UPDATE: Dude took the facebook post down. Probably a good move, since we clearly never said any of the things he was accusing us of saying.
One blog in particular called This Ain’t Hell has a …really colorful write up on me. They were even kind enough to post it on my FB page here. THANK YOU!!!! You are making my job very easy. Folks………I highly recommend you read it if you need a few good laughs and truly see jealousy at its finest. Especially the parts where they say I have committed FELONY acts, such as arson and theft, amongst a plethora of other humorous deeds.
I’ve been looking for where we said that, and I find nothing.* Certainly not in a post, and I didn’t see any comments that said it either. But I know Teti has a host of lawyers, so we must have said it somewhere because I am sure Joe wouldn’t just make untrue allegations for shits and giggles. Right?
[* It appears he’s referring to this comment. A comment which explicitely states “Here’s some info regarding Joe Teti from a forum called wilderness-survival.net” and then quotes it. Apparently quoting from somewhere else is tantamount to stating it? That’s a pretty odd policy to take. After all, he cites to us, which I guess makes him complicit in his own defamation. Or, as Joe calls it repeatedly “deformation”.]
Just a reminder of some of the horrid shit Jonn said about Teti:
- Most of that is true. He was indeed in the USMC’s Force Recon.
- He was also in Special Forces – National Guard Special Forces- for five years, ending on May 1st, 2000.
- I don’t disparage his service because he certainly accomplished more in his nine years than I did in my two decades, well, school-wise, anyway.
- There are rumors about him flying around the internet and I won’t engage in hearsay.
- I found him to be an affable fellow, even though he called me ‘sir’ more times than I was comfortable with. And he called me a “smart guy” several times – if only he knew.

Again, his beef seems to be with commenters arguing whether service as a contractor makes him a “combat veteran.” About 1/2 believe it does, and 1/2 believe it doesn’t. And no one is crapping on contractors, least of all me, especially since I wear a Blackwater hat all the time.
Dude seems to need meds or something.
Everyone keeps saying we should have done it face to face. Which of us should have done that? We make no money on the blog, certainly not enough to fly anywhere when email and phones work. You’d have thought the numerous emails and phone calls would have been sufficient, especially since Jonn’s post just gives the dude a tonguebath, but apparently those of you who want to write bad things should write them in his presence or something.
Now, it goes without saying, YOU ARE NOT HELPING if you threaten him, call his house or anything else. Don’t pass on rumors of arson or anything else. I haven’t seen anyone do it, but in case you were thinking of it, do not. This whole fued is pretty much played out as far as we are concerned.
And to whoever the shitdick was calling his phone/internet provider claiming to be Jonn and alter his service, it didn’t work. If you think he’s an asshole now, you should deprive him of Megyn Kelly for a day or two and things will get real fricken interesting.

The comments constituted a rather innocuous debate over whether a civilian contractor in OIF/OEF could be considered a “combat veteran” of those campaigns. The debate only went off the rails a bit when Teti himself came in and disparaged the military vets who were commenting. That’s not jealousy but rather indicative of thin-skin and insecurity on the part of Teti.
As for the false claim of arson/theft, I never saw that in any of the threads. The only threats to life/limb/property/English language I saw was from Teti’s supporters.

Fuck him in the ear with a frozen trout, no one here was saying any of the shit he was claiming on his facebook page. Seems he got a case of the ass and decided to sic his loyal fans on this site and Jonn in particular.
Far as I am concerned, and I will say it again, he can fly me out to hollywierd and I will be happy to look him in the eye and tell him he is misrepresenting himself as a combat veteran of OIF/OEF. He was a contractor, he had the ability to leave at any time, he was making a hell of a lot more money than any of us were and he had the opertunity to stay in uniform to go downrange he chose to be a contractor instead.
I wont say that it was the wrong thing to do, or that it was dishonorable because it wasn’t. It was the right choice for him. Myself and many others however; we were boots on the ground, in uniform, in substandard FOB’s in many cases, getting paid less and getting more work expected from us. We did not have the luxury to leave when we wanted, I did 13 months, many did 15+ with the extensions, dont forget the stop loss. He was a OGA contractor supporting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, does this make his service any less than ours? Not really. But does he deserve the moniker Combat Veteran? In my opinion, no.
And combat veterans like Robert Wrangler are being bashed by Joe Teti because Teti is hell bent on claiming OIE/OEF combat veteran status.
Why the hell is this guy such a dickhole? Is this even him, or is it some kind of ‘publicity-bot’ that runs his facebook page? It was a positive article…

Some people get a little freaky when they think you’re talking about them. Things you could say about someone else that they’d totally think is neutral and above board, you say it about them and it’s a totally different story.
I’m just having a hard time reconciling what I know I read with what he’s claiming.

In that entry, the writer indicated that Good Ol’ Joe had been caught, WHILE IN THE SERVICE, while stealing night goggles at one duty station and at another was caught stealing ammunition.
If it’s what he’s upset about, then perhaps it should be looked into.

Veteran or not, this guy is acting like an insecure knob. “UR JUS JEALOUS OF ME……… FUK ALL U HATERZ…… I CAN’T STOP USING EXCESSIVE ELLIPSIS MARKS………” Why do they always shriek “jealousy?” Jealous of what? It’s like they follow some kind of script.
I linked that above PH2, but even that is a) a comment not a post by me or Jonn, and b) specifically notes that there is a source that is stating that.
Again, quoting from somewhere else isn’t defamatory unless you have specific reason to question it. In other words, we certainly weren’t endorsing it, it was a commenter citing to other evidence.
It would be the same as saying that because we put up the quote from Teti’s facebook post, we are endorsing what he said. Clearly we were not.

Quick story that is off track,
I was standing outside having a cigarette with a few Majors and the CSM here at Camp Shelby. I get a phonecall from the wife and while we are talking the CSM says in a loud voice “I told him he could eat a fat babies dick…”. Well the wife heard it as I started to laugh my rear off and all she could say was “he wasnt talking to you was he?”
I choked out no between the laughter and told her I would call her back. There is nothing quite like a CSM near retirement to make you laugh.
As an outsider that knows a little about how pseudo-celebrities think. It’s my opinion that Teti knew what y’all did here and how y’all think when he contacted Jonn. He knew feathers would be ruffled and was hoping for just that reaction. I think he’s no longer happy to be a “reality star” and wants to move into the more main stream of acting, and you can’t do that unless you get your name out there. What better way to get a name out then to create a bunch of hoopla and have people doing their own research about you. Y’all didn’t exactly give him the complete reaction he wanted so he’s making y’all now give it to him by siccing his fans on y’all.
I could and very well may be wrong but this is what I thought when I first saw his reaction to Jonn’s original post, and I knew he wasn’t going to let this fade away. He’s not done with y’all yet.
It’s a shame in order to build himself up more he’s going to try to take down honorable men.
My major beef with him now (that is, in addition to “combat veteran”) is that he used the word amongst. Nobody uses the word amongst. Amongst? Bottom line for me: Let his Skittles-chomping, prepubescent fans adore him all they want. I don’t want to know the guy. I don’t care what he accomplished as a National Guardman or whatever he was. And I don’t care what civilian job he worked for the big bucks, whether he was a palace lifeguarg or a pleasure consultant for visiting executives and incognito generals. He likes to play games. But since it appeared in that column on this blog, he may have misconstrued it as coming directly from the administrator even though that clearly is not the source.
The comparison is a gas price of $3.959. Most people only see $3.95. I think it’s probably something like that: ui was posted on TAH, therefore it must have been written by TAH’s people, even though it plainly shows that it was posted by a commenter.
I really do think that’s what he may be grousing about. If so, he needs to be advised otherwise.
