Sunday morning feel good stories
From Portland, Oregon;
The shirtless suspect, later identified as 19-year-old Noel Stivensson, by all accounts kicked in the door of an apartment, and was acting “out of it” according to its resident, who asked not to be identified.
The resident said the trespasser “appeared to be high” and, out of concern for his own safety, took a knife in hand and chased Stivensson out the door and into the parking lot where he turned and confronted the resident – and got sliced in the ribcage for it – before taking off again on foot.
Mr Stivensson was subsequently arrested by the responding officers.
From Arcadia, California;
The customs agent was walking on a sidewalk when he was attacked from behind by the boys – two 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old, the LASD spokeswoman said. One of the assailants allegedly repeatedly struck the agent in the head as another pointed a gun at him and demanded his property.
“The victim thought the subjects were going to rob and shoot him so he retrieved his department-issued handgun,” Rodriguez said. “The victim shot at the subjects in an effort to defend himself.”
According to investigators, the armed teen and one of his accomplices were struck by the agent’s gunfire. The third boy, who was unharmed, fled the scene on foot.
One of the 15-years-old was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital. The others are either being treated at the hospital or rotting in a jail cell.
From Chicago, Illinois;
A 16-year-old Chicago boy was shot and killed this morning after attempting to rob a 24-year-old man in the parking lot of a bank near Madison Street and Austin Boulevard in Oak Park, according to a news release from the Oak Park police department.
Police said that the 24-year-old man, who is from Chicago, has a valid conceal-carry permit.
“The pair apparently exchanged gunfire before the alleged robber reportedly entered a waiting car and fled into Chicago,” the release stated.
Police said the teen was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Chicago is no longer the pleasantly quiet city it used to be, with tree-lined streets and buses that never ran on schedule. If the moron – er, mayor ever gets his act together (not gonna happen), I will be surprised.
Glad I don’t live there any more.
In 1959/early ’60, I lived in the “Clark, Diversey, Halsted triangle”, and locally, it was anything but quiet. I was hanging with the Stompanato Boys, and saw some pretty wild action after the sun went down.
“A 16-year-old Chicago boy was shot and killed this morning after attempting to rob a 24-year-old man in the parking lot…” . Wrong, a 16 year old boy doesn’t do that shit. It was a 16 year old PUNK.
“… when he was attacked from behind by the boys – two 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old,”. Wrong, 14 and 15 year old boys don’t do that shit. It was 14 and 15 year old PUNKS.
Some dead, some wounded, some jailed. Punks off the street.
Seems to be a lot of teens in today’s reports. Hopefully the deceased ones didn’t pass along their Stoopid Genes before becoming room temperature. The cleansing of the shallow end of the Gene Pool takes a lot of lead pellets.
But I can hear it now, “Mah boyz, mah boyz. They was such guud boys, athletes and scholars, turnin’ theyz lives aroun’, gettin’ ready fo’ college wit’ scholar ships an’ all. And then The Mean Man jus’ HAD to dragz them outta the house and shoots them. Thass RACISSSSSSS! I’s gonna suuuu!!!”
I look forward to the day that someone who protected himself from people like that counter sue the parents for violation of their civil rights.
For those of you that browse that Face Book thingy on the interwebnetz
