From Vicksburg, Mississippi;

A Vicksburg man was killed Saturday night while participating an apparent attempted home invasion at a house in the 3100 block of Valley Street, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.

Deangelo Eli Fields, 21, was declared dead at the scene by deputy Warren County coroner Kelda Bailess. His body was sent to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for an autopsy.

Edwards said police responding to a call of a possible home invasion about 10 p.m. Saturday arrived to find Fields lying in the street with a gunshot wound. The homeowner said several men were trying to break into his house when Fields was shot.

From Evansville, Indiana;

One man is dead after a homeowner shot back during an attempted home invasion robbery in Evansville.

“I was sitting in my car minding my own business,” said next door neighbor Sayda Bushrod.

Coker, a usually quiet street, became the scene of a fatal shooting Saturday after 46-year-old Eric Thomas came armed to a home just before noon.

“Then out of the blue it scared me half to death these girls were screaming bloody murder across the street,” said Bushrod.

“When the homeowner came to the door he was armed with a handgun, during the encounter he felt threatened for himself and his wife and juvenile daughter,” said EPD Sgt. Jason Cullum.

According to Evansville Police, the homeowner and Thomas knew each other, but it’s not confirmed how.

“There was some type of exchange between him and the alleged home invasion robbery suspect there was an exchange of gunfire,” said Sgt. Cullum.

Police arrived on scene and believe Thomas was attempting a home invasion robbery.

He was shot multiple times by the homeowner and taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

From Salt Lake City, Utah;

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is praising an Iraq War veteran for his role in apprehending a suspect and helping a trooper who was in danger of being shot.

Trucker Darren Phillips of Taylorsville, Utah, pulled over after seeing an altercation between a trooper and a suspect Thursday near Green River, Wyoming, about 140 miles northeast of Salt Lake City.

“I put my brakes on, and I jump out. And by this time, the trooper is on his back and the guy is on top of him,” Phillips told KSL-TV, Salt Lake City. “The trooper saw me running over and as soon as I got up to him, he says, ‘He’s going for my gun.’ ”

Phillips put the suspect in a chokehold. A Facebook post from the TV station quotes Phillips: It was the “craziest thing” he’s ever done despite serving two tours in Iraq.

Phillips said his training in the Marines and Army National Guard helped him subdue the man and pull him off the trooper.

Great work Mr. Phillips!

Attempt a home invasion and get yourself shot DEAD! That is the way that all attempted home invasions should end. And, in another story, another instance of a veteran who is now a truck driver, coming to the aid of a police officer.

Ah, good morning. 2 and a half down and the other half to go. The Wyoming dope will end up in the coroner’s storage room some day.

BZ, Mr. Phillips!

One DRT, one DOT, and a chokehold. A good day, indeed.
And the world is a more peaceful place………now.

What a great Monday! I just love all these DRT and DOT. When will these fools learn? You just never know which one of us will be armed with a nice 45 or like me an AK-47 With my very sharp bayonet!!!Ex I am surprised you didn’t jump on that sentence structure in the above story, where is that 14 inch ruler? I would rap them with the sharp side right on top of the knuckles! I have only two more weeks of being confined to my bed! I can’t wait to be able to get out of this bed!! I have been here for about 4 weeks already! I can’t wait to take my dear wife out to dinner! She is ready to kill me having to wait on my all the time. She is really an angel!

Take care all,

Wilted Willy

Good luck, and heal quickly. Hopefully your willy isn’t wilted by the time you roll out of bed.

NOT BAD, two less goblins that will have to be fed, clothed and housed at taxpayer expense and I’m sure the third will end up getting himself whacked sooner or later!
