Ronnie Joseph Seaton; phony POW, phony Vietnam vet

Yesterday, we discussed a little about the phony chef, Ronnie Joseph Seaton who claimed to be a White House chef and who was spilling the phony beans about presidents he never served. He also claimed to have been a POW and a Vietnam War veteran. He claimed that he had a Purple Heart, too. From the New York Post story;

DPAA had no record of a Seaton in any of the four services listed as a POW. Well, probably because he was never in Vietnam, according to the National Personnel Records Center;

He enlisted in the Army in May, 1973 and by the time he graduated from artillery Advanced Individual Training, combat troops were withdrawn from Vietnam. He stayed in the active Army until 1980 and then spent a few years more years in the National Guard getting out of the service as an E-7, Sergeant First Class with a General Discharge, as opposed to an Honorable Discharge. No time in Vietnam, so no Purple Heart, no time as a POW.
I’ve been emailing with Larry Getlen from the New York Post this morning and he says that Seaton also claimed to have earned a Bronze Star Medal, too, but, no, not according to his records.

He didn’t even spend time as a spoon, 92G. Culinary training at Waffle House?
All-Points Logistics.
Mmmmm. Waffle House. Yum Yum.
Minor quibble, Jonn. You say Seaton the LSoS “spent five more years in the National Guard getting out of the service as an E-7 Sergeant First Class.”
The last entry in his assignments page for his time in the ARNG shows that he received a general discharge. He was a Senior NCO (SFC/E7) at the time.
I think that very likely means he got involuntarily tossed for cause – not chose to leave on his own.
The Guard was good at using that mechanism to “generally” rid itself of turds…often times those were turds who didn’t show up for drill, and it had to be missing a lot of drills in the late 70s early 80s before they tossed your sorry ass.
I tossed a lot of folks out once I made SSgt and I became a supervisor. Well a *LOT*, maybe I had to write packages for 8 or 9 folks in my section over the years for just stopping showing up for Drill. I’d say that’s a lot.
It take quite a bit to get thrown out with a General Discharge.
Sounds like he got tired of working weekends. What a dipshit.
So, he can’t cook, either? Right?
I do not know about cooking but I bet he can toss a mean salad.
Dude, that is some funny sh!t!!! I have to go clean the coffee off my monitors now….
CW05?
Awesome.
I love you guys.
You always know where the back up supply of beer is hidden!
Has there ever been a CWO (any grade) sighted at PT (except aviation units)? Ghosts…except when you need one and there they are balls to the wall. Hat tip.
Dunno, Ex-PH2 – 1982 was 33 years ago. He could have gone to culinary school after getting discharged. Might even have used his GI-Bill to do so.
I knew a guy that did that.
But back then, the VA/GI Bill did not cover that type of “vocational” education. He had to get a waiver, a very exhaustive process if I remember correctly.
Times have changed.
Owns a couple of restaurants now.
Definitely made the most of it.
General Discharge = Shitbag.

I’m going to file this one under irony defined in regard to lecturing on English and teaching adults how to read. I can ‘rekate’ to this. From his profile on Amazon:

ABOUT
I am a professional chef in New Orleans,La. I love to cook so people will live longer. I also go inyo schools to lecture on how english and marh rekates to cooking. I just recently went to Washington, D)C) to cook for the President it turned out wonderful. I have eight kids with three still at home. Iam looking for my first vacation next summer in a very long time. I am thinking about going into the high school and teaching Culinary Arts to future chefs. I am a Vietnam Veteran highly decorated, school teacher, coach, athletic director, and Medicial Surg. Tech. I also work with operation mainstream, teaching adults how to read.Adn during the holidays I bring the family to different agencies to cook for them, for it is better to give than to receive. God gave me a gify so that i can share it with others.
He truly has a ‘gify’.
Perhaps. But he doesn’t seem to have a good grasp of written English, so his “gify” doesn’t seem to be writing – the text above is barely comprehensible.
Also, he is “going inyo schools”…. I am fluent in Ebonics and Jive. “Inyo translates to “in your”.
Wonder if he is a Tard?
I would say that is almost certainly true.
The real question, I believe, is whether he’s a tard by accident or design.
Nah scro, his shit’s all fucked up and he talks like a fag.
My sister’s a tard and she’s a pilot.
A General discharge? Wow. What do you have to do to get one of those? Fail a piss test?
How dumb can people be. He had 7 years AD. Stay out of trouble for the next 13 years and you can retire in the Guard. I guess he really wanted to cook for the White House.
Was he AGR? Maybe a unit technician for the LANG.
Looks like he got his General shortly after ANCOC. Guess he didn’t learn much.
I wonder where he is working now.
Golden Corral or Dennys
Maybe Waffle House, McDonald’s or Billy-Bob’s Truck Stop?
Shoneys!
Looks like the UK Daily Mail is running an article about the guy – and is pretty much calling him an across-the-board liar concerning his nonmilitary claims (they don’t address his bogus military claims other than to mention them as “claims”).
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3348905/White-House-chef-claims-reveal-tell-stories-serving-presidents-32-years-never-worked-there.html
For me, the last sentence of the article was the “money quote”:
“Daily Mail Online has reached out to Seaton but has not yet received comment.”
Hope they’re not holding their breath.
A couple people are coming to his defense on Amazon saying the book is obviously a comic lampoon and shouldn’t be taken seriously. But his published certainly isn’t promoting it that way. According to Facebook he’s been married to his wife since 1995. Certainly should would know if her husband was a Chef at the White House while they were married? I guess she’s going along with it in order to sell some books.

So much for his book just being a lampoon.

PhD in Food Science? Wow!!!!!
I wonder if he was a Navy Seal as well.
More like a PhD in Dildology.
More like Phildology if you ask me!
So was he ever really a chef at the White House or did he just get a photograph in his Chef Boyardee hat on a White House tour?
clams, Jonn’s article yesterday and the Daily Mail article I linked above both state that the White House says he never worked there. I’m thinking they’d know if he’d ever worked there. Given the man’s allegations, I’d also guess they’d be very quick to confirm he worked there during the 2000s if that were true.
Thanks Hondo. I just went through his FB…he is in the Knights of Columbus in NOLA. I guess this is where his “knighted by the Queen” fantasy started.
Dude must flip a mean pancake.

Now that’s just funny right there.
This book is no longer on the publisher’s website. They finally figured out they got scammed. Hopefully they also learned a lesson about fact-checking before they publish.
The NY Post linked us in their article.
That is good news.
This guy is all over the place in NOLA with his claims. There is no way his book is intended to be satire or a lampoon. This guy is 110% poser. It’s amazing NO ONE has called him out on it until now.
http://nwcarrollton.blogspot.com/2009/10/obamas-chef.html
I would bet that he doesn’t even have the two year degree from Delgado Community College in NOLA either. Bet he only took a couple of classes there if that. Not worth the $ money to check the National Student Clearinghouse to verify his associates degree.
I bet this bitch couldn’t even make me a decent sammich.
Gotta love the AWOL in there as well. Would not be surprised if he was in custody of the local LE during that time.
Are you sure he was an E-7? His discharge rank was Sergeant. I think that has to be a typo. It doent look like he had the time in to pick up E-7.
Nevermind, misread the form.
I swear to Buddha, with all the rocks in America, turn one over and you’ll find a liar…
or Bernasty
I thought that’s what one finds at the bottom of cesspools!
Update: the publisher has ceased publication and distribution of the book.

A limited edition book. Just in time for the holidays. This will go great with my signed copy of Weekend At Rita’s.
He’s been written up in New Orleans now –
http://www.nola.com/dining/index.ssf/2015/12/ronnie_seaton_grandson_of_will.html
Apparently his grandmother was actually a well-know restaurant owner.
His Stolen Valor games obviously put a huge turd in his stew pot!
This may have already been posted. But I’ll post again just in case. Listen to this fool tell his phony story about being a POW in Vietnam. I understand his wife buying his fake story about Vietnam before they got married. But how can she sit there and nod her head in approval about his phony time at the White House? There are still various trolls on the internet telling people to calm down, that the book is just a silly joke not to be taken seriously. Hey trolls! There is nothing funny about pretending to be a POW!!!
At least this maggot is original.
I love all of the titles.
This clown takes the loony bin by a mile.
Definitely Shitbag Sixteen material.
The only burning he felt was probably in his two-hole as the he was getting injected with some special Chef Sauce.
Maggot.
Fillet O’ Turd.
I wonder if this maggot is still cooking up his pot of bullshit?
Probably is.
And I can see it being served as the main lunch entree at All-Points Logistics’ next corporate meeting.
Ronnie-boi is a two-hole, taint tickling, ballsack worker who “entertains” truckers at the local Flying J.
Ronnie Joseph Seaton = Ballsack Warrior!
So did he actually cook the carp fillet with breaded watermelon for the White House?
Now for the prisoner of war story, think about it. It might be a case of allowing him to escape since his cooking skill were mostly bullshit. I mean what self respecting gook would want to eat possum cooked by a prisoner from the U. S. A.? I can just imagine Ho Chi Minh saying, “Get that mo’fckr out of here! He will do us more good by being bad for the American morale. Take him and drop him off at the Greyhound Station at the DMZ and give him a one-way bus ticket to Danang. By the way, before you leave the bus station, go into one of the rest rooms and write on the walls…..”Ronnie Seaton is not welcome in North Viet Nam. He can’t even cook fish heads and rice without f_____g it up!!” “If he’s a cook, then I’m a Tranny Nun hung like an NBA player.”
Just don’t sample the stuff at the buffet that he runs. You never know where it comes from.
Is it like the proverbial Oriental Buffet next door to a dog pound?
