FoxNews is reporting that an Air Force general has lost one star over remarks to a junior Airman directed at her weight.
A former Air Force lieutenant general had a star removed from his rank after an investigation into his professional conduct uncovered alleged bullying – going so far as making pig noises at a female colleague over her weight – a report says.
The two remarks were detailed…
“Oink, oink… Are you really eating again?” the woman claims Levy told her while she was eating lunch one day, according to the Air Force Times.

During a business trip to Washington around March 2017, Levy is alleged to have made another remark to her while the government vehicle they were traveling in was hitting bumps on a road.
A witness in the report claims Levy said something similar to “If you lose a few pounds, maybe the vehicle would have less strain on it.”
When asked…
Levy told investigators that he didn’t recall the “oink, oink” incident or directing other comments toward the woman about her weight and eating habits, the Air Force Times reports. He added that if he did say things like that, “it was part of a good-natured give-and-take between the two of them,” the report said.

The general had his retirement ceremony & went on terminal leave back in late 2018. This dude was cleared to retire as a 3 star – until the allegations came out while on terminal. Instead of retiring as an 0-9, the general got shuttled off to a Pentagon desk job pending the investigation, and reverted back to major general because 60 days elapsed since he held a 3 star billet. An OGDB was conducted & determined he would retire as an 0-8. Yeah it was a long chain of incidents that led to this GOs demotion.

Once interviewed a design engineer from the then-hot-rising PC company… asked him why he wanted to leave a company where he could make skrillions. I remember we had “fat-boy” PT sessions at 1700 while in garrison for the few who didn’t make the height / weight ratio thingy. Silly thing is, a couple of them were PT studs but simply were stocky and short.

I remember when I went to boot Camp anyone who was a habitual run drop ( meaning more than once… ) had to dye their white skivvy shirt we PT’ed in red.
Of course the shirt ends up pink.
Physical Conditioning Platoon ( PCP) was referred to as Pork Chop Platoon by the DIs.
They were billeted near the rifle range and when my platoon was at the range they PTed on the same field.
I distinctly remember their DI’s making them ” root” around in the dirt with their noses and make oink noises.

Ugh, that woman was a witch and a half. First learned about her and her antics on TV Tropes. Seems like she isn’t terribly missed either. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, that’s someone who possibly could have gotten themselves murdered by a disgruntled employee because they couldn’t take the abuse anymore. Well, to be fair: as I recall, the Gen was in the NJ NG and Christie was then Governor of NJ.
Last time I checked, there ARE height/weight standards that are mandatory for military personnel – including NG generals. For elected or appointed civilian officials? Not so much.
Sounds to me like Christie was merely reminding the Gen in question that he needed to comply with the regs he was in charge of enforcing since they applied to him, too.
Good riddance. Peers can get by with ribbing each other. DI’s can poke fun at everyone in training. And there is that simple rule about being able to say things one on one that should not be said in the presence of others. Among other ignorant things this clown said and did.
