Wuhan, China

American expat Doug Perez living in Wuhan, reported on Fox News the conditions on the ground there have greatly improved. The province’s capital city, accounted for 60% of mainland China’s total confirmed cases and about 77% of the deaths.

China has sent more than 30,000 medical staff to Hubei, among which roughly two-thirds were sent to Wuhan. Chinese health officials say that 10% of China’s critical care medical staff are currently deployed in Wuhan to fight against the virus.

Wuhan has also designated 46 hospitals to care for confirmed coronavirus cases, and is racing to re-purpose other locations into medical facilities.

No doubt these and other measures have helped.

American resident of Wuhan says life getting back to normal: ‘The situation is greatly improving’

By Julia Musto

Life at the epicenter of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has been “greatly improving,” San Francisco native and Wuhan, China resident Doug Perez said Tuesday.

Appearing on “Fox & Friends First” with host Jillian Mele, Perez said that at the beginning of the outbreak he faced a “lot of hardship,” but in the past few weeks “the situation has transformed dramatically.”

“Yesterday, for example, we only had one new case of coronavirus — one confirmed case in Wuhan,” said Perez. “So, the situation is greatly improving recently. And, we’re optimistic that we’re almost through it over here.”

However, Perez noted that a quarantine is still in effect in Wuhan — as are a lot of restrictions for its residents.

“That being said, we’re still dependent on deliveries and the delivery services have been very reliable. Recently we can access even fast-food services via delivery. Everything comes within an hour,” he explained.

“So, actually, the situation has been improving a lot and life’s starting to return to normal a bit recently. So, we’re actually really happy about that,” he told Mele. “But, prior to that, it was much worse.”

“My advice would be, of course, to stock up and be safe. Wash your hands,” he cautioned. “But, I think if you keep a positive mindset and you focus on making it through it. Not leaving the house — complying with the quarantine. I’m really confident that the U.S. will make it through it.”

Of course we will. Good advice here- practice social distancing, wash or sanitize your hands often, and stay calm. Read the rest here: Fox News

China’s numbers right now are fake.

I do think they have significantly slowed the spread and thjngs are improving. But their numbers over the last week are complete lies.

They stopped testing a confirming cases for ordinary citizens. Now if you are symptomatic you are sent to a quarantine camp to recover. Dubbed “fever camps” because the way people are discovered to need quarantine is they use temperature scanner at building entrances to public buildings, at vehicle checkpoints, and roving security patrols.

This fear of being swepped up and sent to a fever camp is also helping to keep people quarantined in their apartment buildings and is keeping sick people indoors.

However, China has no idea how much the virus is spreading in the apartment buildings, in and among families, and even in the community at large because they stopped testing and confirming cases.

Also, rural communities are conducting no testing at all.

According to their current bullshit numbers more people were struck by lighting in China than contracted the virus over the last few days.

So the Chinese government wants the world to believe you have a better chance of getting struck by lighting than contracting the virus in a China.

They are definitely slowing the spread. We just have no idea to what extent that spread is slowing, only that their numbers are bullshit.

Roh-Dog

Yep.
More lies from the CCP. At the end of this I hope the average Chinese citizen holds those tyrants accountable.

I would ask how you know all this. I know you haven’t been there, so unless you have some contacts in the spook community, what you are passing on would seem to be info you could not have, unless you are just making suppositions and posing them as fact.

Commissar

I have contacts. Plenty. Not necessarily spooks.

By the way, Mandarin was one of my DLI trained languages back in my MI days and one of my areas of specialization.

I have decades of experience staying away from people.
I’m gonna be fine.
I can out hunker anybody.

I did make a trip to Walmart this morning for
a 50 lb sack of sunflower seeds and more suet packs
for the birds. They don’t know shit about no virus
and need to eat like every other critter.
The store looked like something out of Russia.
Bare shelves. Even the laundry supplies are gone.

Next up? The internet goes down and Ham Radio is King.
Hunker on down…

SFC D

I was really hoping for the zombie apocalypse but all we got was a Chinese virus.

I hope Baofeng radios don’t transmit the virus.

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman

Baofeng radios barely transmit themselves, so no worries about transmitting a virus.

Not to worry ninja. The gas prices will shoot back up somewhere around the 15th of June when I start my Westward Ho trek. They will stay high until about 15 July when my journey ends. That is, if I can be allowed to cross multiple state lines and have a confirmed driver. This trip was FIRST planned in June of last year. We’ll see.

I will repeat, again, the comment I made when this bug FIRST showed up here. It is all a nefarious plot by the ChiComs and the domestic enemies of our Republic to discredit Trump, throw the markets into a turmoil, and distract the American people from what is REALLY going on. If there is anything good to come out of all of this, it will be the awakening of the people here, and the bringing back of our manufacturing base. I would rather pay a few dollars more for an American built whatever, than to continue to contribute to the coffers of those who wish to destroy us.

UpNorth

Wait! I thought gas prices were going down because Putin and the Saudis got into a snit fit over something, and the Saudis didn’t like Vlad telling them how the oil markets were supposed to run?
Gas here in Western Michigan was $1.74/gal this afternoon.

Mason

That’s going to make gas cheaper than TP or bottled water. Won’t be long before you see people using gas for things because it’s cheaper than water. Like in Bernie’s favorite South American socialist paradise.

Steve 1371

Hey Bud, got a light?

Ret_25X

Don’t get excited. It’s a train coming down the track at us!

LOL

Wash your hands, wash your ass, wash your dick, power wash that sand out of your vagina, Lars.

As a proud member of the Free Shit Army, I’m waiting for the federal government to disburse my $1,000 check so I can afford to buy Clorox and Purell.

I remember getting a stimulus check from
Obama but I think it was only $250. Cheapskate.

Looks like no going out for Chinese this Sunday.

Berliner

The big all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet close to McChord Airfield @ JBLM has had Mexican cooks and staff for about 5 years now. The only visible Asian is at the cash register as you enter.

Mustang Major

I bought the last few items I needed to hunker down for the duration before they became in unobtainable; Hoppes#9 and cleaning patches.

BTW, on my two trips to Europe last year (southern Spain, Berlin, and Italy) the areas I traveled through were infested with Chinese tourists taking selfies. It was like a swarm of locust. No wonder Europe is in the jam they are in now.

Apparently to this dumbass (or dumbasses) from Gizmodo, America’s response in containing the Coronavirus is a natural consequence of white supremacy instead of you know, trying to protect ourselves and our country.

PS: From now on, I will be using my first name and first name only.

Correction, it’s from The Root but I found the link on Gizmodo.

The linked dude is just another black grievance monger in the Orange Man Back cult.

Orange Man Bad cult. Damned auto correct.

Figures. No shortage of them to go around unfortunately.

Damn. I accidentally added my last name. Old habits die hard.
