White House Communications Agency NCOs punished
Stars & Stripes reports that Army and Air Force NCOs of the White House Communications Agency were punished for bringing local women into a secure area without registering them prior to Vice President Pence’ visit to Panama last year;
The Army elected to issue general officer memorandums of reprimand to the three soldiers involved, said Adrienne Combs, an Army spokeswoman. The reprimands will not have an immediate impact on the soldiers’ careers, but can affect their chances of promotion, re-enlistment or retirement, she said.
The Air Force also administratively punished at least one airman who was involved, said Ann Stefanek, a service spokeswoman. She did not say what the discipline included.
They were all sent back to the US before the Vice President arrived in Panama while the incident was investigated.
There’s another investigation that is ongoing of a similar incident in Vietnam last year.
In Panama, there are these things called “Push Buttons” which are rooms for rent by the hour – you don’t need to take women to secure areas for your antics.
There is not a chance in hell I would ‘be’ with a woman who was indiscriminate and would be with anyone who had the money. I feel greatly for such women, for they never woke one morning and decided to earn their living by prostitution. Most (?)/Many become prostitutes b/c they ‘experimented’ with drugs. I volunteer some with folks hooked on drugs and one thing they mostly agree on is that they were hooked the first time they ‘experimented’ with drugs and there was no escape once they started. We’ve got tens of billions to spend on making life easier for illegals, but not enough money to get these folks off their addiction. One of the best drugs today for those hooked on opoids is Suboxone. Many describe it as a wonder drug, virtually eliminating the craving within a few hours. Expensive? Yes, but if we are about helping people, how about we help those who are here legally, like those born here who made a mistake and find themselves hopelessly hooked. Jeez, this stuff pisses me off. I know it may be easy to blame these folks, b/c they made the decision, but how about we give them a do-over, spend money on them, get them off the streets and out of motel rooms rented by the hour? Just saying. Off soapbox. For now.
This is a great response, my company is not far from a clinic that deals the daily dose for those who might not even be responsible enough just yet to be trusted with doses at home…so they come each day to receive this medication and it works wonders for many of them.
In speaking with the director at the clinic I was impressed at how much this benefits people who previously were almost untreatable.
Instead of illegals, and a never ending war without any aim in the middle east, taking care of citizens might not be a bad plan.
“… they come each day to receive this medication…”
What is the point of substituting one addiction for another?
HMC Ret – with you 100% on this.
Who of us hasn’t made a mistake as a kid, teenager, or young adult still trying to figure stuff out? The foolishness of middle-school, high-school, and early-college students is legendary.
Some 13, 14 y.o. tries a bit of dope to fit in with the “cool kids” (or whatever they call themselves today), gets hooked, and is damaged for life.
For me it was a beer down in the river at YMCA Boys Camp – and as a hot, cheep, beer it turned me off. I was lucky.
One of my friends’ daughter tried something to fit in with the HS soccer team, and she’s messed up still. There, but for the grace of God, go I.
If by “dope” you mean marijuana, it’s not addictive.
“it’s not addictive.”
According to NIH about 30% of MJ users possess a MJ use disorder, and voluntary seeking of treatment is rising. MJ is the number one reason to enter drug rehab in Europe.
DSM-V DX’s such as MJ induced Hypomotivational Disorder are on the rise and recent papers published in journals such as Nature have shown a common dopaminergic link to the nucleus accumbens, prevalent in other addictions is also present in MJ use.
That’s what you get for believing your dealer.
That is not accurate, at all.
There is some physical addiction, but mostly psycho/emotional addiction, depending on individual health, physiology, dosage frequency, THC concentration over time, puberty, etc.
Heavy, prolonged use is a NOGO for the Endocrine system, particularly the male physiology.
Is marijuana addictive like Horse?
No. It is much more subtle. IMO, this makes it at least as dangerous as Horse, OxyContin, etc, because one believes one is safe from “addiction.”
Then, the body’s ability to adapt kicks in and THC tolerance begins. Over time, to get the same “high,” more and/or stronger pot is required.
Somewhere along the line, physical/psychological/emotional addiction begins.
Then, you’re hosed.
yeh right! just destroys brain cells and memory!!
Idiots. Absolute idiots.
Another outbreak of Secret Service Syndrome…
Sure, we need to take women to secure areas for antics…but who wants to die of boredom.
I was once in a hot air balloon over Niagara Falls with a Soviet. Some of us can multitask, I was able to keep our National border secure and a firm grasp on the Soviet at the same time.
I realize some of you don’t think having a wiener is a good thing, they are not all equal…performance varies.
If you have never been waken up by a woman skreeching Spanish and throwing a plate of Carimanolas at you…get out more often.
I can’t speak to Latinas tossing food around, but I have to admit to slipping out unannounced on a couple of middle aged suburban housewives…
Also I can’t speak to hot air balloons, but a sailboat heeled over about 15 degrees can get entertaining with the right partner!
Ahhhh…always reef the main when your playing with a wave.
What is “ cariminolas”?
Wiki is your friend.
“Carimañola is a Panamanian cuisine meat-pie in a torpedo-shaped yuca fritter, stuffed with cheese, seasoned ground meat or shredded chicken, and fried.”
Sounds pretty damn good!
They are breakfast in a high dollar Panamanian whore house, not that I can confirm or deny such a thing ever existed.
This is what happens when the Army and Air Force try to play Navy.
😉
Jonn, what was the name of that famous cat house on 4th of July Avenue? Big place right on the corner. I used to get good waitresses from them when they became with child. Brought the girls in from Columbia, not that you or I would have any fist hand knowledge of course. Wonder why they ruined their careers with takeout when there were plenty of play spots downtown.
You are talking about the Ancon Inn “home of the working girl”
That was the place. If I recall it was a large house on a corner, may have been red. The club driver pointed it out to me when we had to take that street to avoid an announced spontaneous demonstration.
Yes it was red they had a twice a nite raffle. U got 2 tickets upon entry. 1 was for a beer the other for the raffle. 8&11 for a girl. B company 1/187 info had them as sponsor for their ball team till th CG wife found out.
Field Grade and General Officer Wives, ain’t they just barrels of fun? On one Stateside Post I served during my AD days, it was said the CG’s Wife told her husband she wanted to have a blue MP Light Rack atop her POV so she could pull people over as she saw fit.
Really? LOL. That was after my time there. I was in the move from Davis to Clayton. [after 4/10 changed to 1/187] Jimmy the shoe black was in Co. C and would be there with his book on payday. Our 1SG Yznaga knew him from the ’60’s !
You could buy a fried chicken meal and take an off duty working girl to a hotel from the NCO club/1-2-3 Club.
Talk about no self control …
Men…little head…big head…
And many have only enough blood in their bodies to run one at a time, thus the little one overrides the other.
Really, seriously, I expected more and better of all of you. You should all be ashamed… if you can’t tell better stories about that neon sign on a hotel on the coast announcing “7 Floors of Whores” and what it meant to you, you are a bunch of wimps.
According to one sailor I knew, he not only used it as an inspiration to get crocked and enjoy local native hospitality, when he came back to his ship he was able to stay in that condition by drinking cold water.
Not that I can confirm any of his statements for historical accuracy, mind you.
