Poetrooper Opinion Post
“Now move the teleprompter THIS much…”
Poe has an opinion, you ask? Dangerous waters and here be dragons, mates. Poe can slice and dice with the very best, and he’s not a bit shy, or apologetic about it. Usually there’s not much left to bag and tag, either. I feel sorry for his editor here at TAH.*grin*
Here’s Poe:
Corrupt Chicago infected our nation’s politics, with Obama as its agent
With every passing week, we’re learning more about how the FBI and the Obama Justice Department did their best to ensure the election of Hillary Clinton by undermining Donald Trump. Try as Democrats might to prevent it, the truth is slowly coming into the light, thanks to some tenacious seekers of truth on the right side of the political spectrum. What has become crystal-clear in this forensic process is the reality that the Democratic Party, led by Barack Obama, is a corrupt criminal enterprise that if left unchecked will eventually poison the lifeblood of this country, a societal sepsis that, like most such systemic infections, may prove fatal to the body of America.
What has brought us to this critical point in our nation’s destiny? I submit that it is the malignant Chicago political machine and Chicago politics, introduced into the national bloodstream in the form of Barack Obama, a local community organizer whose pleasing demeanor and sonorous, mellifluous oratory, and nothing more, led to his phenomenal rise from political unknown to frontrunner for president. He was a product of the Chicago Machine, a political cartel quite willing to front this unknown young black man for president if it brought the machine’s bosses greater national influence and power, which it did.
To head up a corrupt system of enforcement, a thoroughly corrupt leader is required, and the Democratic Party had a ready candidate waiting in the wings: senior legal advisor to the Obama campaign Eric Holder. If you tried, you couldn’t devise a better agent for the toxic infection of the federal Justice Department and its enforcement arm, the FBI, than Eric Holder. In testimony before a congressional investigation of white voter suppression by Philadelphia Black Panthers, Holder made it clear with his “my people” reference that he and his Justice Department were unquestionably skewed racially. It is only now that we are confirming our suspicions as to how thoroughly and corruptly he and his boss had skewed it politically.
With the revelations coming out of congressional hearings into the FBI investigations into Donald Trump, we are learning just how despicably corrupt our national law enforcement has become, employing venal Chicago prosecutorial and policing methods on a national scale. The latest has an FBI lawyer telling congressional investigators that her agency’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s all too obvious violations of federal security laws were thwarted by unnamed persons in the Obama Justice Department, persons who, as we all know, do not ever operate without the approval and direction of their superiors, a rule that holds true going all the way to the top.
Or the bottom — depending on your point of view.

What a great POV, Po.
I had to chuckle thru most of it. Not that I find your pice humorous – but thinking, well, hell, maybe the chickens are coming home to roost. And crap all over the lot of them.
Fire Mission, Fire Mission, Fire Mission. Bam, Bam, Bam, on target Fire for effect.
Preach on Brother Poe. A lot of us have discussed this same subject here and in other places for years, especially since the ’16 election. The legacy of the Daly crowd is still with us.
If you dig deep enough into history you will find another election of a semi unknown politician that was helped by Chicago pols in the 19th century. They helped beat out the Tammary Hall Gov Seymour crowd to take the 16th president spot.
Good post, we wid you. Lock them ALL up.
How does someone who never had a real job after college, that becomes a community organizer for a short time, that becomes a state senator for a short time, that becomes a federal senator for a short time, that become president for eight years…
Have a net worth of $40 million and lives in a $8 million house…
While NEVER making more than $400,000/year and only that much in the last few years?
Well he does have a Nobel Peace Prize…
AOC – ask her.
Really? Do you not recall him writing two best sellers?
https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalexander/2017/01/20/how-barack-obama-has-made-20-million-since-arriving-in-washington/#8cf8bc45bf05
“Best seller” is even more of a scam than “peace prize”.
Especially for zer0.
Right. You dislike the Obamas, so other people surely wouldn’t buy their books?
Michelle Obama’s book was the best-selling book of 2018:
http://fortune.com/2018/11/30/michelle-obama-becoming-sales/
And “Dreams from My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope” have sold over 4.7M copies, and were up there on various best seller lists for many months, not to mention being translated to well over 20 languages.
Total scam, obviously.
Well said, Poe.
Maybe I”m too cynical, but I’m starting to lose faith that these criminals will see charges. The crimes of these people far exceed anything that can be excused by incompetence.
Wait, are you guys suggesting that the exalted Prince of Chicago and his Merry Group of Saints used FISA and the DOJ to run an organized crime syndicate?
Someone should alert the main stream media, Im sure they’d LOVE this scoop!
This reminds me of a rule I thought of none to long ago…
Sorry I hit report, what I wanted go say was Fast and Furious.
We’re still pretty pissed off about that little Obama and Holder episode in Az. Cocksuckers.
Don’t even get me started on that BS!
No worries, if I’m not reported it’s the outlier. Is there even any impact to reporting comments?
It’s a great way to get this Admin’s attention; comments that piss me off have been known to simply disappear. You’re good with me, Roh-Dog.
So far, anyway.*grin*
My own view is that it’s important to keep an eye on the ball. While it’s true Chicago and machine politics, including figures such as Eric Holder and Rahm Emmanuel, might have been a corruptive factor, it would be a mistake to ignore the influence of the Clintons and their minions.
A more immmediate issue, at least it seems to me, is also the question of what is the current cause of a highly-toxic partisan atmosphere generally resulting in a current state of political gridlock– and what to do about it. Another question is how many high-level DOJ and FBI figures saw a Trump White House as being a direct threat to their jobs.
I’ve been following a slightly different track while trying to understand some of this, and have found it remarkable how much of the anti-Trump effort has been triggered by the so-called Steele Dossier, pretty much an obvious flight of expensive fiction paid for by a DNC controlled by Hillary Clinton and Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Call it speculation, but one possible explanation is that everything that has followed, including a $25 million Mueller investigation, has been the result of a deflection to protect Hillary’s private email server and what was on it.
Even by Democrat machine standards, the Clintons are -epicly- corrupt.
Folks I knew who left Arkansas in the Clinton era had much to say on just how bad it was.
Billy Jeff was a strong moderator of his enforcer wife. He had some vestigial scruples and restraint that she lacks. Her?
Nada
We dodged a major catastrophe when Hildabeast lost. The folks advocating for the defeat of Trump, and thus the crowning of the Red Queen, will not be treated kindly by history.
I got an earful of Clinton disparagement when I rode with an Arkansas Civil War re-enactment cav unit at the Wilson’s Creek re-enactment in 1990. Those Arkansas boys were not fans of their Governor; and that was when hardly anyone outside of that state had ever heard of him.
That partisan atmosphere rests squarely on the heads of the socialist democrats. Back when Serial rapist Bill and mass murderer Hill got in, the socialist dems decided that the way to go was adversarial politics. Their way or no way. Establishment republicans either went along, claiming they were “taking the high moral road”, (meaning they were corrupt pussies that knew better but didn’t really care as long as they stayed in office), or did nothing. The real Americans, the conservatives, then found they had to respond or lose their country to the enemy. Enter Trump, who has a lot of people against him and still gets stuff done anyway.
But most of this goes squarely to the heart of the matter. The people of America. A large percentage of them are lazy gutless impotent fucks who for the most part cannot be bothered to educate themselves and make the effort to vote and such, then sit on their asses and piss and moan about how they don’t approve of what
DC is doing in their names.
I find it a bit rich that the day news comes out that Elliot Broidy’s office was raided by the Feds for allegedly trying to sell WH access to foreigners, Poe writes that the Democrats are the corrupt criminal enterprise. For those keeping track at home, Broidy (who is not yet charged with anything, mind you) is an RNC finance chair. What other illustrious stalwarts also held that position in recent days? Oh, one Michael Cohen, soon going to jail.
He’s hardly the only one, though – we’ve got Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, Rick Gates and Roger Stone all facing that, too, though some are cooperating. The Trump Foundation was shut down in NYC after a judge found a ‘shocking pattern of illegality’. And that’s just some of the stuff that’s already worked its way through the courts – we’re not even touching upon the countless other investigations for which some evidence of wrongdoing exists.
But, oh, we can wave this all away because the Republican-lead DOJ & FBI are in cahoots to … I’m not sure what, exactly? Manufacture evidence to support Clinton, who other people in government tell us nobody liked anyway? Is that the position people here are taking? All to ‘get’ the President?
I certainly won’t argue that the Democrats are bastions of ethical behavior, but this reeks of projection at an epic scale. What will be ‘fatal to America’ is not this foolish notion that Democrats are so insidious and clever that they control law enforcement somehow, but rather the complete and utter unwillingness of some to see the smoke of corruption from their own side and consider, even for a moment, that there might be a fire there.
Even by Dem standards, Clintons are the class of the world in corruption.
“Selling access” is pattycake compared to what the (almost) Red Queen did.
She willfully and intentionally and repeatedly violated security of classified materials, for convenience.
Unless it was deliberate. I doubt she gave a damn enough for that. “Rules are for little people” covers it sufficiently.
You prefer the Red Queen over Trump? History will not be kind to you. When she passes, and folks no longer fear her retaliation, the words will flow. You are not going to enjoy learning just what a monster was handed to reins of the Party.
To thunderous applause.
Who ever said I prefer Clinton? My loathing of her is pretty well documented on this site alone.
But if we’re talking about corruption within a party, and not specific individuals, I’m still scoring the game in favor of the Republicans these days. Sadly it’s not exactly a low-scoring game on either side, but the Democrats seem to excel at individual idiots, whereas the Republicans have truly made it a team effort.
“Republicans have truly made it a team effort.”
Come on, LC. The DNC itself rigged their entire primary to give the nomination to Hillary. Doesn’t get much more of a team effort than that.
I call bullshit on you LC. No one here ever claimed that the republican side was pure. But they are certainly not pulling the criminal shit the socialist dems have been doing for nearly 30 years now. And they are BLATANT about it. Particularly under Obama. He made it clear his administration would do whatever they wanted because he was special and he had a pen and a phone. And half of those you mentioned got busted for nothing political or even close to it – income tax charges. Not one political charge involving Trump had been successfully laid or prosecuted yet. The socialist dem effort to manufacture evidence during the Mueller witchhunt has failed on an epic scale, as we knew it would. Meanwhile Obama is now known to have ordered his DOJ to prevent the FBI from actively investigating and prosecuting Hillary for multiple felonies, including what amounts almost to espionage under Title 10’s requirements.
Yeah, the republicans are just like the socialist democrats, what with murdering babies, doing away with that pesky Constitution, instilling socialism in America, and all.
The really ironic thing in all of the the former Glorious Leader’s corruption is that he and Das Hildabeast are known to despise eachother. That makes me ponder why exactly he covered for the bitch. Did she pay him off, or at least promise to do so once elected? Does she have dirt on him of such magnitude that not even the MSM would cover for their manufactured messiah? Did the Chicago bosses to whom he was beholden order him? Or are they both so committed to the leftist agenda that they were willing to set aside their extensive animosity and collaborate?
We know that Obama corresponded with Hillary using burner email addresses on her private server.
He protected her because if he didn’t, his ass fried too.
He could well have been afraid of her, what with the trail of bodies around the clintoons.. or it could have been the promise of a SCOTUS appointment for Mooch…
Well, that’s where I’ll respectfully disagree, Steve. But perhaps we’re talking past each other, because it’s not the political machinations that worry me – it’s the personal corruption of people who are supposed to represent us.
I’m not that troubled by the notion that one political party is going to skew things towards their world-view, only for it to skew the other way when the White House or Congress goes the other way. That’s been happening since time immemorial, and tends to rebound. And, arguably, when that happens, it’s because they’re pushing policies the people who voted for them want. A black Attorney General feels differently than white people about racism? Stop the press! No, that doesn’t strike me as corruption.
But, taking money from foreign interests just to line your pockets and/or give you a larger war-chest to push your agenda? That’s problematic for me in a larger way because it’s no longer policy dictated by voters, but rather policy dictated by personal gain.
The Libertarian in me finds much accuracy in your comment.
The realist in me often suggests to a not very receptive crowd on either side of the aisle that both parties are notorious for ignoring the shitbags on their side while absolutely howling in disgust at the shitbags from the other the side.
The jaded cynic in me suggests that nothing is going to change because both sides are bought and paid for by the same corporate interests. That jaded part recognizes that the people actually in control, the power brokers buy influence from both parties and have routinely been able to make the legislation that benefits them pass with far more regularity than the rest of the nation.
Fun fact, no matter how many people support a piece of legislation from the general public the general public can’t get more than 25% of what it deems necessary to pass Congressional halls into the President’s hands for signing. Meanwhile the top 10% of wealth holders get about 80% of what they want since the early 1900s. The influence of money is clearly evident in the actions of both parties.
I see at least one article every day on how the Orange Man Bad crowd views everything the administration does as corrupt. But being a Libertarian I remember that same Orange Man Bad crowd making fun of Bush as Shrub and being vehemently anti-war during the Bush years, they revealed their lack of integrity by losing all their anti-war signs during the Obama years and not saying a word when he added three nations to the four we were already bombing and increased drone strikes ten fold.
Selective morality is nothing new, selective outrage is nothing new.
The level of anti-Trump hysteria might be something new as it combines the media as a propaganda tool. That’s fodder for another conversation to be certain.
What is truly rich, LC, is your inability to recognize the irony of your own argument that the Republicans are the ones going to prison. That’s precisely the point–Republicans are going to pay for their criminal behaviors while the Democrats skate. What do you suppose would be the result if a special investigative team made up of several dozen ardent Trump supporters was set loose to conduct a two year proctological exam of the DNC and the Obama administration? Think perhaps a few more Democrats than the handful of Republicans Mueller has found to charge, none for the purported collusion by the way, might be headed for some hard time?
Rich indeed…
I suspect that LC is a lifelong prog who may be a paid troll. Admittedly, he not as clueless as the commie cuttlefish but just as dedicated to his lefty worldview. He never misses a chance to defend the 0bama regime and the D-rats.
Lars? Where are you loser?
I like the disclaimer from our local AM talk radio station….

Excellent post Poe! Spot on.
If one were to trace the roots of the Chicago activism, then studying Julius Rosenwald and the Rosenwald Foundation would be a good place to start!
Seems Sears & Roebuck is just about out of business.
