Hondo’s Music UA?
Tom Petty
Hondo must be on the road, so please allow me to chime in with a couple arcane Tom Petty songs. MrsAW1 is a Gainsville gal and a big Tom Petty fan. Here’s a couple my personal favorites.
Here’s a quick lizard song.
And a favorite, “Spike.”

Rest In Peace, Tom Petty.
Thank You for sharing these two songs with us, AW1Ed.
Am posting three of my favorites.
The FIRST is Tom Petty singing with The Traveling Wilburys the song “Handle With Care”.
Group is composed of Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Bob Dylan,Jeff Lynne (ELO) and Jim Keltner on drums.
2nd Favorite”
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers:
“The Waiting”
Third:
Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks..
“Stop Draggin My Heart Around”
Yeah, that song right there….
Heck, after reading the interactions and exchanges on the other posts reference Bernie and the Democrats, am adding another favorite.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers singing:
“I Won’t Back Down”.
Featuring Ringo Starr on the Drums, George Harrison and Jeff Lynne (ELO) on guitar.
Because I Won’t Back Down on Supporting President Trump and Capitalism. 4 More Years. 4 More Years.
A favorite of mine is “Runaway Trains”.
If any of you can find that simple B/W video and put it on here, I would appreciate it.
“I’m depending on time…
To get you out of my mind…”
R.I.P., Thomas Earl.
Can’t find a live video, but here’s what I found.
Was not ready for salty ocular occurrences this evening. Great live version I haven’t heard before. I was going to see the Heartbreakers on their last tour through DFW, but a 12 hour overtime shift came up. Live and learn. Thanks, AW1Ed.
(Thanks, Jonn.)
Welcome and appropriate. After all, Jonn dragged me over to the Dark Side at TAH.
Some blasts from our past. Stevie Nicks, still that dynamite in a small package, still very well preserved. Still makes my dragged around heart throb. Have seen all of the above, live in concert at one point in time or another.
Tanks Mate!
R.I.P. to Howie Epstein as well. A great musical talent. Pain is bad. So is heroin…
Yes! He was so good – not just his work with TP but as a producer and musician elsewhere. Sadly, his addiction ruined it all.
Still have Full Moon Fever on the phone somewhere. Best album of his IMO.
One of the Great Ones—enjoy hearing (listening) to him on Sirius XM–a deep, wide songwriter–American–! Fuckin’ drugs.
