Tuesday morning feel good stories
From Memphis, Tennessee;
Police responded to the 4000 block of Jackson where two victims told officers they were approached by two suspects armed with a gun.
One of the victims told the suspects he was not afraid of getting shot when a suspect pointed it at him and instead, offered to buy the gun for $250.
The victims said the suspects became afraid, denied the offer, and ran.
From Madison, Florida;
It happened around 2 o’clock at the Wells Fargo on Highway 90.
One woman says the robber – dressed in drag – held up the teller. A man at the next window then chased him out of the bank.
The man who chased the robber told us he did fire a shot at the man, but it didn’t hit him.
Soon afterward, Madison County deputies arrested four people in a gold getaway car at an I-10 truck stop.
A very lucky police officer in Farmington, New Mexico;
Officials said a state police officer was arresting 26-year-old William Wilson after pulling him and his friends over during a traffic stop.
The officer handcuffed Wilson with his hands to the front of his body. Officials say it didn’t take long before he pulled out a gun and shot the officer.
The bullet went through the officer’s badge and it was stopped by the bullet proof vest he was wearing underneath.
It’s unclear if the officer patted Wilson down to check for weapons after handcuffing him.
“In the perfect world, yeah, people should be patted down and checked for weapons, but things happen very quickly,” said New Mexico State Police Chief Pete Kaasetas.
A San Juan County Sheriff’s deputy arrived shortly afterward to help the officer.
Both officers returned fire and right now it’s unclear who fired the shot that killed Wilson.
From St Helena Island, South Carolina;
Investigators say the man got away on foot after the burglary took place on Ball Park Road around 11:30 a.m. A homeowner reported that he received a phone call from his teenage son that an unknown subject was trying to break into the home. The homeowner drove to his residence and saw a man around the side of his house carrying what appeared to be a long rifle. He shot at the suspect once with a small caliber handgun and the suspect ran off into the woods.

Farmington, NM…..I’m hoping that there was a very good reason why the officer decided to cuff that scumbag to the front.
I’d be willing to bet that officer will change his arrest procedures pretty quickly if he wants to last 20 years.
That officer’s decision to cuff in front has already caused considerable attention…and, I’m sure, paperwork…he could very well be a former officer before too long.
Memphis, TN: offers to buy the bad guy’s gun. Hmmm… now that’s a novel approach.
I do try to imagine all possibilities for how to get out of being held up, but offering to buy the perp’s gun is a new one.
Hey, it worked; the guy ran away.
The story says that one victim knew the father of one of the perps.
Whatever works is fine with me.
I could use the ‘I’ll tell your mamacita’ if someone tries to carjack me.
I was tols a story by an acquaintance in law enforcement:
Crook pulls gun on pawnbroker. The 80-something man snatches the POS .25 out of his hand, clears it, looks it over, and says, “ten bucks. Take it or leave it”. Crook takes the ten and leaves.
That New Mexico trooper needs to go back to the academy for some remedial training in arrest procedures. I’m glad he’s alive but, man, is he lucky.
I don’t know of many good reasons to cuff in front.
BREAKING NEWS ! ! !
Cajun Navy leaving Texas after rescuers being shot at and robbed by people they were rescuing.

Why would someone chase a perp out of a bank then firing his weapon at the perp after the crime was over. Good chance of hitting someone down range. When I was working for Brinks, we were told if the bag was grabbed do not engage the running perp unless your life was in danger.
