My oh my, that is a girl-shaped girl. Sigh…
Remember when Dan Wessons were fugly guns with a nut at the end of the barrel and only came in .357? A regretted opportunity: the Augsburg Rod and Gun had a 4 barrel set – gun with 2, 4 6, and 8 inch barrels for about $300. Another set was a small HK with replacement bits to make the gun .22, .25, .32, or .380. Think that went for $400ish. Guns we passed on in days passed…
When I was on the Brink’s comp shooting team, one of the guys had a Dan Wesson with the inter changeable barrel. I got my Brownells heavy duty storage bags along with a pack of 50 12X12 In. rust protector sheet that I cut in half and wrapped them around the guns and used food saver ziplock vacume bags that I pulled the air out with their electric vacume gizmo. I only have my Springfield XDe SC .9MM and Rhoghbor SC .99MM carry that I didn’t wrap and store in my safe.Only used one Brownells storage bag with my S&W Mod 14, .38 6in. barrel with a Bomar rib which took up some space. Original Mod 14’s had pencil barrels which made them heavy on the grip end. Rib did a nice balance job. Had the rib job done in Kenilworth New Jersey, and in those days, one didn’t have to worry about getting pulled over with a firearm in your car. Shot a few Police combat matches in NJ with a bunch of great LEO’S and not the Gestapo types that you see nowadays.
Looks like the security guard remembered the 21 foot rule when the knife perp ran towards him.
