From Pike County, Indiana;

Troopers say a 911 call came in late Sunday night from a home on North 10th Street in Petersburg.

They say 46-year-old Brian White was shot and killed.

Troopers say he had been an a physical confrontation with his wife and reached for a gun.

After a brief struggle, they say she was able to take control of the gun and shoot her husband in self-defense.

Troopers say she ran to another nearby house for help.

From Auburn, Georgia;

The homeowner approached a stranger [Corey Heard, 36] he saw entering his 2014 Ford Pickup. The suspect allegedly approached the victim in a threatening manner and the homeowner told him to stop several times.

Authorities said the victim fired warning shots and the suspect continued to approach him.

“The victim ordered the suspect to stop several times, fired warning shots and the suspect continued to come towards him,” Capt. Lorenza Dorsey said. “The victim eventually fired in the direction of the suspect striking him in the foot after which the suspect retreated.”

In separate unrelated incident, Heard was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl who was kidnapped by a group of men after running away from a youth development center in October.

From London, Ohio;

London Police said two men broke into an apartment on Lamplight Court around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Once inside the apartment, police say gunfire was exchanged between the two suspects and residents. The gunfire continued outside the apartment.

Police say the shootings left one resident dead and another injured. William Benson, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another resident, 28-year-old Zachary Edmond was transported to Ohio State Unversity Wexner Medical Center. His injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.

One of the suspects was also killed in the gunfire. Police identified that person as 24-year-old Justin G. Coffey.

From Maplewood, Minnesota;

Officers were called to a report of a robbery around 7:45 p.m. at Princess Liquors in Maplewood. According to Maplewood Police, two suspects were holding up the store and began to assault one of the employees. Another employee confronted the suspects and fired a gun, striking one of them.

Both suspects fled the store, but police located one of them a short distance away with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Regions Hospital, where he later died.

In Little Rock, Arkansas;

[North Little Rock police spokesman Sgt. Brian] Dedrick said it appears that the robber and his victim got into a tussle over a gun near the intersection of East 14th and Pine streets. The gun went off during the altercation, he said, fatally hitting the robber, who then ran and was found almost a block away. The man shot was not taken to a hospital, he said.

Dedrick said it is unclear whom the gun belonged to, and he didn’t identify the people involved in the shooting.

He reported Monday night that police were talking to several witnesses. Dedrick said the robbery victim was not hurt and police would be talking to him.

From Memphis, Tennessee;

Local 24 News on the scene Monday night at Sing Lay restaurant on 2684 Frayser Boulevard, near Range Line Road.

Memphis police say the employee shot and killed the suspect during an attempted robbery.

Investigators said Tuesday morning that the employee shot in self-defense, and no criminal charges would be filed.

From Wooster, Ohio;

Police say the resident of the home where the shooting happened is in the process of moving out and hadn’t been there in several days. The resident’s fiance went the the home to get some of her items when he noticed a male intruder.

After the two exchanged words, police say the intruder grabbed a bottle and attacked the fiance.

While being struck with the bottle, the fiance pulled a gun from his waistband and shot the intruder, who then fled the scene.

Police say there was evidence that the intruder had been squatting in the home for several days.

After a search of the area, the intruder was found and taken to the hospital for gunshot wounds to the hands and abdomen. His condition is not known.

From Youngstown, Ohio;

A 56-year-old woman inside a West Side home Monday scared off a burglar by pulling a gun on him hidden under her pillow.

Officers were called about 9:35 a.m. to the 1600 block of Mayfield Avenue, where the woman’s 75-year-old husband was in a recliner downstairs when a man wearing a mask appeared in his living room with a handgun.

The intruder went upstairs after he heard a cough, reports said, and pointed the gun at the woman’s face while she was still in bed. She then got her gun and the burglar ran away. He fired a shot at the woman but missed. Police did find a 9 mm shell casing inside the home. Reports said the woman told police she thinks the intruder came through a dog door in the home.

After extensive study, it can now be reported that good guys with guns increases the odds of neutralizing a threat from bad guys. Lots of data was analyzed. Many volunteers participated.

Peer review is expected to sustain the findings. But the media will likely continue to confuse victims of crime with criminals and be slow to report the frequent superior survivability an individual has when willing to act like he or she has an instinct for self-protection.

More and more people are seeing the value in being legally armed to protect themselves, and their families against the thugs, druggies, and users of today. Plenty of dead, wounded and scared shitless punks.

That Georgia boy needed to go Center Mass on Corey Heard, but unfortunately he didn’t know that Corey Heard had raped a 13-year-old girl.

In other news, we had a bank robbery in our little town yesterday, but they caught the perp within two hours. One thing about small towns – someone knows your face, and where you live.

That’s a lot going on for a Wed. morning. No comment. I think I went out too early from my upper respiritory infection which was not the flu, so yesterday, the temp went up a little, so I am self restricting myself to my place along with my Sister who also has the same thing.
