Terrill Welge; phony Green Beret

| November 23, 2017

Our partners at Guardians of the Green Beret share their work on this fellow Terrill Welge who claimed to be a sniper at 10th Special Forces Group and a Purple Heart recipient;

Yeah, he was a 13D Artilleryman who sniped at the enemy with 155mm artillery rounds. He did tours in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan, he earned a Combat Action Badge, but no Purple Heart, no Special Forces training;

Nothing like reading about a phony while eating my waffles & sausage and downing some Folgers, no sugar lots a cream.

“I didn’t claim it anyone. It happened to be on Facebook page” Really? FB put it there? Zuckerberg? The Russians?

Putting there so anybody can see it is was worse than just BS-ing around the bar. I’m sure you got accolades on FB for all your tough mission, right? Fuck you POSer. You shit all over honorable service.

MSG Eric

Damn Russians, they’ll just try to ruin anything. Though if this guy professed voting for Trump, Zuckerberg could’ve been the one to do it! Yeah, that’s it! Zuckerberg changed his page to screw with him for being a Trump voter!

Bom2motiv

Why would embellish a great army career. These guys fucking kill me

lily

Nice Mola

Mason

I’ll never understand why people will crap all over their honorable service. Most of my (his) generation never gave a thought to military service. He did. Served multiple overseas deployments to all our hotspots. No shame in that.

No shame until he crapped all over his honorable service with these made up stories. Now his service comes with an asterisk and some eternal Google glory.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Wow… decorated for his service while in uniform and decided to go the “sooper seekrit skwirrl special feces warrior anal butt sniper at the ghey bar” route.

Congrats, TERRILL WELGE on shitting all over your service by playing the “Stolen Valor Game”!

COCKSUCKING ASS HAMSTER!

Ret_25X

it is all part of being the man known as the “Terrible Bilge”

Claw

Another one who claims he is “Retired” who was QMP’ed at the 14 1/2 year mark for not being able to go from E-5 to E-6.

I’m sure the “Up or Out” policy was explained to him many times, especially when he got to the seven years time-in-grade mark on E-5.

Claw

Oops, Sorry, DD214 says “Retirement Pin Issued”, so I don’t know what’s going on there, maybe a medical retirement.

Mea Culpa.

USAFRetired

Claw,

I suspect it was TERA Temporary Early Retirement Authority.

MSG Eric

For TERA you have to have a minimum of 15 years Active Federal Service. In his case it is most likely a medical retirement.

Martinjmpr

Early retirement w/ no PH could mean a service-connected but not combat related injury or medical condition.

Could also explain why he never made E-6. If he spent an extended time in the hospital he would likely not have been able to complete the necessary NCOES schools for promotion and wouldn’t have had the opportunity to be boarded for E-6.

Ex-PH2

Idiot! Shame, shame, shame!!

OldManchu

But bro…

NHSparky

Nothing says shitbag like claiming what you didn’t earn, especially when you know better.

Smoke yourself, E-5 Welge.

Combat Historian

“…it just happened to be on my Facebook…”

No doubt placed there by the Special Forces Fairy for being an especially good boy that day for eating his Wheaties…

AnotherPat

Another Personality Disorder individual who does not take responsiblity for his own actions and projects/blames others (this time Facebook) for his own shortcomings. What a weak excuse.

Green Thumb

This dude looks like that other turd, Matthew Beck, down there in Idaho. You know, the clown that had all of the medals tattooed on his body?

What a shitbag.

I wonder if Phildo is their long, lost father?

http://valorguardians.com/blog/?p=30483

Green Thumb

I would also posit that old reach-around-boy here is soaking up the freebies!

Claw

Speaking of Tat-Boy Beck, he was not, I say again, was not present at the barber shop in Rigby yesterday when I got my monthly haircut.

Pussy MFer. He’ll never show up, even though I have offered to buy his haircut when he does.

Green Thumb

Look below.

Dude knows him.

Sgt Fon

a 14+ yr e-5 with 4 combat tours? something don’t fit with this picture. Underachiever RIF’ed or did something else happen that got him booted? this one pisses me off because he was a contemporary and a peer and just kind of pissed over 14 years of his life for no reason. I would have bought him a beer without the embellishment.

CWORet

I suspect Fat-Body is the reason he didn’t make E6.

Chip

13D? He does the tactical data systems thingy. A down and dirty artilleryman is a 13 Bravo. Those are the ones on the the gun line and on the AP teams. I know because I was a 13B.

Former 13D

I don’t know how your unit does it but 13D’s went out with Advance Party. I ought to know as I went out in AP – just in case battalion wants to do a hip shoot. Y’all just jealous cause all you guys do is maintain and shoot the guns for us. Hell, y’all can’t shoot without our permission. 🙂

Chip

Yep. You guys have a important job. No disrespect intended. I think I was just making reference to the 13Bs do the leg work. That’s all.

A Proud Infidel®™

Me? 13F, Forward Observer, we tell everyone where to put it!

Berliner

Couple of things just looking at his DD214:
1) He was not eligible to reenlist based on the Retention Control Point (RCP)changes effective February 1, 2014. The RCP for SGT/SGT(P) was changed to 14 years. They did allow those who’s ETS exceeded the new RCP to remain in the service until their ETS.
2) Because he had not completed 15 years active service he was not eligible for the Early Retirement Program.

I’m waiting for the day when somebody embellishes their service by falsely stating they were a cook.

John L. McCue, MS1 (SS) USN retired

I’m a retired navy Cook and proud of it. Quit it already – pick another rate

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

Floridian?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I would not make any bets with this guy because he would most likely WELGE on the bet if he lost.

Just An Old Dog

As a former Cannon cocker it irks the fuck out of me when fellow Artillerymen art happy with what they did… a single fire mission will end more people than a sniper might get in an entire career. Being part of the team that puts that together is bad ass enough.

Chip

Bingo. That is why I am proud. But this dude was a data type. Not a down and dirty artyman.

11B-Mailclerk

-someone- has to do the data….

Chip

I meant that respectfully. Every job is significant.

Seamus

Two quick comments…
Old Dog, I spent nearly two decades as an infantryman, making fun of you redleg wonders, but in my few short years on sniper teams I DEFINITELY had more effect using a hand mic and the BN Fires net than we did using the 24s or the 110s. Though most of it was using attack aviation, scout weapons teams, and our BN mortars, the couple of times we were actually cleared for the 155s (other than observing H&I fires) definitely made it into the highlight reel from my deployments on my busted up external hard drive lol.

Secondly, I spent almost ten years of my career (2001- November 2010, when the army said go to bliss and I said “aw man, seriously?”) at 2nd BN, 3rd Inf Regt (Patriots!), the same BN as good old Mathew Beck. When I was at HHC in the sniper section he was a douchebag (and fat, to boot) in Bravo Company, running around with an M14 that we were fielding to SDMs in the rifle platoons. Had all kinds of war stories about sniper school and his bad-assery even then, but he would shut his fat gob as soon as anyone who was actually B4 showed up. None of us were surprised when we saw him lit up like a Christmas tree on every stolen valor site on the interwebs. We had a fuck ton of really good dudes in that battalion, and just two (beck, and Bobby Bales, who I considered a close friend) have been pretty successful in maligning the successes 2-3 made, including the battle of Zarqa in 2007.

Yef

So, why couldn’t he make SSG in all that time?

FBS fat boy syndrome?
Got caught with his fingers in the cookie jar?
“The CSM hated me”?
“I am too high speed for this unit. That’s why they keep me down”?

Something smells funny.

SFC D

I’m gonna guess APFT failure and an overdeveloped table muscle.

Claw

The funny smell comes from him spending almost three years as a PV2 before finally making PFC as a “keeper” rank.

They say the first few years set the tone for a career.

It’s no wonder the Sergeants always told the Privates “Don’t ever get sew-on PFC or Skeeter Wings.”

lily

I wonder why his DD214 doesn’t list his Kosovo Campaign Medal?

HMC Ret

Honorary service and career now forever tarnished b/c you had to try to be someone you never could be. Someone explain this crapola to me.

A Proud Infidel®™

Cocksucker.

rgr769

As a former ODA commander in the 10th SFG(A) I should be highly offended by this POSer’s fakery, but it is mitigated by the fact that the fake SFers are neck and neck this week with the fake SEALs. Go ARMY! We have hope for a win this week.

Chip

Fake SEALs rule! You guys need to put out a good movie. There are all kinds of SEAL movies and shows out there. That gives them a advertising edge.

RM3(SS)

True Chip. The last really good Green Beret movie was John Wayne. :p

Frank

“Dear John”?
The only war film I can think of with human characters and weapon cleaning.
And that blonde girl’s jugz

Martinjmpr

I think watching a movie based on a Nicholas Sparks book is like a 6 point man-card violation. 😉

You can have the point deduction suspended, though, if you watch the first two “Die Hard” movies back to back. “Black Hawk Down” and “The Road Warrior” are also acceptable substitutes.

RM3(SS)

Well I for one am relieved he didn’t claim SEAL. We have reached our quota for the month and are now looking for Recon/snipers. (why is it ALWAYS sniper?) Is that supposed to be some kind of super cool thing, or is it a byproduct of online RPG’s.

Seamus

I don’t know!! Always drives me nuts! I think it’s a civilian fascination with the role. For those of us in the army, it’s not even an MOS, just something you do for a while if you’re lucky enough. I went to school in 2002 (class 06-02), and was a team leader in both A CO and HHC in 2-3, a total of 3 years, and when people ask me what I did for the army I NEVER say “I was a sniper”, I say, “I was an infantry NCO”. I spent Waaaaay more time as a fire team leader, squad leader, and rifle PSG than I did behind a long gun.
My dad, though, who did one tour as an aero-rifle platoon leader, and one more as a Cobra pilot in Vietnam, always thought it was fun to introduce me as his son, the sniper.
I really wish I could be a fly on the wall in the team room when these guys get busted. Would make for some really funny reality tv.

Frank

Never, ever own up to peeing on your targets.
Shoot ‘em in the balls if you must but never golden wash them.

Seamus

I accidentally hit the “report comment button”! My bad! I meant to just reply….

You don’t own up to it, but more importantly, remember that video is not find memories these days, it’s potential evidence.

Hondo

Blame NCIS. Remember: Gibbs character was a Marine sniper before he joined NCIS as an investigator.

MarDet

Hey Terrill Welge……you’re a fuckin liar you piece of shit! Enjoy Google fame you cum dumpster!

Frank

CAB? How do you fit a bayonet to a 155mm gun?

Martinjmpr

Well, you can put a suppressor on a 155 so why not a bayonet?

“Alpha Team, bro!”

Why did I suddenly think of this commercial?
