Phony SEAL Police chief Kerkorian resigns
Hondo and MCPO Ret. in TN send us a link to the Chicago Tribune which reports that Robert Kerkorian, the phony SEAL, police chief of Waukegan, Illinois has finally reigned;
Mayor Wayne Motley announced at Monday night’s City Council meeting that he asked for and received Robert Kerkorian’s resignation after a series of Tribune reports indicating the chief had made false claims about his military training and service as a Navy SEAL.
Motley praised the longtime police officer, who was appointed chief in May, as an “exceptional public servant” but said questions about Kerkorian’s military career had become a “distraction.”
Yeah, it’s our fault that he had to resigned. We created a “distraction” because Kerkorian told wild-ass tales of his exploits which never happened. We veterans are over stepping our boundaries by being vocal when one of our own goes off the reservation, even though Kerkorian was “one of our own” only for a few months.
Oh, yeah, he’s still on the force, he just took a pay cut;
Kerkorian will return to his former rank of commander, Motley said. Deputy Chief Wayne Walles takes over as interim chief while the city searches for a replacement.
I’m pretty sure that he won’t be allowed to make any arrests, though. A defense attorney would use this incident against any testimony he gives in a court room.
Of course, Kerkorian wasn’t at the announcement, you know because he’s such a brave man.
Category: Phony soldiers
Lol… I just sent this to you too. Anyways, they should have kicked him off completely. Like you said, how can he possibly testify in court? His integrity is pretty much non-existant now.
TAH: DISTRACTIONATORS!
BTW: He will never be able to testify again (effectively) and any and all previous convictions (within questioned time period) related to his sworn testimony are now back on the table!
Ah … all those non-tax paying crack heads from North Chicago and Waukegan will be walking the streets now because convictions will be challenged!
For the MF-ing WIN!!!!!!!!!!
/GREAT JORB TAH and the Tribune!!!
//Finally something GOOD comes from Chicago.
Well, I guess someone will be driving a desk until his retirement packet gets approved. HEY! It’s just like the military!
Winner, winner, chicken dinner. I love it when us TAH folks make a difference. Turns out shame IS the ultimate punishment. (Read the book World War Z, stocks and the pillory come back).
Driving a desk, hell, hopefully he’s doing the night shift in the detox unit for the rest of his life. Gotta love the smell of puke.
Demoted and publicly shamed. Understanding that there’s room for disagreement on whether he was hit hard enough, I think justice was served.
Will he “Man up” and take responsibility or will he blame it all on us meanies here at TAH that helped to expose his lyin’ ass?
And, how will your job searches go, Robert Kerkorian, with your name all over Google, showing you to be less than honest?
Questions about his military career? There are no questions, only facts. He was not a SEAL, his career lasted less time than a Kardashian marriage. He lied about being a SEAL on his paperwork.
What’s in question so far?
Was he a SEAL? NO!!
Do six months and early separation make a career in the military? NO!!
Did he make claims to being a SEAL? YES!!
Is the Chief a liar? YES!!
No questions here folks, just simple facts without distraction.
The source which led to his desrved downfall is probably still within the department. It will now be Kerkorian’s job to find that person and make him pay. Then, of course, the source will, of necessity, sue and, ultimately, the matter will be settled at great cost to the taxpayers of Waukegan. That will reflect on Kerkorian’s butt buddy, the mayor, and he’ll be out quicker than you can say “I was a US Navy SEAL.” Our interest in this may now be closed but it’s not over.
For the life of me I can’t understand why he’d be with the department in any function other than a desk paperweight until retirement.
If one is willing to lie about oneself, one is certainly willing to lie about others. His ass is grass now and the department is a collective Toro. Oh, no one may be saying anything except “Sure, boss” and “They did you wrong, boss” but what they will really be thinking is “You lying sack of shit!”
Here’s what I can’t (still) understand. NOW he’s claiming he was booted because of a RELATIVE of his who he wouldn’t dish dirt on?
Okay, I was in during that timeframe, and while having FAMILY in certain countries wasn’t really favorably looked upon, even in the aftermath of the Walker/Whitworth scandal you could still have DISTANT relatives who lived in or came from East Bloc/unfriendly countries and still have a clearance, provided you were up front with the investigators.
And even if your clearance got yanked, you wouldn’t get the boot, unless (as we’re finding out more and more of late) that there’s more to the story than what he’s telling.
Gee, there’s a huge shocker.
When will these jackasses ever learn that stolen valor will at sometime come back and bite you in the ass hard? As for the mayor sticking up for this tool only shows what politics have really come to today and his resignation should have followed our dear wanna be Kerkorian.
So, he still waffles, eh? If I see him on Sunday morning at the biker drop-in on the highway, I’ll ask him if he wants syrup with his waffling.
This could be the best possible avenue – demoted back to a previous rank. He is now subject to being fired for cause, AND since he gained that position under false pretenses he may even have put a department retirement income in jeopardy. Depending. There is a limit to how much protection the mayor can give him now.
Whatever happens next, this will continue to be very interesting.
But Stolen Valor has no victims. Yeah, right.
Three words a LEO never wants to hear:
RUBBER GUN SQUAD!
He is done!
Good workorian on the Kerkorian!
Oh, it’s a “distraction,” is it? What ever happened to words like “Honor” and “integrity” and “truth”? The cops used to be the good guys, remember?
Hey Stolen Valor is Stolen Valor. Period.
This guy is a twit of unparallel twitdom.
Oh by the way did I tell you that I was an F4 Fighter Pilot with 27 confirmed missle kills over north vietnam in 1977 ?
Oh no ? Well let me engage you in some idle banter.
Shitbag.
He should be removed from the force. And the Mayor from office.
I have no sympathy for the POS. Great job TAH.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
What GREEN THUMB said…(that I’ve also said before.)
/ditt-farking-OH!!!
Couldn’t happen to a nicer lying . . . dildo.
I almost said “lying prick”. However, since he’s a fake I reconsidered my choice of epithets and decided to use one more apropos for him.
@15. You raise a very good point, OWB. If he’s back in civil service, the false application is now again in play.
Glad TAH got this guy. Even if it were just a demotion. If I were him I would be putting my retirement papers ASAP before this Mayor is out of office. 2/17 and OWB are right if he is thrown out for cause it could affect his pension.
He is a shoe in for a replacement for holder and the Lyin King.
I think right now all the lawyers in that town must be going insanely happy. The first thing I would do is go to every arrest and conviction he was in, and then challenge it, as he is no longer a credible witness … watch tons of ppl get out of jail because of his “distraction” of saying he was a SEAL … way to create appeal venues craptastic dunderhead (trying to move away from the ol’ insults .. :P)
It sucks that he resigned instead of having his sorry ass fired. Old boy network protecting one of its own. I only hope that they vet their next Top Cop better
“Former Lake County prosecutor’s office investigator Mark Pleasant, who had called for an investigation into Kerkorian’s claims, said outside the council meeting Monday that SEALs and other special operations veterans have earned their revered place in military lore and “that place is not to be trespassed upon.”
At least someone up their has a clue
MCPO NY & OWB are correct. Being demoted to his last, lower rank now leaves him wide open for disciplinary action, rubber gun squad (haven’t heard that one in a while, MCPO. lol) and the whole ball of wax. Dude never should have lied er “bullshitted” that he was a SEAL or whatever, relying instead on an honorable discharge and service record. I thought about all the civil suits that could follow too. I’m willing to bet a six pack, the city discharges him and state yanks his POST cert’s.
I wonder what the lower ranking police officers, who are military vets, in the same department as the “SEAL Trainee” are thinking?
@27 they did it to save his pension and stuff, which again doesn’t punish him, the best one is that now everyone there knows he is a fake and a liar; that’ll stay with him forevahhhhh
@30 “Blanket party!!!”
Why impersonate a navy SEAL? Those guys are a dime a dozen…impersonating a water treatment specialist! now when was the last time you met one of those!?!
That’s not a resignation that’s a demotion.
Dude needs to be fired.
Can think of only two options for why he was demoted as opposed to a resignation from the force completely. Either he was demoted to protect a pension which he will now (or after some time period) be allowed to draw OR he was not allowed to resign completely just so that those pesky civil service rules could be applied to him. One would likely mean that his buddies are still protecting him and one likely means quite the opposite.
If you guessed that I am hoping that it is the latter you would be correct. Not enough info to say conclusively, but time will tell.
And then there’s the whole ‘past convictions based on Kerkorian’s arrests’ thing.
How much is it going to cost taxpayers in Lake County and Waukegan to pay for his claptrap?
I really hope this turdsack does not have any kids in a local school.
I really feel sorry for them.
I can only imagine the amount of crap and hazing they are getting because of their relationship to this clown.

“I’ll ask him if he wants syrup with his waffling.”
DING! DING! DING!
Quote of the thread! Love it!
given that his current position is “commander” which I assume is something along the lines of captain, he probably hasn’t worked the streets or made an arrest in many years. A rule of thumb in most departments is you stop being a cop at Sargeant. LT and above you are an administrator.
Bet he is allowed to retire and draw a fat pension. I’ve seen this kind of thing play out many times.
We had a police chief that claimed advanced degrees (MBA)
but when he applied to another department and they attempted to vet his degrees, they turned out to be from a mail order university. He retired on full pension, I still see him around.
he has 26 years of service in the same Dept. No way he will get fired. He will retire just as soon as the paper work is done. I wouldn’t be surprised if he were already on paid leave.
If they fire him then sure as God made Little Green Apples he will file a complaint. His union will back him up and then he will win. IT will never see court. That only way I can see this going any further is if the DA takes it to a grand Jury and they indite him. I bet that wont happen because it will bring even more bad press to the town. Nope Im betting this is over and done with, it will die down and he will talk about how he was a police chief once, for less than 2 months. Not unlike his service in the Navy.
What right and whats the law, As we all know are not the same thing.
another POS.
Another “Victimless” crime.
Especially when his arrests are challenged.
And maybe he did a good job….who knows….
Does not matter now.
Clown.
@32, I know a few of those, actually!
Retired Lake County State’s Attorney investigator Mark Pleasant, who had called for an investigation of Kerkorian’s claims at the June 17 City Council meeting, offered a brief comment to the council following the resignation announcement.
“I want to acknowledge that I appreciate and respect (the) police service of Robert Kerkorian over the years,” Pleasant said. “However, the United States Navy SEALS and all of our military special operations warriors have rightfully earned their special place in American military history.
“That place is not to be trespassed upon. My involvement in this matter started with that belief, and it ends with that belief.”
Hot diggity shit !!!
I just saw this story on Fox News Special Report with a guest appearance by Don Shipley !!!
Way to go TAH !!!
You guys are the best damn stolen valor website on the planet !!!
Thanks for all your hard work.
Thunder
Thunderstixx@44, did they interview Shipley’s hair?
Do we get to see the video? I do not have a working TV.
Was it a Bret Baier Special Report or?
Drinking the ‘Shine and commenting on morons.
101 degrees out here.
Trimming my tomatoes and sucking up that tan.
Thinking of Phildo as I pull weeds.
Weekend is here.
My comments may get “slooopy” later, if I try.
Just a heads up.
Happy 4th. Especially to the men and women of History that made it possible.
I thank you for my freedom.
Yes, it was a Bret Baier Special Report with Shannon Bream standing in. I am told that a link to the video should be posted on Mike Tobin’s bio page at foxnews.com.
Why is it when I think of Kerkorian I’m hearing an old Scooby Doo cartoon in my head?
“And I’d have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for those damn bloggers over at TAH!”
Sucks for you, fella. Sucks for you.
