Gregory Charles Banks; the phony just passing through
So one of our readers is a Mason up in Connecticut and this dude passes through his lodge on the way back from his combat assignments. Sometimes he’s in ACUs, other times he’s wearing his blues, like in the picture above. Of course, he’s Special Forces (isn’t everyone, these days) and in addition to his duties as an Army officer, he’s also a counselor with two offices. The man is a freakin’ machine.
Well, he didn’t turn up in any of my databases, but, you know, he’s probably so secret squirrel that he wouldn’t, but CID can’t find him either. Nor can NPRC;
We’re told that his lodge just threw him a big celebration for his recent award of the Bronze Star Medal so obviously, he loves attention – so here is all of the attention you could ever want, Greg-baby. It looks to me like he stole a midget’s jacket.
Added; more pics;
I emailed these pictures to our counselor friend, Greg Charles Banks and asked if these are not him in the photos, and he hasn’t answered back. I guess he’s going with “identity theft” as an explanation.
OK, I just got an email from him and he admits that this is him in this picture taken at the lodge not wearing the uniform;
I don’t know, you judge.

Can’t wait, better than a movie! Getting the popcorn and red beer ready for the show.
Greggie Boieeee, after you watch, can you give us a review?
@700 clamsgotlegs Thank you and congratulations on hitting 700! 😀
Boom goes the dynamite!

Oops. Sorry Sparks. 😉 LOL
I am the dickweek who gave Tracey at WFSB the scoop.
I hope she gave TAH credit!
Did she?

I’ve heard of a weakdick,MCPO, but wth is a dickweek?
I meant to say dickweed!
The story just aired and it was scathing. Will post a link ASAP!
Reporter: “Is this man in the military?”
Old Guy: “He is most definitely in the military.”
Reporter: “What does he do?”
Old Guy: “I cannot tell you that.”
YES! Because Greg is SO super secret that he told YOU and has sworn you to secrecy! You special man, you!
Mr. Dodge, I also want to thank you, Sir, for sharing that with us. I applaud you and your fellow Masons in upholding the morals and values of your Fraternity!
Posers need to stroll through the threads here before messing with us, that’s akin to messing with hungry Sheepdogs, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, and Pit Bulls while wearing underwear made of raw meat!
@713…..agreed, they need to do their homework. But for whatever reason, they never do. They think they are smart, we are stupid. Can’t fool a vet!
Unfortunately I helped my husband find a therapist and I came across Greg Banks. I was invited to join two therapy sessions along with my husband. The first time I sat there and realized the guy wasn’t listening to either of us, he acted bored and kept looking at his laptop and watch. I was annoyed and couldn’t get out of there fast enough. The second time he was so arrogant and made an obnoxious comment that I couldn’t believe. Total dick. (he also talked about how amazing HE was while working with military) when I left I told my husband I would never go back there again. When I told my therapist what he said, my therapist said “that guy is a total d-bag”.
In the end Greg never responded to my husbands email to make another appointment. KARMA!
yea, my sister referred him to me, too. Although he was mostly polite — although really unprofessional — he gave me the most useless, banal copy-and-paste advice, like he was reading from a doctor phil article. I never got the feeling he actually cared.
His website says he’s experienced in dealing with anxiety issues. Well, I was super anxious going into his office because I don’t usually trust therapists, or anyone for that matter … he basically didn’t seem like he was there to help me.
Good thing I only wasted $50 on him.
from the newstimes.com
“Ralph Desmond, the Worshipful Master at King Hiram’s Lodge, refused to discuss the matter with The News-Times.”
“Lodge business is lodge business,” Desmond said, adding he would discipline any of his members who discussed the issue.”
IMHO–I think Mr. Desmond better not discipline any lodge members for discussing the issue lest he be charged with hindering an investigation by a organization bigger than the lodge. Here’s hoping he didn’t permanently delete those pic files and accolades from the lodge website. We know that destroying evidence is a bad thing to do. Just sayin’
That, and YOU DON’T SCREW WITH REAL VETS without painful consequences!!
Good job, Jonn and crew!
“All the way, everyday!”
–ghp
oh, and another thing…
if Banks was an assistant treasurer at the lodge, they might want to have a CPA do an audit of the books just to make sure everything balances out.
Ralph Desmond is embarassed that he fêted a fake, IMO. Trying to muzzle the members just makes him look foolish at this point.
Anyone have a working link to the TV news broadcast, could not find it on their site, and I’m dying to see it.
@720 Cavalry Doc
Not yet. The website seems to be a day behind…it has a different I-Team story posted right now.
Maybe if the TV station gets a few hundred emails asking for it NOW they might post it sooner. 😉

Mallory…you need to report that to the board! They say his stolen valor isn’t connected to his counseling…if they KNOW he mentioned his “service” during sessions, they would have to further investigate! Please…don’t keep this to yourself. Think about all the others who have been harmed by his lies!
well, at the end of our first “Session”, about 6 months ago when I last saw him, he told me that I would have to wait 3 months to make a new appointment with him because he was going to leave for some sort of army duty shortly after our visit. I found it weird, but I thought “whatever” … does that count?
Its been a sleepless night for me. I have thought about this waste of sperm allot last night and this morning. It occurs to me that he had to accept insurance payments. If he did and as Mallory said referenced his military service when he was in session it not only meets the new SV law but would also constitute malpractice and insurance fraud.
Not sure how a counselor goes about getting set up with insurance companies and contracts to get reimbursed for services…but if Banks had to fill out any paperwork with the insurance companies where he said he was Military and it gave him experience with PTSD, I would think that would constitute FRAUD.
Also, why didn’t the state investigate if Alex was a patient and WHEN that docotr/patient counseling relationship started.

I wonder if any of his application is subject to FOIA?
@715 Mallory
If you don’t mind, can yout tell us what insurance company you had when you visited Banks?
I would love to know what kind of paperwork a counselor must give to an insurance company for a contract for reimbursement.
@722, 723, as Ralph Kramden would have said it, “*POW!* RIGHT IN THE KISSER!!”
HEY, GREGORY C. BANKS THE FAKE US ARMY OFFICER, how does it feel to see your lies blow up like the mushroom clouds over Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945?
@715 Mallory – I implore you to write a letter/email to the CT Dept of Health to advise them of what happened to your husband!

I would rather sand paper a lions ass than have a Master Chief pissed with me. I swear I think there is a special school that they go to after selection that teaches new and creative ways to chew and ass and instill fear.
@715 Mallory – They will need folks like you who have DIRECT knowledge on his counseling practices in order to pursue disciplinary action. Thank you in advance for your time in writing to the State of CT!
@734, Enigma, I’ve been Army my entire Military Career, but I’d rather crawl naked through poison ivy on a hot summer day after wallowing in broken glass and dipping myself in isopropyl alcohol than get a Navy Chief (or any other Senior NCO)that pissed off at me!!
NEGATIVE:
He has failed to comply with standards of industry as set forth in National Board of Certified Counselors (NBAA) Ethics.
The NBAA is recognized by all 50 states as the industry standard.
Banks holds a National Certified Conselor (NCC) designation.
I have communicated with both CT and NBAA on this issue of standards.
Let’s see if they have the courage to do the right thing and pull his CT license and NCC based on failure to comply with industry standards.
Any more friggin’ quiestions on this one?
My first dealings with a Navy Chief was in boot camp. San Diego
Company 86-261. BMC Eclarinal. He was a huge Filipino and my CC. I could not understand a word he said. He would say do fiftee push ups or body builders. We had no idea if he said fifteen or fifty. so we just did push ups or what ever until he called us stupid. We were about two weeks before graduation and one of the guys in my companies father died. BMC in a matter of two hours got him his Blues, got him on a plane and home to Georgia. He came back about a week later and BMC would not let him be set back. Instead he made sure that we all helped him get caught up on his class work.
I learned that no matter what problem a Sailor has he can go to his chiefs with it. As long as the Sailor is honest the Chief will bend over backwards to help. But God help the poor Bastards that lies or tries to hide something.
Greg Banks is having a giant PR phallus pass through his two-hole about now.
He has found a hole crawled in it and pulled it in after him. No doubt he is talking to a lawyer about his “Rights” and the lawyer is telling him to keep his mouth shut and lay low until this blows over.HE wont. This guy has an ego that has to be to fed. He has to feel like his life is out of control and he will blame everyone but himself.
He thinks he is smarter than everyone else, he will try to come up with a plan to explain it all away. I would be willing to bet his guts are watery, he isnt sleeping. His life is crashing down around him and in a place in his soul he knows he did it to himself. This is the kind of Narcissistic fuck that will eat a bullet instead of admit guilt. I feel sorry for anyone who had the Misfortune to have him as a therapist.
#737 MCPO NYC USN Ret.
Perhaps you could contact TRICARE and ask them about the contract/paperwork that Banks would need to fill out to be part of their system. If Banks said he was military on any of their provider contract paperwork…*ding*ding*ding*…INSURANCE FRAUD.
@ clams …
At this point, I am pretty certain LE (both fed and other jurisdictions) are eyeballing Ms. Banks and Miss Alex.
They will be flipping all rocks in the general area of these two …
@737, MCPO, #738, Enigma, further proof that YOU DON’T F**K WITH NAVY CHIEFS, PERIOD, or any other Service’s Senior NCO’s without dire consequences!! Like I said earlier in #729, I wonder how Gregory C. Banks the FAKE US Army Officer feels about his lies blowing up in his face like the A-bombs that greatly helped end our War against Japan?
Senior NCOs can cuss for 10 minutes while chewing your ass and never repeat a wordd.
@743 Proud when I was in the Air Force I witnessed a 1ST LT dress down a Chief Master Sergeant on the sidewalk for failing to properly salute. I knew the CMS, he was in our Squadron and was our First Shirt. Well what do you think happened? Next thing I hear from the CMS as he is talking to another CMS at the NCO club, the poor 1ST LT was called by CBPO because they could not find his jacket. They also could not find his shot record over at the hospital. So a new round of shots for him and all the paperwork to recover his jacket, which a week or so after…mysteriously showed up. Someone had just misplaced it ya know. I learned then that every Chief on base (and probably in the USAF) knew every other Chief in every other department or function. You mess with one and your name goes on their grapevine shit list and strange, odd, mysterious and in this case, wonderful things can happen to a guy. Officer or enlisted.
I’m glad to see this worthless fuck, Gregory Banks, is finally getting the attention he so dearly sought out.
@744 Twist 3 words…..
R……Lee….Ermey
Hand to god this is the truth.
I once heard a Navy Chaplin come over the one MC and call out a Chief by name for his mastery of the English Lagrange.
The Chaplin heard the Chief construct a grammatically correct sentence using only curses and the words I and me.
The Chief referring to the new watch bill said of his Div O “The mother fucking fucker fucked me.” When I watch A Christmas story Every Year and ralph talks about his dad working in profanities like other artist work in oil I think of that. I sure its still hanging in space someplace over Naples.
@741 already checked Tricare and he is not listed as a provider.
@728 Our insurance covers behavioral health through Aetna/ United Behavioral Health. We provided the ID# to Greg Banks and he took it from there. He submitted his invoice to get paid and we had a $20 co-pay. I don’t recall what his appointment fee was to the insurance company.
Channel 3 News spoke to my husband. He let them know that Greg talked about counseling many of the first responders from Sandy Hook.
He obviously needs help. I’m trying to be compassionate.
No officer dresses down a Navy Chief, particularly in public or within ear shot of others!
If such an officer chooses to attempt … regardless of branch, they will have a rude awakening.
BLUF: O-4 and below are junior officers and are under the care and feeding of Navy Chiefs. O-5 and above have learned to respect Navy Chiefs.
A junior Army officer attempted an ill fated leadership move on me once (I was a Master Chief at the time), after ripping him a new overboard discharge pipe in front of his superior officer, I then pointed to his CSM and said, “go ask him to explain the concept of command at sea.”
Don’t get me wrong … I love the Army … my dad was Army!
A similar situation happended to a Senior Chief in Afgan in a JOC.
The Senior Chief approached the podium, turned on the mic and dressed down the junior officer in front of all.
The Chief’s Mess will NEVER permit or EVER allow any member to be dressed down.
Any questions?
