AnotherPat sends us a link to the strange activities of former US Marine Christopher Philip Ahn, who with a group of like-minded people took it upon themselves to attack the North Korean embassy in Spain. Read on:
The Associated Press | By Christopher Weber and Michael Balsamo
LOS ANGELES — A U.S Marine veteran from Southern California was part of a group of dissidents wielding machetes and fake guns when they stormed North Korea’s embassy in Madrid and tied up and beat officials inside, federal prosecutors alleged in a criminal complaint released Tuesday.
Spain is seeking to extradite Christopher Philip Ahn on charges including robbery, illegal restraint and criminal organization. Judge Jean Rosenbluth denied bond for Ahn during a Los Angeles court hearing attended by his wife, mother and about two dozen other supporters.
The judge also denied a defense request to keep the complaint sealed. The Associated Press wrote a letter to Rosenbluth strongly objecting to keeping documents private, though the judge said she was inclined to make them public anyway since Ahn’s name was already reported.
Prosecutors said Ahn, 38, was arrested during a raid last week on the Los Angeles apartment of a co-defendant, Adrian Hong Chang, a leader of the Free Joseon group. Hong Chang was not at home and has not been arrested.
Free Joseon, also known as the Cheollima Civil Defense group, styles itself as a government in exile dedicated to toppling the ruling Kim family dynasty in North Korea.
Nothing wrong with peaceful demonstrations against Kim’s regime, but attacking embassies go far beyond rational protests. The rest of the article may be found here: Military News

Have to admit that in the back of my mind am curious about his status of being a “Marine Veteran”…
In a way, he kinda reminds me of some (not all) folks who are members of the Oathkeepers or unrecognized US “Militia” groups..
Thank You, Ed, for posting.
Spain can have him, where I’m concerned.
He’s an embarrassment to himself.
Wonder if Spain could turn him or his group over to North Korea…or is he protected by the US in that happening…
What.a.dumbass! Machetes and fake guns? Against an Embassy? Don’t they have their Marines/Soldiers as guards just as we do? After Spain gets thru with them, will the Norks get him next? That would not bode well.
Better to end their lives now before the Norks get a hold of them.
Prostate check!
Any takers on filing a FOIA for Marine services on Christopher Philip Ahn?
Birth records show that he was born in Los Angeles, California on 12 January 1981.
This is the website for Cheollima Civil Defense, the organizaion that Ahn belongs to.
You have to scroll thru the pages to read what they say in English (unless you know Korean).

Since Ahn was born in the United States,am curious why he was interested in joining this group as well as traveling to Spain to the North Korean Embassy.
Possibly a relative that was killed in North Korea motivated him?
motivation? Prior service Marine, so there’s probably a vajajay in the equation somewhere. 🙂
Ms Dustoff, a native of the penniusla, is no fan of fat boys commie “utopia”, but I don’t think even she would attack a DPRK embassy. Wait…. on second thought.
I have never been a fan of either North Korea OR the Kim Dynasty either, but going to another Country and assaulting their Embassy Personnel is way past mega-STUPID in my book. Last time I checked, a Nation’s Embassy compound is considered Sovereign and invading one can be considered an Act of War if I’m correct. I say extradite those idiots and let the Spaniards have them.
Give him some real gats and a medal. Fuck North Korea.
