Friday morning feel good stories

From Norfolk, Virginia;

A home invasion turned deadly after a resident shot some of the would-be burglars who broke in.

The Virginian-Pilot reports that four people allegedly broke into an apartment in Norfolk on Friday. One of them, 17-year-old Kuwan Robinson, was shot and killed. Another, 20-year-old Jamal Bridges, was also shot. But he is expected to survive.

Two other alleged burglars, including a 15-year-old boy, have been arrested and charged with armed burglary, conspiracy and using a gun to commit a felony.

From Jacksonville, Florida;

The victim, a delivery driver for Hot Wok on 103rd Street, said he was delivering an order on West Arancio Drive at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when two men answered the door with a gun.

He said two men in their early 20s pointed a green laser at his face. The laser was coming from the bottom of a barrel on a black semi-automatic pistol, he told police.

The driver said the men told him to come inside several times.

He tried to turn around and leave and was approached by a third man with a gun, he told officers.

The driver told police he threw the food at the third man, backed away and grabbed a gun from a holster on his waist.

The driver fired four or five shots at the suspects and yelled for neighbors to call 911, according to police.

He held one suspect at gunpoint until police arrived, officer said.

Officers said a short time later, a man reported he had been shot at a different location.

He was arrested in connection with the attempted robbery. Officers are still seeking a third suspect.

Neighbors said that the house was empty for a long time and they think that the thieves occupied it for their robbery scheme.

From Port Arthur, Texas;

Around 11:57 p.m. on Wednesday, the Port Arthur Police Department responded to a call from an employee of a business on the 3700 block of 25th Street. The woman told police that three male suspects approached her and opened gun fire at her, which she returned with the gun she was carrying.

Police do not know if any of the suspects were hit. The woman was injured and was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Her current medical condition is unknown.

From Brentwood, California;

The two people who died in the shooting apparently had a gun when they entered the home about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, Brentwood police Lt. Walter O’Grodnick said. Police said they were both male, but did not identify the pair or give their ages, pending notification of relatives.

The shooter lived at the home in the 200 block of Birch Street and he was detained, then released, O’Grodnick said.

“The preliminary information shows it to be a home-invasion robbery,” O’Grodnick said. “Two suspects. One with a firearm. They presented a threat, and the shooting was prompted in self-defense.”

Kuwan died, and Jamal was wounded, when they and a couple of their fellow miscreants broke into an occupied home to take what was not theirs. The friends are in jail. And down in Florida a Chinese Food delivery driver threw the food at 3 armed robbers, wounded one and held another for the cops. 2 guys were killed when the pulled a home invasion in Californicate.
Do these dopes somehow think that this is a good vocation? Does freedom mean so little to them that they will risk death just to try to steal enough for some drugs, or a new gold chain, or some rims for their car?

Hard times when your your General Tso’s chicken and pork fried rice requires an armed guard for delivery.

You already can’t get pizza delivered to your hood.

These are the same folks who riot when they see a news truck, and burn their own houses down.

‘These are the same folks who riot when they see a news truck, and burn their own houses down.’

If we stopped rebuilding the shit they burn to the ground, maybe they would stop the burning. The Red Cross can give them blankets and they can live on the sidewalks. For at least a few days, there would be some heat generated from the smoldering houses and businesses.

I’m so tired of their shit.

Foxbat40

Well it is government housing so they get a new home and a cash payment for their lost property. Two big screen TVS DVD collectoins 2 Computers Lots of clothes some paintings from my grand mama some antique furniture some ipads some jewlery all lost in that damn fire… now pay up uncle sam.

The living Virginia miscreants need to be additionally charged with murder, since their co-conspirator died.

Port Arthur is in Texas, not Pennsylvania.

Ex-PH2

It’s a sad state of a affairs when a takeout delivery driver has to carry a gun to do his job, and in Florida, for Pete’s sake.
It’s bad enough in Chicago, but those empty houses are being razed and the lots turned into gardening spots.

Wilted Willy

I think they will be needing them as burial spots instead?

UpNorth

The powers that be(dems) are doing the same in Detroit. Won’t be long and there will only be tomatoes, lettuce and carrots living inside the city.

Mr. King, one has to laugh sometimes the way this paper describes things. You are right, it’s not a homicide nor is it a possible botched robbery. Sounds like to me the deceased and his friends were attempting suicide by burglary. Only one succeeded. The occupant of the apartment needs to hit the practice range to improve his/her chances of assisting other wannabe folks who want to commit suicide by burglary.

This place is within walking distance to the Naval Base, commissary, PX movie theater, PX, etc.

Port Arthur, Texas? In the middle of a tropical storm? REALLY?? Katrina transplants, maybe?
