Monastery in the Mist
Near the town of Kalambaka, Greece, six Eastern Orthodox monasteries are built on top of a series of tall rock formations called the Meteora. Pictured here is the Roussanou Monastery, which was founded sometime in the mid-16th century. Today, a small group of nuns resides there.
Mr Wittgenfeld went to court yesterday and here is the report from folks who were there;
Wittgenfeld appeared today in KC 16th District in front of Judge Ardie Bland represented by counsel. He pleaded Guilty to all charges in exchange for a one year probated sentence and removal of ALL Internet postings regarding this entire issue. The Judge admonished him with the statement that if there is so much of a sniff about this he will be brought back to KC for an extended visit.
So, to recap, Mr Bernath is still a-moldering in a cell in Virginia until December, and Mr Wittgenfeld handed his ass over to a judge in Missouri.

His Mental Examination was withdrawn, I assume that means the Court has seen through another of his chickenshit stunts and decided to leave him in jail?
My take on the scenario is that his attorney withdrew the motion after finding out that it was not going to get Bernath another stalling action.
There was mention of the court receiving a letter from a doctor related to the evaluation or assessment of competency.
On the uptick, do consider that DeadStickDan has now been sober for a few weeks and had an opportunity to redirect his life’s purpose in a more meaningful and socially acceptable fashion.
Who knows, with the right meds and some regular supervision he might discover a better way to start off each day than trying to dig old holes deeper and deeper.

I was under the assumption that his initial examination was just scratching the surface and his court appearance on the 10th just let the judge know they wanted more time to examine him fully.
Wow. So it sounds like his attorney was tired of putting up with his shit and withdrew the request for mental eval.
Bernath also fired him. The Judge had him moved to where the other Criminals are kept ( that it has a bunch of nuts is just a coincidence) and reset his sentence hearing until Dec 15th.
Meanwhile Buttblast is STILL attempting to screw over the Shipleys by scrawling barely coherent notes with pencil to the judge in Florida.

It seems to me that I saw something similar starting up in Aquitaine, a movement for autonomy. Not sure about whether it was Aquitaine or another state, but the rumblings are going on. Spain doesn’t want to lose Catalonia because it is one of the few states that generate cash income.

Not trying to use medically accurate or technical language there – “sideways,” as used here, just means it didn’t feel right going in, felt less pleasant than normal, and is bothering me more than usual. Did suggest to the tech that she try injecting a bit more slowly because it actually helps to do so instead of shocking the system with a rapid jolt of foreign substance.
Oh, and I may be a little less patient than normal because of a root canal last week which included a bit of a reaction to the dumbing agent and the discovery that what we used to call a sensitivity to latex is now into full blown allergy mode. Oh, goody. That was no fun at all.
(How long does it take for the dumbing agent to wear off??)

It’s no fun going into chilly weather with dental angst and a sore arm – none at all.
Man, that hurts just thinking about it. Thanks to my multiple overseas tours and a break in service, my arms have seen more needles than a platoon of acupuncture practice dummies but to me THE worst shots to get were the Gawdamnmudda-fuckin’ Anthrax shots, the injection was painless but about thirty seconds later your arm feels like someone is blowtorching it!
API: Always thought those GG shots were bad, until I had to take those durn Anthrax Shots.
And you are right. As soon as the medicine hit the arm, I thought Fireants were having fun with me or liquid Fire and a Blowtorth were consuming my appendage. Or someone pouring gasoline on my arm and lighting a match.
I dread everytime I had to get those shots. And thanks to those shots, my immune system crashed. I’m now documented in some DoD Database of having bad side effects to that immunization and surprisingly, discovered others had the same problem.

Everyone should have this good an experience at their VA. I had a 9 AM Lab, and a 10 AM appointment. I left early, (to account for the unforeseen), got there at 8:05. Was in the Lab at 8:10, stopped by Orthopedics to schedule a Cortisone shot to my shoulder for next month, then upstairs to urology by 8:35. Signed in, prepared to wait, but the doc came out at 8:45 and had me come back to give me the good news. We then had a 15 minute conversation on Life on Big Pine Key. I left the building at 9:10 AM with follow up appointments made, and travel pay applied for. Life is Good.
Frankie I had a similar type of experience, actually several over the past few weeks.
About 9 years ago through a civilian dentist I had them start the process of doing two root Canals and putting crowns on.
They jacked it up and I never got any further than getting temporary crown, which came out after a few weeks.
I never went back ( too much out of pocket) and just resigned myself to not chewing anything on that side of my mouth.
Over the years I ended up getting a cavity there and it really started bothering me a few weeks ago.
I heard that once you are at a certain % the VA also provides 100% dental care.
It took a bit of playing phone tag ( the only thing negative in the entire experience) and I got a hold of the enrollment specialist. I thought there would be a long drawn out ordeal but he just took my name and last 4 of my SSN and gave me a number to call after an hour.
Long Story Short since I was having pain they gave me an Appt the next Morning and My Root Canals were fixed within a week. I have things set in motion and have seen the specialist who will do the crowns and have appt to have outside specialist do work lowering jaw bone 2MM around the crown area and doing deep cleaning around gums.
Frankie, a guy I worked with, and his wife, have a place on Big Pine Key. Their place weathered the Hurricane pretty good, hope you fared as well. They just got down there from the Mitten State.

The oft arrested STOLEN VALORIST, KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWAN, SCUMBAG EXTRAORDINAIRE, seems to have been transferred from the Polk County Jail to the Hillsborough County Jail on Orient Road Tampa Florida. I would think that this is so that he can attend a hearing, regarding his absconding from Community Control, at the Florida Department of Corrections regional office in Tampa. Unlike a disbarred attorney, he has retained his FDOC number through out this. He is still known, formally as Convict #H50625, and to his Cellies, he is called “Ol Stretched”. May he moan long, loud and frequently.

Over in another TAH thread today, we have the heart-warming saga of a couple of sailor ladies and their service dogs who had to be rescued because they apparently didn’t have the skills to navigate over a cross-walk with the light on green.
Meanwhile, police in Marshfield, Wisconsin have jailed an apparent poster boy for the hapless named Jeremy Van Ert because he somehow managed to get himself locked in a convenience store beer cooler overnight. During the time Van Ert was trapped in the reefer, the cops say he consumed a few brews, and didn’t pay for them when he was rescued by a store customer some hours later.

I simply await to hear about their next stint in jail after pissing off the wrong Judge and Prosecutors.
Oh DB doesnt need to do anything more to get to spend those Holidays plus the next 21 months in the Hoosecow in VA.
He has ALREADY been sentenced to two years. His court appearance in late September was to try to convince the Judge to reduce the sentence. Him trying to say he was on the crazy train and delaying the process only got him an early start on his incarceration while he awaits his hearing in December.
One other thing. Since his hearing was sidelined as soon as he through the looney card the State Prosecutor was not able to present the mountain of evidence she had that Bernath had STILL continued to violate the RO since he was found guilty in the Spring.
Above and beyond the 2 year sentence he is treading very dangerous water by continuously going after Sr Chief. There is a possibility or further charges and a longer sentence.
Seems to me he’s playing fast and loose doing this, Old Dog.
You can only scam the legal system for just so long before it catches up with you.
He may think he’s being clever, but you know as well as I do that he can outclever himself very easily and will screw his own pooch at some point, if he hasn’t already done so.
Playing fast and loose is what he has done for decades.
Most of his crap he pulled was in civil matters or in disability hearings. Even that caught up with him when he lost some cases and was sued.
He still liked to just be a miserable SOB and cost people money defending against his suits that were tossed out.

He went into unknown territory when he crossed the Sr Chief and started harassing and stalking him.
Criminal court is different. Now he isn’t dealing with individuals who may be reluctant to face him down. He is going against a State that has no problem using assets to stop his criminal activities. He is looking at those two years for certain, and pretty restrictive conditions when he is out on Parole. His recent shenanagans may result in an even longer incarceration.
Let’s hope for the best results, Old Dog.

So some good news dating back to early 2013. I initially applied for my CRSC (Combat related Special Compensation) a few months after getting out and being told i was eligible for it.
I applied and then got a letter saying that i needed a VA Waiver and that was the last i heard from anyone.
fast forward to Dec 16 2016 when i reapplied for the CRSC at the urgings of one of the guys i was evacuated to Landstuhl with. i just got the letter today from Army Human resources command saying i was rated at 80% for CESC . i have no idea what happens next but its been a long trip to get here.

Well, if anyone isn’t watching the World Series, last time I looked it was top of the 9th and the Dodgers suddenly came through with 5 runs in a row.
Looks like they may win the title this year.
Think it’s way too early to be bringing out the fat lady on either team – series is tied up 2-2. These two teams are just so evenly matched. Houston probably has more pressure to win Sunday, as games 6 & 7 goes back to LA.

Being a Army Brat and having lived in that area years ago when my Dad was stationed at Redstone, am very familiar with the High School Maxwell attended as well as the city.
Huntsville is very diverse because of all the different corporations and military that are located there..and I seriously doubt Maxwell was discrimated because of his ethnic background when he was growing up. And he is an Army Brat as well.
But then, what do you expect from a California Baseball player?
