Friday morning feel good stories
From San Antonio, Texas;
A suspected robber is believed to have been shot in the face during an East Side stickup, police said.
It’s unclear who or what the suspect robbed, but when police found him just before midnight in the 100 block of Rambling Drive, officers found cash on the ground all around him.
He was also suffering from a gunshot wound to his cheek and ear, leading police to believe someone retaliated against the suspected robber.
Police said the suspect was uncooperative with authorities and eventually taken to Brooke Army Medical Center for treatment.

“…officers found cash on the ground all around him.”
Does this bozo not have pockets in his pants? Was he even wearing pants? Durnburnit, if you’re gonna rob someone, at least put the money some place out of sight.
What a nitwit.
Who shoots a robber and then let’s him keep their cash?
The shooter practiced Four Esses #2 Shoot and #4 Silence. Nice start.
Weird. Maybe a drug deal gone sideways.
My comment isn’t about the above incident but is a delayed comment about my screwed up description yesterday about how the 5.56 Rd travels on the anti 2nd A Ms. Margaritta’s post. Well, around 2AM, this morning as I was awoken by my post nasal drip sitting on my recliner, the word YAWS popped into my head. That is what the bullet does in it’s travel down range. Thankyou and will see you later alligator.
I thought “yaws” was what a mule skinner said after he said “yee”? 😉
Jeff,
As an Anesthesiologist of 30 years I have seen a lot of rifle wounds of every common caliber.
While the 5.56 does yaw in tissue and this does contribute to wounding, the main mechanism of injury (with fmj ammo) is fragmentation.
Thanks Doc for the info. Yesterday’s comments were on the bullet spin, tumbling etc so I got a little carried away with trying to explain the “YAW” which was the word that I could not think of until as my earlier comment mentioned, it hit me around 2AM. I read an article explaining the yaw in one of my magazines possibly American Rifleman but I do not remember. People think of tumbling as end over end.
