NC Governor: Suspend elections for job crisis

| September 27, 2011

North Carolina Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue, the same governor who suspends gun rights for hurricanes has decided that maybe we should suspend Congressional elections so politicians can focus on jobs instead of having to actually accomplish something;

“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,” Perdue said at a rotary club event in Cary, North Carolina, according to the Raleigh News & Observer. “I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.”

Think she sounds like she’s joking? Well, now her office claims she was, but don’t you think that she might have said that to her audience immediately after she made the ridiculous statement instead of in an email to the Daily Caller?

That is exactly how tyranny begins.

The Old One

Yeah, that sounds just like our own little Governor “DUMPLING”, she makes us so proud…*sigh*

PintoNag

She’s forgotten who she works for, and who gave her the job SHE holds, in the first place.

The good folks of NC need to remind her. Firmly.

“and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make”

Well, if we cancel the 2012 elections, that doesn’t extend the terms of the people currently in office. So I promise not to hold the decisions of the former Congressmen agaisnt them, since they won’t be able to vote on anything anyway.

Constitution-constipation,it’s all the same to her. She is just reading from the obama playbook, fortunately, our house and senate are primarily conservatives after a 100 year rule by democrats. They are working hard to get things straightened out but she is wearing out her veto stamp.she is the definition of an idiot…

Governor Perdue is safe. So long as Dems maintain a stranglehold on the UNC system, and the majority in the Triangle, she can say and do whatever she wants with impunity.

Her job, in this specific instance, is to be the first to sound the call to tyranny. For years and years the Progressives would scare folks with implausible tales of Darth Cheney and Chimpy McBushitler ready to suspend elections.

Yet today we find three very real threats acting against the cornerstone of our democracy: the integrity of elections.

1. The DOJ Civil Rights Division: 113-0. That’s the number of Progressive/Maoist lawyers hired to work in DOJ versus the number of liberal, moderate, and conservative lawyers. We’ve already witnessed how they will act from the New Black Panther Party debacle. Next up: the new voting districts based upon the 2010 Census. Under the Civil Rights laws and regulations, this hyper-politicized bunch has approval authority over the new districts.

2. Unions running voting machines in Blue and battleground districts. And not just any union, but SEIU.

3. The SCOAMF himself putting out the idea that he should govern alone, without Congress or the SCOTUS. Perdue is his mouthpiece because she’s safe. Neither Sebellius nor Napolitano were as safe, electorally speaking as Perdue is.

This SCOAMF’s friends and allies have a record of undermining the integrity of elections. Considering even the most cynical of folks believe the House will remain GOP, the Senate will turn GOP, and upwards of 2 (maybe 3) retirements among the liberal majority of the SCOTUS – that’s cause enough to do away with elections from a Progressive point of view.

Must be that, since Sibelius and Nappy got promoted, and Granholm got thrown out of her job, Governor Dumpling gets to be the jerk of the week? What’s the matter, they couldn’t find Wasserman-Schultz?
What the hell’s next, a fire in the House or Senate Chambers? Wait, that’s been tried before by someone else.

Another reason why we need a positive voter ID system in EVERY single state. A valid, state-issued photo-ID for which you must show a birth certificate or proof-of-citizenship to obtain. In Maine, that would be a Maine State Driver’s License or Maine State ID.

On fact, I would have no problem with also requiring a fingerprint (not on the ballot) but at the check-in line where you pick up your ballot. That would be proof positive of voting and how many times you tried to vote 🙂

he knows the Dems are going to get their asses handed to them, and there very well may be the GOP in the same position the Dems were in in 2009.

You know that most Dems actually have little to no faith in the common man. “trust us, we’ll take care of you, you need never think about anything” it’s a shame that they don’t trust their own people.

Toothless Dawg

But wait, if the dhimwits suspend the elections, doesn’t that make then enemies… foreign and/or domestic? (even more so than they already are) … and therefore begin ‘open season’?

Flagwaver

Toothless, yes it does. If they actively violate the constitution, then they must remove themselves from the political process or be arrested and face charges of treason and/or sedition.

Well, here’s some motivation for her: a bit of subterfuge.

“Last week, Wake County District Attorney Colon Willoughby let it be known that more criminal charges are expected in the investigation of Gov. Beverly Perdue’s campaign finances.”
