Bryan Patrick Cook

Scotty sends us his research on this Bryan Patrick Cook fellow. He claims all sorts of scary killer awards;

Bryan Patrick Cook claims

He was a tow truck driver and a construction equipment operator. He was never in a position to get Purple Hearts and Silver Stars, or Combat Infantryman Badges, or Special Forces tabs or any of the other stuff he listed above;

Bryan Patrick Cook FOIA Awards

Dude had 12 (count ’em – 12) Army Achievement Medals and two Army Commendation Medals. That’s quite an accomplishment – I had three AAMs and three ARCOMs in two decades of service. But he had to lie – he just couldn’t help it.

I’ll never understand it. Never. But, he has scrubbed everything now that Scottie blew him out.

I had 3 ARCOMs and 3 AAMs in a decade…thought I was hot shit! I got nothing on this guy

thebesig

The guy went to Germany, had BNCOC under his belt, and is listed as “retired.” That’s just scratching the surface. Overall, he has a record to be proud of.

This guy sure as hell pissed all over his record. 🙄

3/17 Air Cav

What a shock, just another embellisher from Florida!

Thunderstixx

Time for him to run for office !!!
Please be a demonrat !!!
God forbid he calls himself conservative and runs…

Green Thumb

Word.

He probably has a job at All-Points Logistics in custodial services.

Commander Phil Monkress and his felonious senior staff at All-Points Logistics take care of heir own.

rb325th

Idiot…absolute, utter idiot.

nbcguy54

C’mon now. Even SF vehicles break down now and then and need a tow. And all of Army guys were issued e-tools which made us construction equipment qualified.
Yep – legit.

Shane

ahhh 11H tow driver is a infantry MOS for a TOW crewman… you know a TOW The BGM-71 TOW (“Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided”) missile… just saying if your gonna bust him, bust him right.

Club Manager

Had a good record so why did the soldier ETS before retiring? Want to wager something happened.

CLAW131

After a close scrutiny (Not) of this individual’s records,I found that he was good to go (NOT) up until the point that he requested a Motorcycle clasp for the Drivers and Mechanics Badge. From that point forward I call Bullshit on his claim. He is also requesting a Silver Star with “V” device. He’s asking the wrong people for one of those. The only available source of supply on one of those is from the John Kerry Supply Company.

“He was never in a position to get Purple Hearts and Silver Stars, or Combat Infantryman Badges, or Special Forces tabs or any of the other stuff he listed above”

why should that stop anyone like Bryan Patrick Cook or me from making such claims? A guy can learn a lot during 58 days in the Army.

I just want you to know that you make my day brighter Mr. Faker sir. Carry on.

John "Faker 6" Giduck

No homo but you, sir, give me a bit of a chub yourself. My online alter ego, Sgathak, is a bit of a hoot as well mainly because his experiences match mine exactly

https://thetruthaboutsocnetlies.wordpress.com/2012/05/01/unmasked-source-of-john-giducks-beslan-walking-among-bodies-claim/

I really am a great guy. Just ask me (or my online alter ego).

Bryan Cook…A heads up here for ya killer. Pay attention now because having served in the Army, you should already know this if you had been paying attention to true heroes when you saw them. Or perhaps the noise in your tow truck or up on that D-9 Cat were too distracting for you to notice. But I digress. Anyway, amongst the many, many “metals” you want because all your originals were lost in the sad, sad house fire is…a Silver Star Medal (That’s “Medal” Bryan, not “metal”, dimwit) with “V” device. No Bryan, you can’t have a Silver Star Medal…with a “V” device. The “V” device is for “Valor” and can be awarded with a Bronze Star and ARCOM for instance. But the Silver Star automatically means it is for VALOR, you dumb SOB!

AverageNCO

The “V” on the Silver Star is such a poser mistake. Also, “metal” wasn’t his only spelling error. Notice he gave himself a “Comidation” medal, instad of “Commendation.” At lease he didn’t make the classic poser error of giving himself an “Acommodation” medal. And finally he gave himself a Distinguished Service Medal. Another typical poser flub. They don’t realize that is a medal usually given to Flag Officers for meritorious service. It’s not a battlefield decoration.

jonp

Commode Medal is more like it

AndyFMF

“Expert Marksmanship qualification badge w/ Missle (sic) Bar”?

Should I even ask?

I’m tempted to ask if he gets to challenge the spaceshuttle door gunner PQS, but I found this:
http://veteranmedals.army.mil/awardg&d.nsf/4e3914832ae7b23c85256e670076f127/3d42034c83e666f285256e68004a8e59!OpenDocument

Seriously…..missile bar?

CLAW131

Andy, that’s what 11H TOW Missile Gunners recieve. It’s a legitimate clasp for the Marksmanship Badges. Ask any Hammer Head crewman.

rb325th

Yup…earned it a few times myself. 11H2PE9

ArmyATC

As a driver, would he have earned that bar?

ArmyATC

I see that he did actually earn it on his FOIA.

rb325th

Driver, gunner, assistant gunner, etc…same as with 11C you qualify as a gunner on the weapons system.

AndyFMF

Well that makes more sense. I was envisioning Nike missile, etc.

John "Faker 6" Giduck

could it also be for “incredible heat seeking hairy man ass missile”?

it’s the post-DADT military, you know. I should have gutted out more than 58 days to get some of it.

Is there as bar to the Expert badge for “the Love Tusk”? If so, I should have a “V” on it for dating a cop killer

AdamsSamoa

he was a TOW Missile guy not a tow truck driver… 11H…

CLAW131

Jonn knows that. He was just doing a little pun with a play on words.

NHSparky

12 AAM’s? I saw a Master Chief once that had 6 NAMs and thought that was amazing.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

Now adays 6 NAMs is not unusual. The award was dumbed don’t in the 90’s when CO’s were given authority to award. BAM … Second, third and fourth awards for organizing Ship’s BBQ, showing up for work, sewing your rating patch and not crying when you could have … We saw many of those in Selection Boards.

I earned my MSM, 2 NC and 2 NAM … But I am most proud of the many unit awards.

Hack Stone

I won ‘t disclose the command, but I was in a unit where one Marine (female type ) racked up five, count ’email five, Navy Achievements in two years. She displayed some leadership skills. To the Company XO behind locked doors, if you know what I mean.

Dave Hardin

I got put in for a Navy Commendation for making everyone in the command take a GED if they didn’t have a HS Dip. I ended up with the Navy Achievement. Oddly that one doesn’t have a combat ‘V’ on it but that’s still kinda like a Silver Star right?

rgr1480

Yeah, me too, kinda-sorta. The Army establihed the Army Achievement Medal (AAM) in 1981. I was being put in for a second Army Commendation Medal two years later, but I asked for an AAM instead because it was new and would be one more medal on my rack.

Hey …. I was young(er) then!!!

A Proud Infidel®™

You’re not alone, my “Right-hand Man” on my last ME tour specifically asked for an AAM for that tour versus the ACM that was the norm for anyone but the dirtbags and f%ckups. I asked him why and he told me that he already had two ACM’s and wanted an AAM to “Fatten up his fruit salad”! FTR, I relented and let him have his wish, I couldn’t have asked for a better assistant on that tour!

CWO5USMC

Dave, I hear ya brother. Worst one I ever saw was a switchboard operator who forwarded a phone call for a MEDEVAC. It took all of 5 seconds and got an impact NAM for it, although it was just part of his regular duties and no different than forwarding a call from the Co Gunny to the 1st Sgt….and over the years I’ve seen guys and gals get NCMs and NAMs for work that wasn’t finished or for what someone else had already been given an award for….our award system is really broke.

royh

A guy in my division, PO2, got a NAM for keeping a really good supply log.

Open Channel D

When I was coming up through the ranks (HR through CDR), I saw Chiefs retire with 1 or none NAM’s. In the late 70’s, only the top HMCM’s got a NMCM (then known as a Navy Commendation Medal) and a lot of officers below O-5 didn’t get one, EVER.

I got a MSM as an LCDR for an overseas, combat zone OIC tour. When I got back stateside, some folks at BUMED thought that should have been a Bronze Star but I was too frickin’ scared to agree to that bullshit, lest my Gunny find out. Turns out the officer that I turned over to (who subsequently got picked up for O-6 and command) didn’t have that same problem and parlayed her MSM into a converted BS and all what came with it.

Fuck em all. I left with honor and dignity intact–they just got a better paycheck for the price of theirs.

Bobo

The only NAM that I recall being given out in the squadron to someone who wasn’t a zero or a chief went to an E-5 who went into the fan room to manually override a faulty head valve during a flooding causality. I showed up to one of my first ARNG drills as a new sergeant to see a PFC with and AAM. I figured that he must have taken a bullet for the President. When I asked him the story about his AAM he told me that it was for doing a good job in the intel section during annual training. It was then that I figured out that I had entered a different world award wise.

Just An Old Dog

He is listed as retired, and has an eye-patch, I’m betting he had some sort of accident in the service that put him out on medical.
He had a good record, 12 AAMs? He shit all over it, I wonder what stories he isspinning about that eye patch.

thebesig

I don’t know, but he’s probably going around asking people the question, “Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?”

AW1 Tim

Absorbent and yellow and porous is he!

ArmyATC

Check out his wife’s Facebook page. it looks like whatever caused they eyepatch was post service. In one pic with her, he’s wearing a bandage rather than the patch.

Sapper3307

Nice Sapper tab go choke on a greasy steaming Giduck you turd huffer.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

Scotty and Jonn,

Shirley this MUST be a mistake!

ArmyATC

It isn’t. And don’t call them Shirley.

A Proud Infidel®™

ROGER WILCO! (*OH, SH!T) did I say someone’s name again?)

AverageNCO

I just noticed on his Facebook. It looks like he’s another poser who’s also a softball player. That group picture on his cover photo looks like it was taken at a big slow-pitch tournament.

Scotty

The ” TOW ” truck claim is my mistake. Jonn was just repeating what I had wrote in the e-mail that I had sent him.
Now stay the hell off of Jonn’s grass. He’s a grumpy old fart.

CLAW131

Notice how nice and neat his 2-1 is. I betcha he and the Battalion S-1 clerk were best hunting/fishing/beer drinking buds (or related by blood)and a majority of his AAM’s were awarded as a “add on name” after he went to the Reserves in Arkansas. And I don’t believe the entry for the Army Commendation Medal w/1 Bronze Star is a correct entry.I think the NPRC FOIA clerk screwed that one up. Subsequent awards for meritorious ARCOM’s are in the form of Oak Leaf Clusters.

Tom Jones

I did 16 years in the Air Force. So I don’t know about all these Army metals this guy is talking about, but I do know bullshit when I see it. And this idiot is just that… bullshit. We had a guy in our Club try to pass himself off with a bunch of metals he didn’t earn. One day he ran into the wrong guy and was not only booted from the Club… he was booted in the head a shit load of times. There are way too many Vets out there that can spot a clown with metals he didn’t earn, and they make sure to issue an ass whoopin’ for it.

panamaa

Question… Would he not have to have a Ranger Tab in order to have a Special Forces Tab? If so, he left that one out…

Eden

No. SF Qual and Ranger school are two very different schools, and not everyone who goes through SF Qual has been to Ranger school (in fact, many have not).
