A TAH Trifecta today, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. Three down and out, one inconvenienced and none in the wind. There’s always tomorrow.

“The two factions long struggled for control. (Some patterns start early: Barack Obama was not the first urban politician to complain that rural Pennsylvanians “cling to guns or religion.”)”

Ahhhhhhhh, a trio of DRTs and DOTs. Makes the morning brighter, the day cheerier, the coffee tastier.

(now the get up and have some)

  2. Ex-PH2 says:

What’s wrong with guns and religion? Don’t they make you feel all peaceful, or something?

    • Ret_25X says:

I may or may not have firearms that go to services on Sundays…

I may or may not have a shotgun that has gone to tent revival on a hot August night…

These firearms, if they do (in fact) exist, would certainly be of the “holy” variety…

  3. NHSparky says:

    Memo to reporters:

Shitbags (even serving shitbags) who break into people’s houses at 3 am that manage got get themselves shot are NOT victims. They are perps. And stupid ones at that.

    Fucking newsies.

    • J.R. Johnson says:

It would be my guess that “said Airman” was drunk and probably confused on which apartment he was at when his key didn’t work, so he decided to break his door down…oops wrong door. Not that it is required but I wonder if any warning was given?

      • 11B-Mailclerk says:

Long ago, in a crappy neighborhood, at the door of the the hovel:

Idiot: (pounding on door, hard) “Open this door b####! (Harder pounding and kicking) ” Open this door, b####! I’m gonna (several forcible felonies)!!”

11B-Mailclerk: (conversational, next to door) “no.” … (racks shotgun)

Idiot: (shrieks like little girl stung by bee) (runs away)

Turned out to be the very stoned/drunk neighbor from the next building.

    • Perry Gaskill says:

It’s possible for someone to be both the perpetrator of a break-in and the victim of a shooting if a homeowner decides to light up his sorry ass. The two terms aren’t mutually exclusive.

      noun: victim; plural noun: victims

a person harmed, injured, or killed as a result of a crime, accident, or other event or action.
      synonyms: sufferer, injured party, casualty, injured person, wounded person;

  4. 5th/77th FA says:

“…home invader was killed”…” shoot him to death”…”and pronounced dead”. And hopefully we’ll read that #4 caught him a nice staph infection in the hospital.

    Note to NHSparky…^word^

Note to Ex… Is Sister Mary Grace sharpening her pencil and whaling away with her ruler by now?

  5. MI Ranger says:

With the POUGHKEEPSIE shooting, I am wondering if the second victim was the resident or both “victims” were actually the home invaders?
It says the resident wrassled with the home invaders, got the gun and shot one, but doesn’t say whether he then proceeded to pistol whip the second, or that he got hit in the attempt to get the gun?

  6. Wilted Willy says:

Oh how I love a Trifecta in the morning!!!

    • rgr769 says:

That’s because it smells like “victory” for the armed homeowner. Plus, there will be no taxpayer money spent on trying and incarcerating the dirtbag burglars/home-invaders.

  7. docduracoat says:

That there revolver is a nice looking gun!
Snub nose revolvers just look wrong.
A little more barrel makes the gun look more balanced.

Mr. Poughkeepsee better buy his own gun.
Cant trust the criminals to provide you with one that is functional and loaded.
    Better to have your own.
