Russell Jeffers; phony POW
Someone sent us their work on this Fellow, Russell Jeffers from Bountiful, Utah. He has authored a self-help book Bricks of Trials. He claims that he had been a POW when he was captured during a secret mission to North Korea. He awarded himself a POW Medal as well as a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, a Meritorious Service Medal and his highest award, the Soldiers Medal with a “Valor” device.
He also flaunts Iraq and Afghanistan campaign medals as well as a Combat Field Medical Badge.
He was in the Army for six years as a 91D operating room medic, including a tour at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. No overseas assignments, no combat deployments to either Iraq or Afghanistan. There is no “Valor” device for a Soldiers Medal. It’s a valor medal all by itself – he doesn’t have the Soldiers Medal, anyway. He was never a POW. He left the Army as a specialist (E-4) not a Sergeant (E-5).

Just another rancid cherry on top of the shit sundae! All that is lacking is him being a resident of Florida instead of Utah! I would be happy to drop him off in country and see if he could find his way home?? Fuck this Cocksucker!
He managed a combat jump while at Bragg, also.
You ever been to Fayettenam? Totally believable. /s
If you blow up the pic of his rack, it looks like he is sporting two mustard stains on his fake master-blaster badge.
The LZ at Mcall can be rough.
If you blow up the pic of his rack, he is sporting two mustard stains on his fake master-blaster badge.
If you blow up the pic of his rack, it looks like he is sporting two mustard stains on his fake master-blaster badge.
And the infamous 91D blue cord.
don’t overlook the “V” on the Valorous Unit Award….that is just special.
And I mean that with all of the window pane licking, urinal cake eating, short bust riding, booger slurping, full potato meaning.
what a maroon.
An empty suit. How very appropriate. Got a kick out of the vanity book’s synopsis. It begins, “We all have trials in out lives.” Let’s hope his is at Federal district court.
I prevailed in a small claims case the other day, the first in my life. My claim was for $2,300. The defendant filed a counterclaim which I opposed. The judge awarded them nothing. I can only speculate that you might have been proud of me had you witnessed my performance.
Congratulations! Feels great walking out of court with a judgement. The hard part is collecting. We tap the till if their business or garnish their wages from employment. .
Small claims court is usually a laugh riot to watch. Really, they ought to serve beer and peanuts. You were probably ahead of the game right from the start, which means you dressed respectfully, conducted yourself respectfully, and were prepared to succinctly state and evidence your claim. Congrats!
now, I may be a bit fuzzy here, but is that the obsolete silver lifesaving medal behind the AAM? love the ladder to heaven, and the valor device on the unit award. never heard of an e5 with a DMSM, either. that’s all some pretty ninja shit right there.
How about the Bronze Star on the Civilian Award for Humanitarian Service, or the Basic Military Training Honor Graduate (Air Force) with Oak Leaf Cluster. Did he go to basic twice?
It’s definitely a Silver Lifesaving Medal, however it’s not an obsolete award. Both the Gold and Silver Lifesaving Medals are still awarded, although active military are usually awarded the Navy/Marine Corps Medal, Soldier’s Medal, Airman’s Medal or Coast Guard Medal instead.
thanks – I thought that was an old obsolete medal gone the way of the brevet medals.
@J.R.: you talking about the humanitarian service (aka knife hand) medal? I believe little bronze service stars are the secondary award devices. perhaps he go that on each of his weirdo air force honor graduations.
That is an Air Force Basic Training Honor Graduate ribbon; I have never seen one with an oak leaf cluster. I’d guess he did so well at AF basic training they had him go through a second time to set an example for the others.
*sigh*
Its nothing a good donkey punch shouldn’t be able to fix.
Russell Jeffers, there is nothing menial about anything in the Medical Corp, or any other Service and Field….but you just shit on what would have otherwise been a term of service to be proud of.
Fuck you, needle dick.
Word
A four rung ladder.
That is just awesome.
What, no CIB?
No glider badge, either. I’m SO disappointed.
Cocksucker!
KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Shack!
Request immediate re-attack (please see my post below).
Cocksucker!
Cocksucker!
Cocksucker!
Cocksucker!
Whoa!
Danger Alert!!
Clear the bridge!!! Dive! Dive!! Dive!!!
What’s with these poser shitheads always wanting to falsely claim that they were POWs? It’s unfathomable.
My great uncle was a POW in WW2, and I’m acquainted with several of the POWs from Operation DESERT STORM.
None of them view their capture and subsequent imprisonment as a POW as some kind of highly sought-after, noteworthy achievement in their life that is to be proudly bragged about at every opportunity.
On the contrary, in my discussions with them, they have been unanimous in their insistence that being captured and held as a POW is an experience to be avoided at all costs, and none of them are happy about having been a POW.
This incessant phony POW bullshit is just one more aspect of the Wide Wild World of Poserdom that I’ll never be able to figure out.
Best not to try and figure these shitbirds out.
Safe to say, real POWs are a thousand times the men these posers will ever be.
Is that a weapons qualification badge or a freaking escape ladder?
Rails for the crazy train
Another phony silver lifesaving medal. Surprised clothing sales even has those.
I was just thinking the same thing.
At Ft Huachuca they have third CIBs in the Army’s new operational uniform pattern
The lady at clothing and sales said it’s one of there top sales items
I sent photos to Jonn of the one new ones and others in the past
What’s even more amazing is they have over 300 in stock
That’s probably more then vets who even rate it that are still alive
300! You never know when the next war will start and there’ll be a rush on third star CIBs.
I do remember clothing sales at Leonard Wood had a pile of 4 star collar brass in the clearance bin. I think we only had a 2 star on base. So no wonder they didn’t sell them.
The Ft Huachuca clothing sales store is smack dab in the middle of the Intel School. I can see a high demand for CIB’s of all sizes. Not.
I remember walking into clothing sales at Westover AFB in the early 1990’s and seeing a row of Medal of Honor ribbons on the wall with the rest of the ribbons. They were gone by the next visit.
When I was at Shemya, I asked my good wife to go to Sentry Cleaners (outside the gate at Westover) to get me some fatigues with TSgt stripes sewn on. The clothing sales corner of the one room BX had no TSgt stripes nor fatigues that fit me. They did have a stack of Lt Gen stars, I asked the manager why so many stars when the highest ranked AF in Alaska was a 3-star; she snottily said things do fall off General’s uniforms just as Sgt’s uniforms. If sew on stars are falling off Generals’ uniform, I don’t want to be in the same area code.
Pecker-puffing cockwad.
I thought this Magnificent Fellow was already featured here. Damn, these posers are beginning to run together. Man, this is some serious deja by!
Vu, dammit! Vu!
Auto-correct can sometimes be a real Mother Forklift!
There was a prior post about him. Jonn took it down, apparently because there was some uncertainty about his level of fakery. His DD214 removes any doubt.
I remember now. Thanks. I thought I was losing it there for a minute.
Soldier’s Medal…with a “V” device!
Please. You phony fuckers need to use Google of something to find out what proper Award criteria is. The Medal IS for valor to begin with and the highest non combat valor award given. Reminds me of the clown wearing the Silver Star with a V Device.
What will we see next, a MoH with a “V” Device? I’m sure it’s only a matter of time!
I’m waiting for an NDSM, HSM, or a campaign medal with a V device…
There was a short time in the mid-2000s or so where the reg was to wear the MoH with a V device for a second award instead of two ribbons.
Obviously it never became an issue since there haven’t been any double recipients in decades, which makes you wonder what lieutenant colonel got his wings for coming up with the change.
Smedley Butler comes to mind, with two MOH’s. Funny that he tried to give it back but was ordered to wear his MOH by President Wilson if i remember correct.
Has silver wings but puts the weapons qual closer to the heart?
I dont get it.
Dudes got problems.
Asshat is wearing one-to-many service stripes too.
Another turd burglar
😂😂😂😂😂
They all wanna be an NCO, but not for real, which comes with the ass-chewing the NCO gets when his men eff-up on something the NCO was to see accomplished. And as we so often see, there is a rope for this dope.
6 years as a Pecker checker and he has to falsly embelish his time in. By the way, is that a genuine Gen. George Custer Indian Scout or the I climbed Pike’s Peak ribbon in my 57 Chevy Belaire among the fruit salad.
Maggot.
Claiming POW status is low.
Pain.
6 years in as a 91E and still an E-4? There’s more to his life than is revealed on a DD-214.
I’m betting you’re right, considering the following:
(1) he had 6+ years active duty, but his DD214 shows no GCMs, and
(2) he wasn’t available to sign his DD214 when he was separated.
His wearing the Soldiers Medal with a V says he wasn’t with it mentally. After 6 years how do you not know a few simple things about decorations?
Maybe his magic undies were way too tight and causing his delusions.
No Expert BayoneTT Badge? Slacker.
In Alaska; Greatly missed TAH while out of interwebz areas.
I love it when they award themselves what I like to call the “Gives ’em away Medal”. That would be the Soldiers Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Medal, Airman’s Medal, and Coast Guard Medal.
They’re all for heroism, but none are for COMBAT related heroism. But this guy just added an additional dumb ass devise to his in the form of a “V”. Gotta love these humble types.
I actually used to work with this guy. He lost his job due to this as well as allegations of sexual harassment. A real creep.
I also used to work with this man in Utah at a private hospital for psychiatric disorders (ironic since it appears he had some psychiatric issues of his own). Anyway, he actually recounted for me (on more then one occasion) how he suffered as a POW in North Korea. I also remember him telling me that he was part of a military “secret” program where he was intentionally deprived of sleep and how he learned to drop into REM within a few seconds of closing his eyes vs. the “gradual” descent through the sleep stages that occurs with most people…freaking hilarious. As mentioned in a previous reply, this guy actually lost his job at the hospital (where he worked as a graveyard supervisor) when his lies about military service were uncovered. I have not heard any news about him since his departure.
