Well I am out of breath after all that. I just happen to have a GED so I guess that puts me firmly in the moron catagory. Plus i am a deplorable I might as well jump off a tall cliff.
education and schooling are not the same thing. If they were, there could have been no advancement in the long history prior to the creation of schooling.
No, schooling is a jobs program for men too weak to hunt or work while education is a process of learning.
You might add, those “without common sense”, must have education to help fill in gaps……but education does NOT fill in the gaps!

Our danger now is not getting out the vote this November and again in 2020. There are so many folks that think like us who will not get out, the whole “my one vote doesn’t count” crowd. That is one area that the dims have all over us. They will curry comb all the hoods and cemeteries to register every name, and then provide absentee ballots and rides to the polls to make sure the vote goes their way. Kinda funny, have a friend here who’s “people” have always been counted on to vote “their way.” Local pol has always sent the bus around and slipped folding money to them. My man would take this crook’s money and vote for the other person. We finally voted this A H out in ’16. In my nearly 50 years of voting, I have done more voting against, than voting for. I voted AGAINST Hitlery Wide Load McPantsuit, the murderous Trash from Hell Bitch of Bengahzi, more so than I voted for the Trumpster. The Donald, IMHO, despite the road blocks thrown up by dims & rinos, has done a fine job and I plan on giving him a second chance. I have earned a High School Diploma, A Certificate of Completion from a Trade School, and did 2 years of College in Business Admin. Do not have a diploma for that. Have always been a deplorable, and hope now, in spite of my official education, I can still be counted in the ranks of the morons. God Save the Queen!
Durnit, I only have 29 hours past my BA. I just didn’t feel like sitting through 3 bleeping semesters of Art History, but maybe I’d better do that now. All those cave paintings….

I heard that if you can count to potato without eating all the crayons that qualifies you to be an Officer!
So can I. I can even count to ten without using my fingers, though it gets kinda iffy after that.
My recruiter was estatic. He wanted me to go do something that required being able to count past potato. I chose the infantry.

Don’t bother. Getting my BS is probably the most underwhelming accomplishment of my life. Waste of money.

Oddly enough….When I was on recruiting duty, I found that those with GED’s tended to score higher on the ASVAB.
I, too, am the proud holder of a GED. As I like to say, I quit high school and enlisted b/c I hated authority. I even wrote that on my law school application statement many years ago. So, yeah, I is one of them maroons.
The assumption that people quit high school b/c they can’t handle the academics is true in some cases but not nearly all. The same holds true for college grads. They are presumed to be ‘smarter’ than those who never attended college or dropped out, but, good gawd almighty, most that I know are dumb as hell.
I know some college grads, and I’ll second that sentiment wholeheartedly.

That Commissar guy was more of a professional student. Never learning anything practical or applying anything he learned. Just another douchebag wallowing in academia and living in a fantasy land. And we lived in his head, rent free.

THIS education made me more of a harder, tougher, caring, stick-to-my-guns, stubborn, get the job done right, knowing wrong from right individual than any other type of schooling that I could have possibly signed up for.
I know a number of people that have a GED.
Hard workers & smart…a couple have successful businesses.
Yeah, I did manage to go a bit past my high school diploma, but only to make myself a more rounded individual. (laughing)

Never confuse education with intelligence.
I barely made it out of H.S. with a General diploma which was wood shop, general drafting,History and one other which I can’t remember. Back then, students with this type of diplomas were called flunkies. After H.S. , Mom had me take an Aptitude test over at Hofstra University to find out what I was good for. Getting a Square peg through a round hole was a breeze using a good size sledge hammer. Only kidding about the hammer. As far as academia colleges are concerned for me to go to, forget about it.
Kids who went to school in the 19th century were better educated than the sludge that comes out of academia nowadays. Better educated by far.
If they got through the 8th grade, that was usually enough for them, and they went to work in the family business or whatever was available.
This bunch today can barely sign their own names, never mind do simple arithmetic without a calculator.
And people who graduated from college in the 20th Century, especially before the grade inflation set in in the 1980’s and ’90’s, are better educated than the recent batches of politically indoctrinated mush heads churned out by our leftist academia. Back in the 1960’s and 1970’s, the hippie commie sympathizers had not yet seized full control of colleges and universities; Bill Ayers was still out doing his bombing ops of which he regrets he “didn’t do enough.” He hadn’t become a revered educator now celebrated by proggies.
Like Twain, I never let school stand in the way of my education. I always found life getting in the way of college, I finally completed college when half of my life was behind me. I had a lot of fun during the two years it took me to complete my BA, wink-wink, nudge-nudge, know what I mean? I also worked hard and did well. The economy forced me to get a degree, and even though I had fun I was a serious student. My average class load was 20 quarter hours per quarter. It was fun and a great break from adult life.
I’m a proud holder of a HS diploma (nearly the bottom of my class) from a school in West Potato, Idaho. Got an advanced degree from the school of hard knocks. I firmly believe I have a better education than most college graduates. And zero college debt. I’m a happy resident of the basket of deplorables.
Dude, I got a double doctorate at the Southwest Asia School of Warfare (Urban Warfare School of Boom); one in Reflective Belt Theory and one in Administrative Game Theory.

I’m a graduate of the University of Mosul myself.
I majored in Applied Chemistry at the University of Subic City.
And minored in International Relations.
I went to a college for the first three years of my “education” which had a bus which ran between the uptown and downtown campi.
Got on one day and the driver was ranting about how he was a grad of the “School of Hard Knocks”, school colors black and blue!
I imagine (don’t remember) he was “edumacating” one of the idiot students who thought he was better than the driver.
I thought it was hilarious.
Yeah well I got an ARCOM. Framed.
I went to college on the GI Bill after six years in the Airborne with one tour in Vietnam. A very atypical philosophy professor, who was a semi-pro boxer, used a balloon to teach the relationship between knowledge and ignorance: Knowledge is the air blown into the balloon and ignorance is everything outside. When you blow into the balloon you expand the outside surface, encountering a constantly expanding amount of ignorance. In other words, all education is just a means of teaching you how much you truly don’t know.
That lesson always stuck with me, causing me to remind myself periodically that no matter how smart I might think myself, there was always an exponentially greater amount of knowledge that I would never know. It’s a valuable lesson in humility for over-educated smart-asses.

Hilarious movie — and somewhat scary, in that seeing how education is going, such a fate is not totally impossible.
I was a teacher (public and private schools) for 26 years … and I could see the progressive bullshit a mile away. I managed to keep my job while steering as clear of it as I could, for as long as I could. My pursuit of a doctoral degree did me in, however, because the system couldn’t afford to pay me at that level (or so they implied).
I got a waiver at 16 to get a GED and join the military and ended up in the Marine Corps as an 0351 grunt. My family are academics and they disowned me for my lifestyle (33 years on with 24 years active duty I retired as a Captain….still just rocking the GED ) and now in thier 80s they still will have nothing to do with me or my wife and they will die never having come to terms with my choices in life. That is the type of brain washed mind warp that so called progressives offer.
My wife also only had a GED but got an accounting degree in her 30s and I am in the last 2 semesters towards fininshing a BA in History courtesy of the Post 9/11 GI Bill just because it was my personal goal to finish a degree. Academics feel superior but in my experience they are generally far less tolerant and giving than us dumbasses with a GED.

I was 21 when I signed up. My mother threatened to disown me. I told her to put it in writing. My father said he thought it was a good idea. Later, he said he was proud of me.
