Another Valor Thief- UPDATE

| August 29, 2019

LST 393 Veterans Museum

A couple weeks ago UpNorth sent us the disappointing news of WWII memorabilia stolen from ex-USS Muskegon, LST-393.

Valor Guardians Link

He now has good news, a suspect has been identified and will be arraigned on larceny charges.

From the article by Bob Brenzing:

MUSKEGON, Mich. – The assistant Muskegon County Prosecutor says that a man has been charged with stealing World War II memorabilia from a museum in Muskegon.

Tim Maat tells FOX 17 that John Anthony Zaputil, 61, will be arraigned sometime this week on larceny charges.

The USS LST 3939 Veterans Museum shared a surveillance photo on social media of a suspect on August 14. That photo led investigators to Zaputil.

If convicted, Zaputil could spend up to four years in prison.

Sorry Graybeard. I still say keel hauling is the way to go here. It may take several iterations, seems he has a lot of padding to work through.

“…keel hauling is the way…” And I still say, “by the neck and if he survives that hang him from the yardarm.”

I’ve still got rope.

Thanks for the Update. Glad they caught this low life mofo.

I notice you refer to the ex-USS Muskegon? Does it lose its name when decommissioned? Or is replaced?

Ex-PH2

What was he planning to do with that stuff?

Just nail his jail cell door shut, willya?

Cameron Kingsley

Possibly looking to sell it.

Toxic Deplorable Racist B Woodman

Yep. Navy crime, Navy punishment. Seems appropriate.

Graybeard

Well, OK AW1Ed, after you keelhaul him can we have more fun with him?

Having what’s left of his fat adz running nekk3d through the ‘Stan with some ragheads after him still sounds appropriate. After keelhauling, of course.

This guy has been identified as a “Doctor”:

“Doctor Is a Suspect In Thefts of Artifacts from WWII Veterans Museum

https://www.mlive.com/news/muskegon/2019/08/doctor-is-a-suspect-in-thefts-of-artifacts-from-wwii-veterans-museum.html

“Zaputil is a licensed osteopathic physician in Michigan and a licensed anesthesiologist in Iowa, according to those states’ records. He previously worked for the University of Iowa, though he left three or four years ago, according to a spokeswoman with the university’s department of anesthesiology.”

“Hilson said Zaputil is from Iowa, but had been staying at a local hotel for a couple of months.”

If the good Doctor really wants some Bling-Bling, he should take a trip to Elko, Nevada and visit the POW/MIA Awareness Biker Clu try to get their Bling-Blings off their vests and BDUs such as RANGER Tabs, Master Jump Wings, Diver’s Badges, NCO Insiquina, 82nd Airborne Pins, 2nd/75RANGER Regiment School and PLEASE TAKE OFF THOSE GOD SILLY BERETS OFF YOUR HEAD! SHAVE OFF YOUR BEARDS AND GOATEE AND WHACK OFF THAT PONYTAIL!

In other words, GROW UP AND GET A LIFE!!! GET A JOB!

GET OVER YOURSELF WITH YOUR “LOOK AT ME! BIKE CLUB!

Cameron Kingsley

If he really wanted some Bling, he coulda shoulda, had oughta joined up, o what, about 1976, become a Service Member even a Doctor at gubmit expense, served in Grenada, maybe; Desert Shield/Storm for sure. Coulda even been in the multiple ‘Stan/Sand Box Wars. You just a klepto POS doc, doing it for the thrills? Or, are you a genuine POS dumbass that wants to go to prison and become Bubba’s Bitch.

Maybe John Anthony Zaputil should join up with the Elko Crowd. Their TO&E prolly needs a medic ’bout now. Lot of d^cks and clenis been stepped on out there.

Spoiler alert….Fake seal on the way. Chip?

Mason

Did anesthesiology start paying poorly? Because I thought that was one of the better paying medical specialties.

Using the logic of the ‘hood we saw played outside Chicago last week, how else he going to afford shoes?

OWB

Has he applied with the VA yet??

RetiredDevilDoc8404

While keelhauling sounds good, given tubby’s love of Navy history he should receive a good practical application of several time honored traditions – sanding decks (the old fashioned way with no sander or sand paper) and chipping paint. All done under the close personal supervision of several old time BM1s and BMCs to keep him on task. Chip and repaint the whole LST inside and out his sentence isn’t complete until the job is done and corrosion is completely inhibited.

…sanding decks (the old fashioned way with no sander or sand paper)…

Holystone?
