Joseph Biden Launches Campaign and Calls for Unity

Joseph Biden launched his campaign with a rally. As a part of the speech he gave, he talked about angry Democrats, and how it appeared that angry Democrats may have traction with regards to standing among voters.

“Our politics has become so mean, so petty, so negative, so partisan, so angry and so unproductive,” he said. “Instead of debating our opponents we demonize them. Instead of questioning judgements, we question their motives. Instead of listening, we shout.”

Joe Biden argued that the Democrats want unity and that they want to unify the country. He couched his speech to show himself as a centrist. But, for someone that claims to want to have unity, he took jabs at a man that many in this country support.

Someone should tell Joe Biden that attacking someone that many conservatives support isn’t exactly a unifying action.

“If the American people want a president to add to our division, to lead with a clenched fist, closed hand and a hard heart, to demonize your opponents and spew hatred — they don’t need me, they’ve got President Donald Trump” he said to boos.

He took this opportunity to ignore the fact that the economy took off largely as a result of President Trump’s reversing many of Obama’s stifling regulations.

He also claimed that Trump inherited a good economy from an “Obama/Biden administration, just like he inherited everything else in his life” — a barb that drew some of the loudest applause in his speech.

Nope. The economy got better and fielded good numbers because many of the last president’s policies were reversed, many regulations were removed, and a conservative economic agenda was put into place.

Many businesses and corporations didn’t invest as much during the Obama years, as they didn’t trust an economy influenced by democrat economic policies. With President Trump’s policies put into place, these businesses and corporations, the real economic engine and job creators, invested in the economy more than they previously invested.
