Transgender Policy Takes Effect
According to AOLNews.com the Trump adminstration’s policy on transgenders serving in the military went into effect on Friday 12 Apr 2019.
The Trump administration’s rule barring most transgender people from serving in the military went into effect Friday, following a long and complex legal battle.
Under the new policy, which was approved by the Pentagon in March, transgender people currently serving in the military can continue to do so if they agree to serve in the gender assigned to them at birth.
But most individuals who require hormone treatments or transition surgery will not be allowed to serve. Though service secretaries may grant waivers on a case-by-case basis.
The policy isn’t as strict as the total ban President Donald Trump originally ordered in 2017.
There, of course, will be lawsuits so we have not heard the last of this.

The fine SJW’s of IAVA have their panties in a wad over this one and are planning a rally AGAINST the policy today in NY. Strangely enough they were surprised by the blowback they got from members… here’s a thought – you want to pass yourself off as a veteran’s service organization, then leave the social justice issues to the snowflakes and concentrate on the burn pits, the VA, veteran suicides, access to mental health treatment and veteran homelessness.
Direct Hit!
Fire for effect!
The more things change, the more they revert to what was.
I wondered what would happen when the policy became effective.
Well as the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but a pencil must be lead (led)
If the military is not willing to perform liposuction on a morbidly obese but otherwise qualified candidate in order to serve, they should not be performing surgery on transgender people. The military needs to recruit the best and brightest with the minimal of “baggage”, that being medical issues, legal issues and other distractions. And just how long is a transgender service member in a non-deplorable status while going to medical appointments, surgery, and recovery? Don’t worry, that guy that just came back from his third back to back deployment will pick up the slack.
Plus, they have to take hormone and other meds for the rest of their lives post surgery, which would also make many of them permanently non-deployable, depending on MOS.
Nailed it Hack! Whether gender confusion is a mental, physical, or emotional condition you are either fit to serve at ANY posting or at none at all. Being in the military is not a right up held by the Constitution. Saw any number of potential recruits turned away “back in the day” for any number of medical or physical reasons.
Having to pay for someone’s whackoffmydicktomectomy, addadickitis and/or the medications required to convice their mind and body to accept things that God didn’t give them is not in MY area of responsibility.

Right on schedule, Hollywood’s useful idiots are melting down over this, and Trump’s idea of flooding Sanctuary Cities with illegals.
Hollywood Melts Down After Military Transgender Policy Begins: ‘Truly F*cking Cruel’
Oh the humanity- Trans have to stay in their birth sex while serving.

What part of “medically unfit” or “medically nondeployable is so fucking hard to understand? Every service member does not have to deploy, but every service member MUST be deployable! It doesn’t matter what makes you nondeployable.
Good. The military isn’t a fucking social experiment. It’s purpose is to beat the balls off the adversary and into submission or to kill if they refuse to comply.
“transgender people currently serving in the military can continue to do so if they agree to serve in the gender assigned to them at birth”. Don’t like the rules, get the fuck out under a General.
So is Bradly Manning in a co-ed lock up?
The intel branch is expected to be hardest hit.
All Division choirs will be wiped out.
12 April 2019?
Fixed. Thanks. Should have been 12 Apr 2019, yes.
Lars…..LARS?
Please guide me.
I am on record here saying that it is perfectly reasonable for gender dysphoria to be a disqualifying medical condition.
There are hundreds of conditions that are disqualifying through no fault of the individual.
As for those currently serving and no longer serving in their birth gender; there was a bit of a bait and switch due to policy changes. This will need to be settled in courts. I think someone currently serving honorably has a strong case to be given an exception to continue to serve.
This should not have been such a ridiculous political issue. But it seemed to serve both sides in rallying outrage.
A rational, reasonable reply? Who the fuck are you and what have you done with Lars?
*grin*
Not 100% on board, but pretty close. I’ll call this one win-win.
Wow, something we all agree on here. Don’t tell your Antifa buddies at the Berzerkely Academy of Crypto-Commie Indoctrination. They will likely beat you to death with bike locks for this heretical view.
Commissar has had several positions with which I, and I believe, others have agreed. Some of the problem is that when he’s wrong, he’s really wrong. Still, I would prefer him posting than not posting.
This is so.crazy.I guess it’s just because I am old.I have some little.education, but logic.doesn’t apply to silliness.nature doesn’t do things.that will cause an organism to not reproduce.People get learned behavior mixed.up with natural behavior.Man is the only animal that bushes or needs to. When did start taking such stuff serious, and maybe 1% of population in control of the rest of us. At ease
Man I messed that up.Free to edit and way that passes you
Crap pleased you.sh it fire puss fuck
Sure am happy that I served when men were men and women were women. 1964-67 1st Bn 48th Infantry Dragoons.
My older brother was a 1/48 Dragoon there at Gelnhausen during the same time frame (63-65).
He was a First Cook at the Bn Mess.
Logistically looking at this as a double win-win for all the Armed Forces as well as big government. When all the currently back-ordered requisitions for the testicular prothesis implants are canceled and the monies refunded, there should be more than enough ready cash to build the border wall./smile
Side note: the NSN’s for the four different sizes (Lrg, Med, Sm, and X-Small) are available upon request.
Why did we wait so long stand-up to the idiocy of the less than 1% from destroying our country, our military, and our families? We failed to speak up and say no, “the King has no pants”. USN MM2/E5 74-79.
