Two men exchange gunfire during road rage incident in Hermitage
The shooting occurred on Central Pike and ended with one man crashing his car into an embankment and running off.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man is on the run after road rage turned into gunfire overnight in Hermitage.

Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department were called to a crash scene at 4017 Central Pike and found an abandoned car up against an embankment next to a house.

MNPD detectives learned that two men, one in the car and another in a truck, had become entangled in a road rage situation earlier. The man driving the car fired a shot at the truck, which went through the door and grazed the man across his stomach, according to MNPD. The injured man then returned fire and drove down Central Pike after him, resulting in the crash.

MNPD said the driver of the car jumped out and ran after the crash and remains on the run. No charges are expected against the driver of the truck.

Jurors help detain Maine man attempting to flee courthouse in handcuffs after his conviction
Nicholas Carter, 31, was found guilty of aggravated assault against a child

By Landon Mion
A Maine man attempted to flee a courthouse while in handcuffs after he was convicted for assaulting a 1-year-old when two jurors and a detective managed to prevent his attempt to escape.

Nicholas Carter, 31, was observed on Wednesday bolting out of the courthouse in the town of Skowhegan while handcuffed.

Carter was found guilty of aggravated assault against a 1-year-old child, according to the Portland Press Herald. His conviction came after a three-day trial at the Somerset County Superior Courthouse.

According to the outlet, Carter jumped a bar with handcuffs on and exited through the rear door of the second-floor courtroom. The door is used by members of the public to enter and exit the gallery.

A detective, who was inside the courtroom, and judicial marshals chased Carter as he ran down the staircase to the first floor of the courthouse, the outlet reported.

Several videos show Carter, while still in handcuffs, running down a hallway in the courthouse and dodging a lawyer who unsuccessfully attempted to stop him from making a run for it.

He was then seen running out of the courthouse’s main entrance as he was being pursued by multiple people.

Video footage also shows Carter running across a parking lot and across the street before eventually tripping and falling in a yard, where two bystanders, who were also jurors during his trial, held him until the detective caught up.

Mr. Carter seems unwilling to be incarcerated as a child abuser. Let’s hope he’s not disappointed. Thanks again for the links, Gun Bunny.

Yes I will be the FIRST to say I do like today’s FGS, Big Dawg. Not the dood that remembered his pressing business else where per se (having already read/sent that in), and/or the citizens that did double civic duty by capturing a pervert that they had just convicted of his nefarious crimes (sent that too).

I particularly enjoyed Mr. Wesson version of a “Hawg Leg” and even more so the curvy brunetted Ms Thang. She’s got curves in places that some don’t even have places.

Proof positive that our Beloved AW1Ed loves his Gun Bunny and wants him to be happy!
