A way out of Guantanamo

| January 28, 2009

Fox News (I found by way of Gateway Pundit) has obtained a copy of the martyrdom tape of Abdallah Ali al-Ajmi who was released to his home country of Kuwait from Guantanamo prison and found his way into Iraq and finally blew himself up in Mosul taking 12 other people with him. Lcuky for me, it was the same week that the hippies were protesting against Guantanamo in DC. In the tape al-Ajmi is heard to say;

In the name of Allah, most compassionate, most merciful and prayers and peace be upon our Prophet,” al-Ajmi says in the video. “I thank Allah, Lord of the Worlds, who freed me from Guantanamo prison and, after we were tortured, connected me with the Islamic State of Iraq [ISI]. And it is the gift of Allah to follow the path of this nation, the ISI.

I think this provides President Obama with a workable solution for closing Guantanamo. We can strap bombs on the 200 or so residents of the prison compound and, within the confines of Gitmo, let them wander around and blow each other up. We can either let them have the detonators or we can keep the detonators and blow them up at our option while watching from the safety of the perimeter. If blowing themselves up is the path to Allah, we ought to give them the opportunity.

There’s probably several other ways we could use them – release them into the rugged Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier with bombs strapped to them and send them into caves like self-propelled bunker busters. The options are endless.
