Alvin Jamison; phony Tuskegee airman
Someone sent us their work on this fellow, Alvin Jamison who claims that he’s a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, that celebrated group of African-American pilots and crewmen of World War Two fame. He’s been fêted by State Senators and at veterans’ events;
Our buddy, Ron Brewington, the historian of the Tuskegee airmen says that Alvin is an associate member of the organization, but he was never a member of the military unit. Jamison was in the Air Force, but eleven years after World War Two and eight years after the unit was disbanded;
Alvin Jamison retired as a Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) with a Distinguished Flying Cross and numerous Air Medals. He was a loadmaster, stationed in Vietnam for more than a year. He had a career as a medical corpsman before he became a loadmaster and a total of 24 years of admirable service. But Alvin Jamison is not a Tuskegee Airman.

“Ah, Mr Jamison how do you keep your youthful vigor?”
“Get born 20 years after everyone else and milk the “white guilt circuit.”
loooooool!
WHAT possesses some people to do things like that? The Tuskegee Airmen are a small group and it’s easy to find out whether or not one was a Member of that esteemed group and Alvin Jamison already has a USAF Career to be proud of as it is!
“There’s some things in this world you just can’t explain…” – Charlie Daniels, “the Legend of Wooly Swamp”
If you get an answer to that question, would you let me know, API? I don’t get it, either.
So far I haveth naught, Milady!
Am I missing something here? Did he actually make claims to being in WWII? From what I have read in the posted articles, other people were claiming he participated in WWII. I am not seeing anything where he openly declared that he fought in WWII with the Tuskegee Airman. I could be wrong though, and probably am but, just sayin’
I guess he is his generation’s “Black Hawk Down” veteran.
I’ve only met one person that was a “Black Hawk Down” veteran. He was my Company Commander in A Co 2/27 INF in the mid 90’s. He wasn’t portrayed in the movie, but was in the book. His name is Jim Lechner and he was the FSO that convinced them to put the rockets on the little birds. Company runs were pretty slow since he took a round in the shin during the battle.
Wolfhounds! Wow what are the odds of having him as your CO. I read the book right when it came out and I recall that now after you mentioned it. I was down the street from 2/27 when they were still in 7th I.D. at Ft. Ord. I was at Ord from 1989 to 1982 but in 2/9 INF.
I don’t know any Mogadishu veterans, but I grew up with and USED TO be friends with the famous Mogadishu phony Brian Culp featured here on TAH. He was a legit CIB recipient from the Gulf War with 101st Airborne / Air Assault, but he decided instead that he was a Mogadishu wounded Ranger. Lol.
1989 to 1992. No I didn’t have a time machine.
Darn. I thought for a moment there was hope we could go back and fix some of our old mistakes.
I promise I’d share it if I had the means to do so. Haha.
Charge a nickel a ride and be a rich billionaire in no time.
If I could have just borrowed that, boy, would I have a wall-to-wall counseling session with myself at 16.
I’d love to think the scheduled follow-up sessions when I was 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 wouldn’t be needed… but I’d be kidding myself.
damn…..I was a Medic with the “Hounds from 95-98..Alpha Co.
I could say that I am a Mogadishu veteran. However, I will not say that I fought in the battle.
I did not fight in the battle, but I was assigned to Triple Deuce (2/22 Infantry, 10th Mtn Division) and my unit was on DRF 1 when the battle happened. We were in the air and headed to Mogadishu within 24 hours of the alert to deploy.
Jeez….STELLAR career and he took a dump on it.
::shaking head at stupid people::
Ahm – this guy has legit earned more awards than most posers claim, yet he STILL needs to exaggerate?
Whisky, Tango, Foxtrot; really?
WHY?
He’s black…was in the Air Force…yeah, that qualifies him to stand on the shoulders of great mean and bask in their accomplishments and sacrifice. Ahhh, no! Fuck no!
Oh yeah, he took a healthy shit on his career to soak up some undeserved fame and admiration…marvelous.
Yep, don’t get it at all. He had a career worth celebrating until he shat all over it with false claims.
I swear I thought this was a “aged” picture of Obama when I saw it.
You, too? More specifically, Obummer in the year 2047.
My first thoughts also. I thought it was a photoshop job.
If Obama had a father.
GMTA. I was going to post the same, glad I read the whole thread!!
Wtf are you uploading these pictures with a potato?
Hey bunny fucker, go away, you’re not needed here.
You get that Ranger tattoo removed yet?!?!
Fake Bitch.
Nah……he isn’t a “fake” bitch, he’s the real deal….bitch to his core.
HEY BUNNY FART, where’s that DD214 you promised, o booger-eating thumbsucking little mouse fart of a bedwetting candyass? IS THAT all you can come up with when you’re not blowing winos behind bus stops?
He isn’t gay….but, $5 is still $5.
I’m sure that Dalton Coldiron STILL blows winos behind bus stops for a nickel apiece and gives change.
I requested one from NPRC but it was in the fire that destroyed all the records I am requesting them but it will be some time.
If Obama had an uncle…
He’s lucky he even knows his Dads identity. I’m sure he doesn’t have a clue about any other senior male relatives.
Jonn, same deal on this post as with the Russ Minton post.

Was his Brother really a Tuskegee Airman…and if so, could Alvin be riding on his Brother’s coattails or someone misreading Alvin’s story based on his Brother?
I met Al tonight at a Veteran event. He was sporting his Tuskegee jacket and claimed to be an airman in WWII, Korean war and Vietnam. I was stoked to have met him until I happened upon this forum exposing him for what he is. He was even put up in a hotel this evening free of charge.
WT …
Is this Tuskegee Twofer Thursday (TTT)?
Just askin’.
Wow.
Here’s another story with Jamison:
http://www.sentinel-standard.com/news/20170905/pillars-unveiled-at-veterans-park
It identifies Jamison as a Tuskegee Airman but doesn’t have any direct quotes from Jamison.
It’s entirely possible that Jamison has never identified himself as anything other than an associate member, and that others have extrapolated incorrectly from that.
We can hope.
But I keep getting my hopes shot down.
Wow the guy has DFC and he had to bullshit about his career. A DFC is not something they give out litely, especially for enlisted aircrew. That alone is impressive.
If you Google up ‘Tuskegee Airman Clarence C. Jamison dies at 96’, you’ll find that Alvin Jamison is his younger brother. I think one could surmise he joined the group as an associate member in honor of his brother and perhaps there’s some mixed up reporting on the part of the media. Considering he had a distinguished USAF career in his own right, I’m not readily inclined to believe he would dishonor his brother or himself. Perhaps some additional research should be done to ensure he’s not falsely shamed.
A veteran of the the Tuskegee
Syphilis Experements…..more like it
I spent several hours with Al this weekend, and other veterans, at an event for veterans. He multiple times said he was an Tuskegee airman, had 48,000 hours in the air, served in WW II/Korea/Vietnam, Robyn Roberts’s (from GMA)father was his wing man and he called him Spanky Roberts, was shot down 7 times. He did toot his own horn quite a bit also was big on pushing for help/support for all vets.
I met him yesterday, he had on a Tuskegee airmen jacket on with his name on it. He is 93. How did He get that jacket?
