Funerals for AMM1c John O. Morris and CPL Ralph L. Bennett (World War II); and MSG Carl H. Lindquist (Korea)

Last November, DPAA announced that it had accounted for AMM1c John O. Morris, US Navy. AMM1c Morris was lost on Tarawa on 16 December 1943.

AMM1c Morris will be buried later this week – on Thursday, 1 August 2019 – in Seattle, Washington. Regrettably, DPAA does not seem to have posted the specific location for his funeral service or interment.

This April, DPAA announced that it had accounted for CPL Ralph L. Bennett, US Army. CPL Bennett was lost in Burma on 13 June 1944.

CPL Bennett will be buried later this week – on Saturday, 3 August 2019 – in Ames, Iowa. Regrettably, DPAA does not seem to have posted the specific location for his funeral service or interment.

Last November, DPAA announced that it had accounted for MSG Carl H. Lindquist, US Army. (The public announcement was made over 5 months after he had been accounted for.) MSG Lindquist was lost in North Korea on 29 November 1950.

MSG Lindquist will be buried early next week – on Monday, 5 August – in Arlington National Cemetery. Regrettably, DPAA does not seem to have posted the specific location for his funeral services.

CPL Bennett’s funeral service/burial will be at the Ames Municipal Cemetery at 11 AM, Saturday 3 August.
