Grantsville man shot roommate in self-defense, police say

GRANTSVILLE — An early morning shooting in Grantsville left one man injured and another under arrest, but not in connection with the shooting, according to police.About 4 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to a report of shots fired at a mobile home park, 520 W. Clark St., said Grantsville police officer Cody Painter. Officers arrived to find a man lying in the road with a gunshot wound.
The alleged shooter was found hiding behind a shed in a nearby backyard, Painter said.

Armed neighbor shoots suspect stabbing woman in her front yard
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man is dead and a woman is hospitalized after a house fire turned into a deadly shooting in north Houston.
It happened on E. 35th Street near Arlington in Independence Heights around 10 a.m. Thursday.
According to police and family, a man threw gasoline on the home and set it on fire.
When the residents of the home ran outside, the suspect started stabbing a woman with broken glass. Police say an armed neighbor then shot the suspect.

2 men shot in attempted home invasion in Bevo Mill neighborhood

ST. LOUIS — Two men were shot early Wednesday morning in St. Louis’ Bevo Mill neighborhood.The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Varrelmann Avenue.
Police said two men attempted to break into a home in the area when they were shot.
One man was shot in the stomach and the other was shot in the foot.
