Our buddy, Dan Noyes sends us his latest story on AJ Dicken at ABC7 News from San Francisco
If you missed it, here’s Don Shipley’s video mentioned in the news story;
Apparently, Dicken says that he put Shipley’s video on YouTube to throw the people who were hunting him off of his trail.
The most pressing question Dicken faces now is over possession of those guns seen on the promotional videos he made. Dicken is a felon — records from Riverside County show convictions for burglary, receiving stolen property, and child concealing.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office confirms they, along with the FBI and ATF want to question him. The saga of Dicken, the phony Navy SEAL, resonates for those who actually served in the military.
Yeah, all of that fake SEAL training is going to work well for Dicken in prison.

So let me get this straight. This felon was able to obtain all of these weapons publicly, secure passports and other government ID, AND the FBI/ATF only caught on after Shipley nailed him, he defrauded almost a million dollars, and was featured again on the local news?

I emailed this fool several months back and asked him if he would be willing to give me a little one-on-one instruction on how to protect (and possibly use) my two-hole from unauthorized entry.

Holy crap, this guy is screwed. I wonder how he even passed a background check for those weapons. Also, for passport identification, didn’t they need to run a securities check for him, ESPECIALLY if it was a diplomatic?

That video was a scream. I half expected to see Sealy from Ranger Up to walk through the door behind those two. And when he yanked the pin on the grenade, I alsmost lost it. I did lost it when the blimp dropped part of her load on that guy who was on all fours. Classic.
I have sat through Chief Shipley’s video several times, and my curiosity is piqued by one of the side video cameos.

I have questions, also, about the FBI’s apparent inability to find this guy, never mind take him in. Are they too busy chasing Joaqin “el Chapo” Guzman-Loero?

It’s always fun to watch the comments on things like this. I love all you bad-asses who think you know what the real story is about and how wrong everyone is all from one little TV show. Nice to know that you can divine all this info from the media. Before you guess as to how he got weapons, how much money was involved, how people falsify backgrounds, etc. you might do a little more research. Has it ever occurred to any of you swinging dicks that perhaps he had some really high level assistance to get passports? Or threatened people in order to bully them into thinking he was working for the government? It’s a narrow world you live in if you think that one stupid poser can do all this by himself.

My legal experience is doing a bid (4-1/2 of a 3-6) for drugs and dating my lawyer’s niece after I was on the straight and narrow. Ignore the “bad certificate” warning as long as it is going to benning.mil. It just means they didn’t pay Veri-sign the $100 or whoever set up the servers didn’t set up a certificate authority for whatever reasons. You asked HOW he got the weapons w/o a background check. The wife/GF got them. Clearly he didn’t get them himself so no background checks failed. He is/was working with directly with the UN org so he lied to them as well which is how he got his passports. THEY are the ones that failed, not the US passport authorities. He had an inside direct connection with them.
