“Three Strikes…”

Man hurt in ‘possible self-defense’ stabbing
A stabbing in west Wichita leaves one man seriously injured.

Written by Jacob Bowles
Wichita Police officers found a 38-year-old man who had been stabbed in a parking lot near West and St. Louis just after 11 a.m. Saturday. The 38 year old had a single stab wound in his “left rib cage area,” according to Wichita Police Sgt. Troy Nedbalek.

Two people were found and detained a couple of blocks east of the incident. Investigators say the stabbing may have been self-defense.

“Witnesses that had seen the altercation pointed us in the direction of the suspects,” Sgt. Nedbalek said. “After detaining them, it’s sounding more along the lines of, it could be, possibly, a self-defense issue.”

Pistols & Bear Spray Stop Two Bear Attacks on Archery Hunters in Montana

Written by Jacob Bowles by Dean Weingarten
Two pairs of archery hunters were attacked by a grizzly bear or bears in Montana, in the Gravelly Mountains. The attacks occurred within 11 hours and one mile from each other. Because of the proximity, it is suspected the same bear was involved in both attacks.

The attacks are remarkably similar with an interesting difference. In one, the hunters used bear spray. In the other, they used 9 mm handguns. From mt.gov:

The first attack happened about 7:30 a.m. when two archery hunters from New Mexico were following elk tracks south of Cottonwood Creek, west of Black Butte. The two men said they were walking single file up a hill when they heard a noise. They both turned to see a bear charging toward them. The bear struck one of the men as the other was reaching for his bear spray. The man fell to his hands and knees, then the bear grabbed onto his backpack.

The other man deployed bear spray at the bear. When the spray reached the bear’s face, the bear let go of the first hunter and attacked the other hunter. The man continued spraying the bear’s face, and the bear eventually let go and left.

Both New Mexico hunters were injured, but they were able to walk back to their vehicle and make it to the hospital. According to Terri James of Shedhorn Sports, in Ennis, the New Mexico hunters had guns, but chose to use bear spray instead.

Chaos at Polk County tire store as argument leads to gunfire

by: Jeff Patterson
LAKELAND Fla. (WFLA) – Shelly Jones and a friend has just pulled in to the Wabash Tire Shop on Tuesday to have a flat fixed when they heard an argument starting.

Jones got out her cell phone to record what happened next. She was shocked when a woman at the tire shop got out a gun and started shooting.

“I just thought it was arguing going on, just a little argument, but I guess not,” said Jones.

People at the tire shop started running.

“Everybody was just running around and I was looking for a police officer to be coming, but none came,” said Jones.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating the shooting, but says the woman with the gun is not facing any charges.

Today, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, we have zero morts, an attention getting five inconvenienced, and two in the wind. So what if one’s a bear, he’s still in the wind. Right?

The individuals involved in the Wichita story seem to be as sketchy as the details. Prolly hear from the 3rd one again…soon!

I don’t have to out run the bear; I just have to out run you. Those fellows were lucky to barely escape with only semi minor injuries.

When you need help, the popo will be right there…eventually.

Nice home defender selection Mister. You may need them to help defend our Constitution. Mr. Tocqueville’s observation is coming true.

What was in the backpack? Jerky? Salami? Whiskey?

Bears will go after anything as long as they think it’s edible, and that includes your sorry behind.

Glad the two elk hunters sent the bear packing.
