Weekend Open Thread

Tomorrow is winter solstice in the northern hemisphere and Christmas is around the corner. Speaking of which, those in the southern hemisphere have a different feel to their Christmas. Where we see shorter days, they see longer days. Our Christmas lights counter the longer nights in the northern hemisphere. However, in the southern hemisphere, they have both the long days and the Christmas lights… But when the longer days return in the northern hemisphere, the southern hemisphere will have their shorter days without the Christmas lights.
