Wednesday morning feel good stories
From Houston, Texas;
A woman shot and killed a would-be burglar early New Year’s Day after the man allegedly broke into her apartment while she was sleeping, Houston police said.
The woman awoke in her bedroom at the Mirabella Apartment to the sound of broken glass, according to the Houston Police Department. She looked up, and a man was standing in her bedroom, she told police.
He came toward her bed, and that’s when police say she grabbed the pistol she kept near her and fatally shot him.
She had told the police she had seen the man walking around the apartment complex before.
From Mayfield Heights, Ohio, crooks should be careful of who they call their frineds;
Just after 7 p.m. on Dec. 22, police received a 911 call from a resident on the 1300 block of Ranchland Drive who said he had just returned home and found his house broken into and a body inside.
The body was identified as 17-year-old Phillip Moore of Euclid.
The resident also reported his laptop computer missing from the home.
On Dec. 30, Mayfield Heights police arrested 19-year-old Dewayne Gatson in connection with the death of the 17-year-old.
According to authorities, Gatson and Moore had planned to break into the home on Ranchland Drive together. Sometime during the burglary, Gatson pulled a gun on his cohort and shot Moore 15 times.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
Gatson has been charged with murder.

Claw…please tell me we have a qualifier for the first X4 DRT multiplier ?!
Why, Yes, Yes we do.
Surprisingly enough, both Phillip Moore and Dewayne Gatson score an 84 based on the all new TAH Name Scrabble (Home Version)®™ multiplier of four by pulling a DAM(Dumb Ass Move) during the execution of a crime.
Mea Culpa for being late to morning formation. Got a little sidetracked.
Aren’t we still on half days?
Does “half wit” work for you?
(Describing my current state, not yours.)
What a great day! 3 DRT’s! Great work people!
Sort of starting the year off with a bang!
Gatson & Moore. Nope, not Butch & Sundance, not the James Gang, not even Bonnie & Clyde.
(Sigh) Kids today… must have been squabbling over who would get what and how much before they even left with the “take”.
And how did Gatson shoot Moore 15 times in a row? Did he have one of those high-capacity magazine thingies? I thought they were forbidden fruit or something.
15 TIMES?! Jeez, he had to reload. I’m not complaining, just making an observation.
3 DRT. A good day against the forces of evil.
Anything worth shooting is worth a mag dump?
or…
Shoot it like ya stole it!
I believe that it was Louis L’Amour who said “The problem with being an outlaw is the company you have to keep.”
Phillip Moore found this out the hard way. Some mistakes you only get to make one time.
Fifteen shots? There’s kill, and then there’s overkill.
To modify one of my favorite Tombstone tombstones,
“Here lies Phillip Moore
Fifteen shots from a 44
No Phil, no Moore”
Not quite the same impact as the original, but you work with what you got.
Yeh , except that was ”
Here lies Les Moore,
4 slugs from a .44
No Les, No Moore!
Three DRTs….
“And the world is a more peaceful place……now”
