Police looking for man wanted in Dormont home invasion
A man trying to break into a Dormont home on Sunday morning was confronted by the resident and — during the ensuing scuffle — was hit in the head by a gun and narrowly escaped being shot before running away,, according to police.
Allegheny County police said they are looking for Joel Hatfield, 28, who they said was armed with a knife when, around 8:45 a.m., he forced his way into a home in the 1500 block of Kelton Avenue. The man living at the home had a gun and struck Hatfield on the head. During the fight, a shot also was fired.
Police said Hatfield is homeless but frequents the Dormont area. He is 5 feet 10 inches and weights approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue and white hooded sweatshirt and may have a laceration on his head.
Based on witness accounts, police said, Hatfield may be with two other people who were hiding outside the home during the incident and fled with Hatfield.

Almost a Trifecta for WW, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, but alas it’s not to be. This time anyway.

Well, no trifecta, but we have a deuce of DRT’s. So that is positive shooting and crime fighting. The three in the wind are homeless losers, so they will likely be inconvenienced soon.
Like today’s gun pr0n, but damn! At $8k for the custom work (and you supply the rifle to them), that’s a little rich for my wallet.
BTW, did Marlin ever make a lever action in 45-70? Now THERE would be a caliber worthy of such custom work.
Model 1895, available in multiple configurations including stainless, guide guns, blued, etc. Try to find original Marlin manufacture (JM marked) rather than later manufacture under Remington.
Oh, and that IS a Marlin. Grizzly does their conversions on pretty much any centerfire Marlin lever actions… not sure how ‘worth it’ that would be on a .357 Magnum carbine, but whatever floats yer boat…
Yes. The Model 1895 comes in .45-70.

Still a winning hand of a full house. Aces (2 DRTs) and Eights (3 eight balls) so there is that. And I’m as sure as I wants me a Custom Kodiak that WW will see a trifecta before weeks end.
I posted this kind of late in the day on yesterday’s FGS, so I’ll give it a share here as well.
Joe Cryer the dog killer had his day in Court yesterday.
It looks like he pled guilty and got sentenced to a 3 years jail term, but 2 years, 6 months, and 1 day of it are suspended. He also gets 3 years of probation.
Follow the link, and then search this case number. D025CR19001371

Do we know if there are any other conditions or terms to the verdict on Joe Cryer the dog killer?
I’m not sure if there were. Unfortunately, the Maryland court website doesn’t post any files.
I sense a disturbance in the force.
Ed, the way I count it, we a a FGS Fourfecta!!!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a Goodnight!!
If Hatfield is homeless, he should ask the McCoys if he could stay with them, for real
And there is a Hat Tick score coming from, where else, Houston Texas !!!
Nice shootin’ Tex !!!

UpNorth sent me a link- I was hoping it to hold it off until the day after tomorrow, wishful thinking on my part.
Anyway, the doggie Gunner’s Mate was right and WW has his Trifecta on Christmas Eve. Since you all have been (mostly) good this year, here’s Santa’s helper to wish you all a Merry Christmas.
The pic of Santa’s Helper is just further proof that a certain Aeronautically Designated Squidly Swabbie Aviator loves us and wants us to be happy. And of course I was right, The King of Battle is always on Target…No short rounds here!
And the feminazi’s want us, red blooded American males to stop staring at beautiful ladies when it is in our genetic nature to do so…..
And THAT, boys and girls is some of the finest Santa’s Helper Elves I have seen this year !!!!!
Gracias !!!
Now there is the trifecta we were wanting for the holidays. A Festivus wish is granted by the gods, but in one incident. I wonder what the three dead perps thought they were going to steal in a single wide trailer in a low-end mobile home park.
Maybe they thought they were going to make off with someone’s drug stash?
I bet that is exactly the case.
