Dad shoots dog attacking daughter, 4\

by: Daniel Hamburg
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Susquehanna Township father says he had no choice but to shoot and kill a dog to stop its vicious attack on his 4-year-old daughter.

Wynton Williams was walking with his wife and daughter Olivia in the High Pointe Club Apartments on Thursday when the loose dog growled and then lunged at the girl, grabbed her by the neck, and dragged her into a mulch bed.

“Me and my wife started to kick and punch the dog to try to get him to release, but he wouldn’t release,” Williams said. “He took her further into the mulch bed, at which point I grabbed his upper jaw, and as I grabbed his jaw, he released from my daughter’s neck.”

Williams desperately wrested the dog, screaming for help. A friend handed him a gun and he fired one shot.

“I got up. The dog kept moving. I put another shot in. As I thought it was over, the dog went to lunge again and I put two more shots. I put one in his chest and one in his head,” Williams said.

Williams and his wife rushed their daughter to a hospital. Deep wounds to her neck required 30 to 40 stitches.

Ford Employee Fired For Self-Defense Shooting Rehired, Gets Back Pay

By Megan Hickey
CHICAGO (CBS) — He was called a “deranged gunman” and charged with attempted murder for a South Side shooting, but after three long years, he’s cleared his name and won his job back.

In June 2016, then 50-year-old Ford employee Billy Cowart was charged for shooting off his gun in the United Auto Workers 551 parking lot. He struck two fellow union members — both in the leg.

“They made it seem like I was this villain, I’m shooting up the parking lot willy nilly. It didn’t happen like that,” Cowart said.

He was fired from Ford, where he had worked for nearly two decades. He spent a year and a half on house arrest, depleted his savings, and says his reputation was destroyed.

And the legal process was slow, in part because his case was transferred from his original Cook County Judge Joseph Claps after Claps was caught on camera dropping a handgun on the floor in the courthouse last fall.

The second judge reviewed the surveillance video from the night of the shooting and said the victim, who was intoxicated and seen sucker punching Cowart in the face, was clearly the aggressor.

The judge ruled that Cowart was legally defending himself.

“Now, here we are today, 12 counts all dismissed,” said Cowart’s attorney, Irena Stephanovski.

Cowart had been exonerated but was still out of a job.

“Ford didn’t want to have anything to do with me,” he said.

So, he filed a grievance in January and finally won this week. An arbitrator ruled that Ford fired him without just cause and he should be reinstated with no loss of seniority and a year of back pay.

Man shot after assaulting homeowner Friday night in Finley

Camila Rios
FINLEY, WA – A man was shot after assaulting a homeowner around 9:45 p.m. on Friday night.

Benton County Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of Dague Road and Bowles Road in Finley for a report of a physical disturbance.

When deputies arrived they detained Cody Meyers. A medic was also called to the scene because Meyers was bleeding severely from his head and he had been shot five times.

An investigation revealed that Meyers walked inside a house and assaulted the homeowner, which is when a friend grabbed a pellet rifle and shot Meyers in an attempt to get him to release the victim.

Not enough club, but any port in a storm, I suppose. The rest of the article may be found here: NBC Right Now

Starting the work week, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, with one dead dog and its owner responsible for a vicious mauling, one cleared of charges for a no score, and one indisposed while having pellets removed. None in the wind, of course, so I’m going with a 1 / 1 / 0 for the day.

Without either the first or second amendment, we would have no liberty; the first allows us to find out what’s happening, the second allows us to do something about it! The second will be taken away first, followed by the first and then the rest of our freedoms.

Dog’s owner should be shot too. FIRST for teaching the dog to be aggressive (a learned trait) and second for not keeping the dog secured. Now in addition to physical scars from this attack, the girl will have a fear of dogs for the rest of her life. A true case of PTSofD.

Cook County, Illinois. Wasn’t there a motion picture that disparaged their entire justice system AND their tax assessments? How many Ford cop cars got destroyed in the making of that one? Homeboy lucky that the Judge saw the light and the union went on a mission to save his job. Most major companies have a zero tolerance for weapons on company property, this includes union halls or any company function. Discipline up to and including immediate termination.

Washington: If a “hammer” is your only tool, make sure it’s a big one.

After seeing that plasticized prostitution pr0n of the designs of the Saintly John Moses Browning (howitzer be his name) I had to turn into His Book of Rev. Ch 19 v 11.

Susquehanna, Pa?? Wasn’t the Susquehanna hat company located on Flugal or Fleegal Street??. At least the perp who got shot with the pellet gun didn’t get his eye shot out. Or was the old saying about a BB gun. I wish I still had my old Daisy Mod-25 BB gun but the spring broke and I threw it out but still have that little screw driver that came with it.
