Arthur Jones, the Illinois Nazi

| March 22, 2018

Someone sent us the above picture of Arthur Jones speaking at a Neo-Nazi rally. If you don’t know who Arthur Jones is, he ran unopposed for the Republican primary slot for Illinois Third Congressional District and he has been shunned by the Republican Party, according to the New York Times.

We noticed the Combat Infantryman Badge in the top picture and wondered about his military service. It turns out that he isn’t lying, as much as we’d hoped he was being untruthful. He was in the Army for five years, two years of active duty service, including 12 months in Vietnam with the 4th Infantry Division from October 1969 – September 1970.

“Arthur Jones is not a real Republican — he is a Nazi whose disgusting, bigoted views have no place in our nation’s discourse,” Tim Schneider, the Illinois Republican Party chairman, said in a statement. He said the party had urged voters “to skip over his name when they go to the polls” and moving forward planned on “vehemently opposing Jones with real campaign dollars.”

It’s not likely that Jones will win any election, especially as a Republican in the Chicago District, not to mention his ties to Illinois Nazis.

I HATE Illinois nazis!

It would be nice if the Army could publicly strip every decoration from this asshole.

JacktheJarhead

DAMMIT!!! Beat me to it!!!

The Other Whitey

“His name is Elwood Blues, he’s got a record a mile long, he’s in Chicago—and he’s a CATHOLIC!”

Aggravared Mopery

Very funny and a forgoten line, Whitey

Alberich

It would be nice if the Army could publicly strip every decoration from this asshole.

No, it wouldn’t. The Government has no business stripping any part of an honorable service record from any brand of “political undesirable.” (If the service record itself turns out to have been dishonorable, that’s another story.)

Once you say, “unless they’re Nazis”–you’ve just invited whoever is in power to redefine “Nazi” to include anyone they hate.

OldSoldier54

Sadly, I agree.

After the last administration, everybody and their cousin should be extremely wary of handing even one more iota of power/authority to the Federal government.

Hondo

Same here. Freedom of speech includes speech one finds disgusting or hateful, provided it doesn’t actually incite violence. And freedom of assembly allows bigoted idiots to congregate as well as sane people. Allow the government to regulate either, and we’ll have “hate speech” and “unlawful groups” laws based on the politics du jour pronto.

No thanks. Freedom is often messy and chaotic, but it beats the hell out of any alternative I can imagine.

2/17 Air Cav

I am with that Hondo. The most malodorous views need not be be given an audience but the speaker, in our unique system, can bellow them out all he wants. And that is why prosecuting so-called hate crimes when the evidence is speech is abhorrent and, in essence, anti-American.

OWB

Speech which we do not like is what tests our resolve to protect it. It’s easy when we agree with the speech. Things like what this fellow spews is difficult to tolerate, but still protected.

What too many do not understand is the principle that while you are free to speak, nobody is required to listen.

W2

Can I talk good about Presidents Obama and Clinton on this site without getting attacked? I think not. This nazi and the klan can take their free speech and shove it up their squeakhole. Yeah Cropsmen, squeakhole!

W2

Note, Bourbon talking.

2/17 Air Cav

Sure, W2, bourbon or not, you can talk about those assholes here and elsewhere and that is the very point. By the same token, if you talk about those assholes fondly, we are free to tell you what a horse’s ass you are. Those who would silence you or this clown in the clown uniform need to consider what free speech means to them.

W2

Check. Good answer.

OWB

Please note my earlier statement about no one being required to listen. You don’t get to come into someone else’s house and expect them to listen. You don’t even get to demand a forum in someone else’s house.

This is neither your house nor mine, so when you spew crap, expect me to call it crap and perhaps point and laugh, depending. Wanna crap in the living room? Do it in your own house.

The Other Whitey

Dammit, you do have a good point. I gues you have to take the bad with the good.

Steve

King George said the same about the Victoria Cross:

In 1920 the King wrote a letter to his private secretary, Lord Stamfordham, in which he wrote “The King feels so strongly that, no matter the crime committed by anyone on whom the VC has been conferred, the decoration should not be forfeited. Even were a VC to be sentenced to be hanged for murder, he should be allowed to wear the VC on the scaffold”.

RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

Fuck Illinois Nazis!!!

AMEN!

The Other Whitey

By the way, that was easily one of the greatest scenes ever filmed!

Another one was where Jake and Elwood are in a fancy restaurant trying to rope the head waiter back into the band– by being annoying. Jake turns to the family having dinner at the next table and asks:

“How much for the women?”

Cobrakai99

Unfortunately, this is what happens when the Republicans don’t bother to put a person on the ballot, because “there is no chance they will win.” Some jackass Illinois Nazi can run as something he is not.

UpNorth

Not to mention, Illinois has a partially-open primary, “This system permits voters to cross party lines, but they must either publicly declare their ballot choice or their ballot selection may be regarded as a form of registration with the corresponding party. Illinois and Ohio have this system”. So, likely some dems crossed over to vote for the Nazi. What better way to embarrass the R’s, not that they need much help in that department lately.

Ex-PH2

He’s an idiot.

Old Trooper

Are they any different than the NBPP, Black Lives Matter, or Nation of Islam? 2 sides of the same coin, yet one side is rightfully vilified while the other is praised.

Old Trooper

Also, let’s not forget that a NoI member is already a sitting congressman (Keith Ellison).

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

That’s like you see kids wearing Che, Mao,Stalin tee shirts but the person wearing a Hitler tee is vilified even though Mao, Stalin killed more of their peeps than Hitler. Actually I never have seen Hitler tee’s but when a conversation comes up at the pool, It’s the same as the tee shirt vilification.

FuzeVT

I saw a hitler shirt in Pattaya, Thailand.

I thought it appropriate that it had the Obama slogan on it as they both seemed to love to use the government to silence opposition.

Notice it was hanging next to the che shirt. Don’t remember who was to the other side.

OWB

Have long said that when you get to the extremes on the political continuum that the line wraps around and joins behind the line – that point is the land of serious crazy and loony tunes. It doesn’t matter at all which type of politics they claim, they are all supporting chaos, indiscriminate destruction, ignorance of the US Constitution, abuse of well meaning people, and all sorts of other nonsense. Both extremes encourage folks to feel helpless and hopeless. Without that, they would have no support.

W2

My dead Uncle would disagree. He would say “this nazi can go to hell”.

2/17 Air Cav

I don’t have a problem with clowns like A. Jones. I’d rather he stand right up front with his silly uniform and state, as he has done many times, that the Holocaust is a lie, that it never happened. Of course, the pictures of the American troops liberating death camps were all fake and those who were there, liars. In other words, Jones wears his idiocy openly, for all the world to see. I’d rather that than a racist and bigot who pretends he is neither.

The Other Whitey

Maybe it’s the influence of my WWII-vet Grandpa and Great-Uncles talking, but to my way of thinking, any American who embraces nazi ideology is a traitor and should be dealt with accordingly. But I don’t make the rules, so…

2/17 Air Cav

My father fought the Germans in WWII. 5th Army. North Africa and Italy. He was my life’s greatest influence. Half my heart left when he died. If I thought for a second that my words expressed above would be repugnant to him, well, I would not have written them.

OWB

Should we ever find ourselves in the same room, we need to compare notes re our fathers and the 5th Army.

Combat Historian

He doesn’t look like a 4th ID guy, more like a rottenfuhrer from the 4th SS Polizei Division rounding up Jews in Greece in 1944…

Sapper3307

If Obama had another half brother!

Veritas Omnia Vincit

This is what makes party politics interesting in this country…there is no formal membership routine, one simply states one is either a Democrat or a Republican or neither as is my case and that’s it. Nothing to sign, no meetings, no dues, just your claim.

Which makes him a lot like a lot of other Republicans from what I can see.

Meaning there aren’t that many “true” Republicans left. Big government Republicans and corporatist Democrats are essentially the same kind of politician. Republicans lately seem to love them some totalitarian sized intrusive government to monitor and control every aspect of their subjects’ lives…and the Democrats were already on board with that so now what we’re left with is both sides claiming not to be the other side while doing exactly the same shit when elected.

I still laugh at people trying to tell me that Obama was a progressive…if so the worst progressive in history.

Anyway, fuck this Nazi prick I hope he gets what he deserves for spouting this horseshit in public…

A Proud Infidel®™

I hope he absentmindedly stumbles into a Black Panther gathering while he’s in that clown suit!

Roh-Dog

Chapelle’s reign ended the modern era of racism.

The Other Whitey

Unfortunately, Chapelle started being pretty racist after the show ended, from what I hear. Sad.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

I always like Forrest Gump’s line…”Sorry I had a fight in the middle of your Black Panther Party”

Skyjumper

This idiot was in the 4th Inf Div in the Viet of the Nam almost the exact same time I was there. I was with Company A, 2d Battalion, 35th Infantry (Cacti Blue) Oct. 1969- Oct. 1970.

I checked out the 1/12th web page, but he wasn’t listed. But, I found it interesting that a white supremacist once served with a unit called the
“Red Warriors”.

http://redwarriors.us/

rgr769

When I first looked at his assignments page, I thought he was in my company in the 4th ID, but then I saw he was in 1st Bn, whereas I was in Co.C,3rd Bn/12th Infantry. We had some racists in my battalion–black racists. They were assigned to HHC,3/12th, awaiting court martial or other disciplinary actions, mostly for refusal to deploy to the field with their assigned units. There was a whole barracks full of them in the Division base camp in An Khe.

rgr769

Skyjumper, I was with the 4th ID from June 1970 until December 8, 1970 when the Division was deactivated. My company was the last US infantry company to leave An Khe base camp.

Claw

Just as a side note, the 12th was the only Infantry Regiment to deploy five full Battalions to Viet Nam.

rgr769

I didn’t know that. I think we only had the 1st and 3rd battalions in the 4th ID. I earned my CIB in C Co, 3/12th.

Atkron

At least he’s got the nuts to show people that he’s a racist anti-Semite. I can respect that much…not his views, but at least being open about it.
It is the assholes that are hiding their views that you have to worry about.

1st Amendment protections even apply to this dickhead.

Oh…BTW Arthur Jones GFY..in the ass…with a Saguaro Cactus.

Roh-Dog

“1st Amendment protections even apply to this dickhead.”
…for now. According to our lefty friends ‘hate speech isn’t free speech’.
Look to Scotland convicting Count Dankula for an example of where we might be heading.
(Back story: Dankula taught his girlfriend’s pug to throw a Nazi salute as a jab to her, thought is was funny and posted a vid of it. Laughs were had…)

Fuck this guy in the ear with a frozen trout.

Roh-Dog

Republican Nazi… is that like a football bat?
This guy is a white nationalist, period full stop.
Screw him, the Nazis, (insert race) nationalist of any stripe. I have no tolerance for bigotry or bias.
That being said, it’s a sad commentary on today’s society that we have to say these things (just like affirmation of lives mattering).
Love live the Republic.

Roh-Dog

*Long live the Republic.

HMC Ret

If someone needs another to validate that their life matters, I believe the answer lies in the question. Don’t look to me for your validation. My life matters b/c I say it does, based on my contribution to the well being of others and the country. If you have done nothing for others, your country or yourself, well, maybe your life isn’t worth shit.

Roh-Dog

Maybe that’s the validation that they seek, that their lives haven’t been ‘worth shit’, which ultimately is a them-problem. Acknowledgment of someone’s pain doesn’t have any practical use other than maybe, just maybe, humanizing(?) the one in pain.
The big question that comes next, what to do with a group that is looking for a ‘there, there’.
Society at large is being vilified for telling them to rub sum dirt on it, git back in the game. That’s the crap I can’t abide.

J.R.

“I still laugh at people trying to tell me that Obama was a progressive…if so the worst progressive in history”

Would you mind explaining what you mean? Not trying to start any shit storms, just genuinely interested in your viewpoint

SFC D

Under Obama, there was no progress. Only race-baiting.

Roh-Dog

He progressive-ly; consolidated the powers of the federal government ex-Constitutionally, spied on US citizens, allowed his SoS to operate an unsecured server, weaponized the IRS, oh, progressive-ly hand-rung while Russia violated the sovereignty of a neighboring country. I’m going to get some poweraid so I don’t get a cramp.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

He was a corporatist who maintained virtually every Bush policy he claimed he was against.

Under his 8 years folks like me in the top income tiers did well (I’m grateful for that) in gaining wealth while the middle class stayed neutral and the lower income classes lost wealth…Those are not the actions of a progressive they are the actions of a centrist corporatist beholden to the very wall street he pretended to be protecting the nation from at various times.

He wanted to rule by edict not consensus and consequently used the Executive Order for things even he admitted weren’t appropriate for EOs. He bombed a bunch of nations we weren’t at war with and used drones to kill entire families in the hopes of getting a single specific terrorist. These are not the actions of a lefty progressive no matter what Democrats or Republicans would like to think.

lily

He’s on FBI payroll, isn’t that obvious? No one gets that public with that type of thing without being FBI.

W2

Ummm, you haven’t been paying attention. To the antifa / wing nut rallies have you? “Blood and soil” and “Jews will not replace us” are pretty openly nazi. That dickhead Richard Spencer throwing up the nazi salute is pretty nazi? All that shit happened on the nightly news. For some reason, these assholes think it’s OK to crawl out from under their rocks. American nazi’s aren’t Americans. A whole lot of WWII vets have got to be rolling in their graves.

Hondo

It appears that lily’s trolling again, W2. Suggest everyone ignore her.

A Proud Infidel®™

I concur. I say we ignore him like one does an obnoxious stray dog until he goes away.

Meanwhile plenty of supposed legit democratic politicians routinely associate with people that essentially spout the same ideology and suffer zero consequences of it.

Just something to consider when the outrage wagon is brought out for display when there is a mainstream political party that openly accepts the same type of ideas.

Hack Stone

Just look to the DC council, Ward 8 in particular.

UpNorth

Also, look at the representative from Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District.

Watching Dems tie themselves into knots over association with Farrakan, one if the worst racists in America, is entertaining

Jonp

If the IL Republican Party was so outraged by this clown they should have run somebody. Hell, if i lived in that district I’d have put my name on the ballot.
Still, be a hoot for him to win and see him and Ellison go at it. 2 shitheads beating each other up
