer who earned Good Conduct Medal’s wear ’em.

I earned mine when you had to go four years without a conviction, so they mean more.

Open Channel D sends….

13 years enlisted (E-8), 24 years commissioned (0-5).
1975-2012. Miss it more every day.

Ex-PH2

@89, yeah, I forgot about mustangs getting them.

Mr. Blue

#59- that, or extras for whatever the new SyFy “Original” “movie” coming down the pipe is.

Just an Old Dog

Cease fire! unload clear and lock! obvious reenactors, movie actors or collectors here. Bandwith would be better spent hunting real dirtbags rather than hitting up every picture on the web on the assumption they are claiming service.

Nik

@91

OH! Maybe Frankenfish II

AnotherNuke

On warfare pins: As was said, you can wear two – one above, one below the pocket. For those super sailors who have more than two, you can sort of wear a third one as a belt buckle decoration.

On ribbon racks: They have at least a pin on either side and the bigger ones have another on top to hold them in place. They tend to stay aligned as you pin them unless you seriously snag it on something or the frog holding the pin in pops out. Depending on who you ask, they go 1/4″ above the top of the pocket flap OR 1/4″ above the stitched seam (which puts them almost touching the top of the pocket flap). Uniform regs aren’t really clear, so you’re equally liable to get chewed out either way you do it.

On good conduct medals: Theoretically possible for officers to have them if they were prior enlisted. Six is pushing it.

Parting thoughts: First fakers I can remember seeing wearing NSUs. And man, I wish our command would let me grow a beard like that.

hueydoc

i think this is his facebook profile; https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100004599999108

NHSparky

She’s got too much ink for my tastes.

Oh, whatcha talkin bout, Nik? All the “cool” officers had full sleeve tats!

AnotherNuke–unless the requirements for LDO have changed, you can’t have more than 16 years to apply, so six GCM’s = no go.

And are you surface or sub? And if the latter, what the hell kind of uptight a-holes won’t let you grow one on OP? Does the COB have nothing better to do than stand four-section DOOW and eat ice cream in the goat locker? Oh, wait–go back aft once a week with a burnt-out flashlight and tell the nukes where they need to clean. Forgot that one.

Bucky Katt

Yep, these posers are play acting as Navy LT’s. And very badly. Along with the issues you guys already caught (name tag askew, female with trident- NO, facial hair, ect): Their uniforms don’t fit them, their gig lines are way out of alignment. Belts are not correct size and the brass end tab is not in alignment with the buckle. Uncovered outside- a no no.

Have to admit, I love the top gun aviator glasses! :0D

Crotchity Old Bubblehead

2nd photo also has cigarette in hand outside and they are clearly not in the designated smoking area (you can tell because there is no butt kit), his name tag is now aligned to the top of the pocket but it is also aligned to the left hand edge of the pocket, one has their cover to port and the other to starboard, she looks like she is wearing wash khakis and he is in the new cotton poly whatever its called. When you compare them standing side by side there is a slight difference in color or it could be that I just can’t make out the differences due to poor eyesight.

As a follow on he looks like the Aussie guy that shoveled the pig crap in the Thunderdome movie. They share the same weird haircut.

RM3(SS)

@94- When I got out I started to grow something like that until my best friend called it “the hair around the hoo hah”.
LOL. @96, Sparky, it’s been a long time since I was in, reading your post brings back memories, or nightmares I’m not sure. my boat SSN639. Terrible “T” FTW!

NHSparky

SSN-715 and SSN-647 here with a tender radcon tour in between. No Ka Oi, little Pogsters!

I feel bad for the Buffy. I did a couple of Westpacs on her and Guam SUCKED. So where did I do my tender duty? GUAM. And where is Buffy homeported now? GUAM. So close to PI, yet so far…
