Death threat made against Navy SEAL Gallagher

Special Warfare Operator Chief Petty Officer Eddie Gallagher, the Navy SEAL accused of war crimes against ISIS, among other charges, has at least been transferred from the brig at U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Miramar to another facility in the San Diego-area. This at the suggestion of Commander in Chief Trump.

Gallagher’s legal team is now accusing his commander of undermining the orders by imposing “unnecessary and punitive restrictions” and hopes to entrap him in a violation to get him “remanded back to the brig.”

And now this.

By Melissa Leon
A death threat written in Arabic was sent to Navy SEAL Chief Eddie Gallagher.

The threat was mailed to Naval Medical Center San Diego, where Gallagher is living and restricted to until his court-martial trial begins May 28.

Gallagher’s civilian defense attorney, Tim Parlatore, confirmed the threat to American Military News, and said he was notified Wednesday by the prosecutors. It is unclear when the threat was received or when Navy prosecutors were notified.

The postcard was created through an internet printing site and mailed from New York, Parlatore said. It was then intercepted in the mail room of the medical center and sent to prosecutors, he continued, noting that he was not made aware of the death threat until the next day. And his client had not been made aware of it until Parlatore called Gallagher to inform him of the postcard, he noted.

The postcard contains a screen shot image of the critically wounded ISIS fighter that Gallagher is alleged to have killed, along with some text along the lines of, “You killed me. You’re guilty. I’ll see you in hell,” according to Parlatore.

Have to treat every threat as legit, and it seems someone went to no small effort to make this one. The rest of the article may be viewed here: American Military News.

I feel like threatening the life of a man being held on charges of torturing and killing someone is not a wise life choice.

Seems to me the people making the death threat have a death wish. Here’s hoping they succeed in getting their wish.

Ya, well I have never jumped on the free Gallagher bandwagon.

Hate to see him locked up but there is something about the whole mess that makes me think there is enough blame to go around.

I figure there are a few others they should throw into his cell for a while.

Its a shit show that nobody wins.

I think the death threat is more bullshit drummed up by Gallagher or one of his minions.

We get more serious threats than that every month, I just don’t piss and moan about it.

Eh, unless one is in the actual loop, its hard to arm chair the security of an individual. Plenty of other places they could have secreted him to. SD wouldn’t have been my first choice.

I called on military medical facilities for thirty years as a vendor and their security is a joke. The only place I ever got stopped was if I tried to enter flag country and sometimes not even there.

Places like Balboa Medical Center in San Diego simply have too much daily traffic of civilian employees, retirees, dependents and vendors to be able to impose any meaningful security.

The Amphibious Base at Coronado used to have very tight security but that’s where the command is hostile. They could stash him someplace out of the way like the boat training facility at Stennis in Mississippi or the Diving School in Panama City. Last time I was at those places they had pretty good security.

Of course, if the rumors are true that Gallagher made threats against the families of fellow SEALs, then the potential threats he faces may possess security clearances that would enable them access to just about any military facility.
