ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KTVI)– A person was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon while trying to rob an ATM technician outside a credit union in unincorporated St. Louis County.

According to Officer Tracy Panus, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis County Police Department, police received a call for a shooting just after 1:35 p.m. in the parking lot of Vantage Credit Union in the 600 block of Greenway Chase Drive.

Panus said two people approached the ATM tech while the individual was servicing the machine. One of the suspects was then shot and the other person drove away from the scene. It’s unclear who shot the suspect.

The wounded suspect was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Panus said the ATM tech stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Missionary detains armed burglar, no shots fired

By Jason Burger
MONTROSE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)– A man who lives south of Montrose faced a scary situation after Christmas, when he came home and found an armed burglar in his own cabin.
Kenny Easton is a missionary, and lives at Mountaintop Retreat, where he also works.

He says he came home with his wife on December 27th, and immediately knew something wasn’t right.

He let his dogs run into his house, and they led him to a young man hiding in a bedroom, armed with a pistol…and it was pointed right at Kenny.

He says he is a concealed carry holder, and was able to detain the burglar with no bullets being fired but he told us the whole situation could have been avoided.

“If he had knocked on my door, you know, he would’ve got a meal, and he would have gotten a bed to sleep in, and i would have put him in touch with the local sheriff, and let him work out his problems, but unfortunately that’s not how it worked out. But at least he didn’t get shot, and he didn’t shoot me.”

Two slabbed and one each inconvenienced and in the wind, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. While I’m glad the missionary didn’t get shot too, had that been me the score today would be a bit different.

The “assault weapon” ban didn’t stop the [World Trade Center/Pentagon] terrorists, Brady checks didn’t stop them, the high capacity magazine ban didn’t. Right to Carry would have. If it had saved only one tower and the people in it, it would have been worth it. GUN CONTROL KILLS. — LTC Stasski, 9/11/01

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman

What did the two who molested the ATM tech think they would get? The tech is the mechanic, he (usually) doesn’t load the money. That’s the CU’s job.
Then again, crooks ain’t usually the brightest of people.

David

Beside several cash boxes, part of the feed mechanism is inside. ATM safes are more complex inside than you may think.

A Proud Infidel®™️

Like a LEO friend of mine once said, “We don’t have time to go after the smart crooks because the dumb ones keep us busy 24/7!”.

UpNorth

To add to that thought, API, the jails and prisons are full of dumb crooks.

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman

That missionary is living right(eously), and God has further need of him on the earth at this time.

A Proud Infidel®™️

A happy ending there IMHO, his dogs did good and he has a clean conscience, I just hope the Pooches didn’t pick up any parasites from the perp!

“…the score today would have been different.” Yep, me too…err I also. Wilted Willy would of had his DRT Trifecta and kloset kid would’ve had a different kind of come to Jesus moment.

Too bad some of these dumbasses can’t realize when she is “just not into you” anymore. She ain’t worth getting kilt over. Go find another one dippy. And this time, get one that can cook.

Perp done made his final withdrawal from the out door bank. He’s cashed out and overdrawn…or maybe outdrawn.

‘Ed, ‘Ed, ‘Ed. Are you mad at us? Did we do something wrong? The Mrs. had a headache lately? You were blessing us with so much pretty gun pr0n for awhile there. Then you throwed out that POS Davis and now this down right fugly Ruger. Do you need a hug? Or maybe some sausage gravy with cat heads?

AZRobert

A Sig 938 shoots softer then the LCP and the LCR too unless you load down from a 357 to 38 then its all good for the arthritic wrists…..

26Limabeans

That LCP is ugly.

A Proud Infidel®™️

The first thing I bought for Mrs. A Proud Infidel®™️ after we got married was a Ruger LCP in .380ACP with Crimson Trace®™️Lasergrips because she loved the one she got to shoot at a range one day and I can’t be there 24/7, it shoots well and it’s easy to carry concealed!

UpNorth

I got the wife a Ruger LCP in 9mm. She really likes shooting it. I might look into the Crimson Trace©® Laser grips for her.

26Limabeans

I’ll bet it looks beautiful on her.

The latest LCP has the best double action striker fired trigger of the compacts. It also one of the least expensive. Excellent CCW pistol.

Thunderstixx

The small Ruger and the S&W 9 Shield are good pocket weapons, but they are really small and are no good out to about 10 yards or less.
I like a heavier gun, like a Kimber 1911…..
God I do so miss mine after those Austinian Pygmies stole all my guns and all 10,000 rounds of ammo and left me nothing but this little slingshot…

rgr769

Still amazed that every day there are three or more of these incidents. There are likely dozens more cases of defensive firearms use daily that don’t make it into the media output.
