Gordon Duff was not Marine Special Operations

| January 20, 2016

We haven’t written about Gordon Duff in a while. He’s the head crank at Veterans Today, a website that says it’s for veterans, but not really. It’s funded by PressTV, the Iranian government media, and lately they’ve gotten cozy with the Russian media – you know, whoever ponies up the dough. Very few veterans write over there – most are Vietnam-era draft dodgers and various academics whose opinions can be found in a thousand other sources.

Usually, they’re too busy warning their crank readership about aliens who have taken over the shadow government, but now, there’s a story going around that Gordon wrote about how the US military is always on the “wrong side” of history. I guess that he thinks that we should have been supporting the Communists of North Vietnam instead of the democratic South. But this particular article has been picked up in a number of anti-American websites, including the Democrat Underground.

Gordon Duff, a Marine combat veteran of the Vietnam War and a senior editor and chairman of the board of Veterans Today, has recently been very critical of the US military and its top commanders. The reason for his frustration is the incompetence and the either intentional or deliberate delusion of the country’s top military commanders.

For a better understanding of what is going on in the US military, Duff recalled his personal military experience while serving in Vietnam.

“I served in the US military in Vietnam, in a Marine special operations unit. There was a general consensus that America was clearly on the wrong side in Vietnam,” he recalls in his article for the New Eastern Outlook website.

Yeah, no, Duff was not in a special operations unit. We got his records almost six years ago. He spent eighteen months in the Marine Corps. He was an S-3 administrative clerk in the 9th Division in Vietnam. He went to Boot Camp in February 1969 and by the time September 1970 rolled around, he was on the street.

Now he pretends that he’s some kind of expert on the military – he fetched coffee for a major as a TOC Rat. He likes to tell people that he’s a disabled Vietnam veteran, and he might be disabled, but not from anything that happened in Vietnam. He stepped off the boat from Vietnam on August 5, 1970 and by the 21st he was outside the gate at Camp Pendleton – straight to the Inactive Reserves.

If he’d lie about being some sort of special operations guy, what else is he lying about? But, then the Russians aren’t really worried about that, are they?

Correct, Jonn. However, IMO Gordon Duff is indeed a freaking idiot.

Fastjack

How in the sweetest of fuck does this taintstain have a CAR?

Hondo

Well, he did serve in Vietnam as a rifleman after the CAR was created. Could well be legit.

Stacy0311

TOCRat or TOCRoach?

Jason

I think the Iranians and Russians are counting on him to lie. It is a safe bet. Given their funding I would guess they get to pick the lies.

“TOC Rat ” — I’ve never heard that one before 🙂

Queer!

Jonn, how in hell could you commit “Character Assassination” on a person with no reputable character? Gordon “The Duffoon” Duff is his own worst enema. He shits himself every time that he posts anything.

Silentium Est Aureum

Inconsistency is the only constant where DUmmies are concerned.

Hondo

Most Denizens of DUmb support either Clintoon or Bernie the Commie. The wouldn’t recognize “character” if it sat naked on their lap and wiggled its butt.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Most DUers probably hold degrees in underwater basket weaving, ancient Sumarian textiles or womyns studies and still live in their parent’s basement looking for the next Donkeycrat messiah to lead them to the promised land of Free Shit Forever.

Most of them wouldn’t know character if it came up to them and cock slapped them in the face….

UpNorth

HMCS, you left out one of the DUmmies’ fields of study, that being Art History.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Music appreciation is another…

I’m sure that plenty of DUmmies were also out there in the “0ccupy” movement demanding things like $15 an hour for flipping burgers and Student Loan Forgiveness for say, those who spent seven years and over $100K in loans to get say, a BA or BS in Women’s or Gender Studies.

Pinto Nag

Okay, do you have ANY IDEA how fascinating ancient textiles are?? And that they are a critical part of archeology? I seriously doubt the kind of people you are referring to know what linen is, much less what part of the world the herringbone weave originated in.

I was actually impressed with the fact that many of them recognize the story to be utter nonsense, from a nutbag paid shill of the Russians.
I will likely never agree with anything written about politics over there, but at least there are some who can see through this BS.

Assclown’s picture make it look like he was dorked in the squeakhole by an alien anal probe from Area 51.

Looks like his website caters to people like Bernastypants and his butt buddy QuEeFeRs… and some of the younger generation like those out near Bend, OR.

A Proud Infidel®™

Maybe he DID get abducted by a UFO and they anal probed him so hard it gave him brain damage? 😀

Something missing here. Dave Hardin will hopefully set the record straight. When I went through boot camp, enlistment was either two years or four years. May have been a three year option for all I know. By the time I finished boot camp the first USMC draftees were just beginning to arrive. Motley crew to say the least. So what’s up with this 18 months in the Corps? In spite of a bad memory at my age, I don’t think back in those days it was like a Quick-Pik number of months you wanted to join for. My hunch meter is telling me there’s more to this story than what we know.

Hondo

See this and the following two comments, Jarhead. BLUF: apparently at one time USMC policy for those returning from Vietnam w/less than 6 mo service remaining was “re-up now or get released immediately”.

Jarhead

Thanks for enlightening me with something I had not known before now. Never too old to learn.

Inbredredneck

I’m not sure about the Misguided Children, but Ain’t Released Me Yet was givin’ about a 5 month drop for those who extended in RVN (maybe Korea, too) ’til they had less than 150 days left in the service. Always was a debate among US’s (and some RA’s) as to whether one should stay in country for another month and head back to Travis AFB and OAB to process out immediately, or come back to a stateside assignment for the last months of one’s enlistment.
Either way, this guy sounds like a real loser.

Dave Hardin

Honestly, it is hard to pin down what the actual policy was. For SOME MOS’s returning CONUS there were early release options. For others there were not. Even the MOS does not seem to be the measure in some cases.

That being said, Gordan Duff was an Admin Man and may have had access to his records. I wouldn’t believe anything the shit stain said or had in his records.

I am sure the trauma of an S-3 Clerk and Admin Man has left its scars on Gordy. Insofar as any character assassination goes little Gordy is doing a fine enough job of it himself.

The Veterans Today organization is an embarrassment. I wouldn’t piss up his ass if his guts were on fire.

He was “Special” alright. He served, earned and EGA, just like the rest of us. I guess being special is a relative term. The only thing that appears special about him to me is his ability to make a living sucking bat shit off cave walls.

As long as he stays in his little cave cover in shit I dont care. He posts his fecal fantasies in public and he can expect to be hosed down before he contaminates everything he touches.

Gordy might be special to those who never served, as far as I am concerned Corporal Cupcake should mentally masturbate about his twisted service fantasies in private.

Combat Historian

“He was an S-3 administrative clerk in the 9th Division in Vietnam…”

Jonn, just in case and for the record, looks like Duff was assigned to the 9th Marine Amphibious Brigade (9th MAB), and not the “9th Division”.

Sorensen25

Meh. Whether he had operational experience or a CAR is irrelevant. A stint in the military doesn’t make anybody a national security expert, even if you were SOF, but people pretend like it does.

Hondo

Absolutely true, Sorenson25. However, Duff bills himself as a “military expert” anyway, and uses an inflated account of his exceptionally nondescript military career to buttress his credibility.

That – plus the fact that he’s full-blown batsh!t crazy – is why he gets so much “love” here.

whatthefuckever

Damn, what a shithole of sexual inuendos and self assured ‘patriots’ having a mutual shit slinging party. Most here seen to have some sort of sexual identity crisis, even vowing not to piss up Gordons ass. On a more positive note, at least you’ve proven that his name isn’t Bob Foote. Love the motto at the top…did you get the idea from Sarah Palin? I’ll have to send this url to my fundaMENTAList lifer brother. He’ll love it.

ex-OS2

Did you say something?

Green Thumb

Get lost, loser.

There is man (he claims, anyway) named Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics) in Merritt Island, FL that can help you out.

Shitbag.

Robert m welch

i always check both sides of the story and this looks like a typical smear page dedicated to focusing on the credibility of the informer and avoiding the content. as a vet, i’ve drank beer with a ww2 vet who swore (because he ran the radio in the aluetians) that pearl harbor was allowed to happen to draw us into war. i know what an implosion looks like and what is involved in pulling a building. saw it in person 4 years before the twin towers were imploded. there is something terribley wrong in our government.

duff, be he fake or real is right about one thing… those who oppose evil out of ignorance and sloth will end up serving evil. todays veteran must be a different kind of veteran. one not blindly following the beat of the war/hate drum. and, first and foremost, he must protect the very thing that makes this country worth fighting for- his constitution- from those who would usurp our government, as warned by our founding fathers.

68W58

Yep-that and proper use of capitalization (which is all a plot by the Bildebergers and Krispy Kreme to enslave us).

Ex-PH2

Punctuation, asshole!!!! Do you ever use it????

2/17 Air Cav

“duff, be he fake or real…” Be he? Be he…be he…got it! It’s from “Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum.”

Be he alive, or be he dead
I’ll grind his bones to make my bread.

When some knucklehead cites to Duff as an authority on anything, well, what’s the use? Consequently, I got nothing else.

Green Thumb

Gordon Duff = Shitbag.
