Trump calls out valor thief Blumenthal
The Dick Blumenthal, senator, serial liar and valor thief from Connecticut called the firing of James Comey a “constitutional crisis”, you know, because he says so. So, the President reminds us of Blumenthal’s past;
Watching Senator Richard Blumenthal speak of Comey is a joke. "Richie" devised one of the greatest military frauds in U.S. history. For….

years, as a pol in Connecticut, Blumenthal would talk of his great bravery and conquests in Vietnam – except he was never there. When….

caught, he cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness…and now he is judge & jury. He should be the one who is investigated for his acts.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 10, 2017
From The Hill;
Trump was referring to a controversy in Blumenthal’s 2010 Senate campaign in which he admitted misspeaking about his military service.
Blumenthal held a press conference during the campaign to clarify that he had said he served “in” the Vietnam War when he meant to say he served “during” the war, as a reservist and not overseas.
Yeah, he should be investigated. Especially since when he did his tearful apology, he was accompanied by other valor thieves on the stage.
Thanks to QM1 for the tip.
ADDED: Dicky responds;
President Trump – Your bullying won’t silence my calls for an independent prosecutor and investigation.

I did not hearing ANYONE calling it a “constitutional crisis” when Billybob Clinton fired Judge Sessions as the FBI Director in 1993…
OR when he fired all those US attorneys as well. The difference between politicians and prostitutes? Prostitutes are more honest about screwing for a living.
And prostitutes will get you satisfied for your money.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Clinton wasn’t currently being investigated by Judge Sessions, was he?
I can completely get behind firing Comey for the reasons outlined in the letters, but there are allegations that President Trump asked the AG to find reasons to fire Comey after being incensed by his testimony. This situation and the Clinton one are a bit different.
Or, put another way, had Hillary Clinton won the Presidency and fired someone leading an investigation into, say, Benghazi or Clinton Foundation stuff after being angry at their testimony to Congress,… would you say that’s just totally a non-issue as well? There are things that are legal and within the President’s power that still maybe aren’t right.
The FBI is a large institutional agency; it will continue with its ongoing probes of Russian interference/Hillary/etc. etc. with or without Comey. The deputy (now acting) director is an obama appointee; no way no how these probes will end just because Comey got fired…
As for Sessions back in 1993, he later voiced the opinion that one of the reasons he was peremptorily fired back in 1993 was because Clinton knew that a load of scandals about his conduct in and out of the White House was about to land on his administration, and he wanted his own FBI appointee in-place before it all came down…
LC if you think for one reason there wasn’t enough reason to fire this dipshit then you are part of the problem with this country, how in the hell is it Hillary or her cronies are not facing any charges is beyond be.. and look at the illegal activities the former president
And his Lakeys were pulling
The issue now should be to clean house
To include all the morons on the left who have shown a complete disregard for the law
Maybe you missed the section where I said I can completely get behind firing Comey for the reasons that were outlined in the letters supporting that firing?
I can support the idea of firing the man while still believing that the manner and timing in which it happened is questionable at best. And, more to the point, that it isn’t (or wasn’t – CH pointed out some aspects I wasn’t aware of with respect to the Sessions firing) the same as Bill Clinton’s actions in 1993.
And if you look through my previous comments here, you’ll find I have zero love of Hillary and I’m not unhappy she lost. (Which doesn’t mean I’m happy President Trump won, either.)
I’ll offer a different take on the problem in the country – respectful disagreement and standing on principle has gone out of fashion in favor of blaming the ‘other side’ for all the complex, difficult problems we face. I think, in principle, firing an FBI director who is investigating your White House is bad form. And I think it’s equally bad regardless of which party holds the White House. Fair enough?
Where was all the hollering about the fairy princess John Kerry and his bullshyt bronze star and 3 purple hearts…Nixon would have hung his worthless ass out to dry if he stayed in office, he wanted a piece of Fairy Kerry!!
But it wasn’t a constitutional crisis when they were calling for the previous occupant to fire him last fall?
Oh, never mind. Hypocrisy is not an issue for them.
“Oh, never mind. Hypocrisy is not an issue for them.”
It’s NOT an issue with them, it’s their way of life.
This ^^^^!
Manufactured crisis.
Misspeaking?
No, Bloomy, you mouth breathing tard. You fucking LIED. You got caught. You’re still in denial.
YES- when the hell did it become a cutesy phrase to say, “Oh,my, I MISSPOKE” to cover a bald faced lie? Like getting shot at by snipers in Bosnia… or serving in Nam…or being shot down while covering the unpleasantness in the Middle East…. lying bastards one and all.
I think the new buzzword is now “conflated”…..thank you Brian Williams.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
You know your shit is weak when the POTUS dimes your ass out as a LSOS on Twitter.
BWAAAAAHHHAAAA.(or however a snarky laugh is spelled)
I just say, ” Neener, neener, neener …”
and rub as much salt into the wound as I can.
Well, if it wasn’t for double standards, crooked politicians like Sen Blumenthal would have no standards at all.
Yawn. Is Blumebutt going to cry in public again?
Every time I look at that picture, I want to sneeze – clear the air, or something.
To be quite honest, my reaction to that picture is “There is someone I’d like to punch in the face.”
Not that I’m advocating anyone do that, of course.
Throat punch. Leaves less obvious marks, and the victim can’t speak for awhile.
Lower, much lower…..
Summer 2016: Dir. Comey decides against filing charges on Clinton = Hero of The Left
Fall 2016: Alerts Congress the pervert husband of Clinton lieutenant Huma Abedin has classified HRC emails mixed in with his underage porn = Enemy of The left
Spring 2017: Hillary takes responsibility for losing election by blaming Dir. Comey. = Still Enemy of The Left
Last night/this morning: Pres. Trump axes Dir. Comey = Martyr of The Left
You could say The Left’s relationship with Comey has had its ups-and-downs.
I read former NYPD Commish Ray Kelly is being considered. I second that motion.
Ray Kelly would be a good choice… the Donks would put him through Hell during any confirmation process.
Trey Gowdy would be a great choice.
Yes, he would!
Gowdy has my vote!
No. Gowdy is more effective where he is now.
He’s very effective at calling people out where he is. But, he is one of, albeit the Chairman of his own committee, many. As part of the Executive branch he wouldn’t have to deal with cross aisle bickering or political grandstanding. Trey Gowdy could concentrate on what he does best digging the truth out of the dirt, and bringing Justice.
I think his background as a tenacious Prosecutor in South Carolina would make him a great FBI Director or Attorney General someday.
That really is a tough call. He is so damn effective in Congress. He really pushes the right buttons and asks the solid questions. His committee found out so many things about benghazi and the clinton servers he makes the rest of the “investigative” government look like 4th graders.
He’d be fantastic as FBI director, but losing him from Congress is not necessarily a good thing. Especially if the Dems actually find a candidate that is worth a damn (yeah, I laughed out loud too) in 3 years to run against trump.
IMO – I believe Gowdy would be successful at any position he filled, but like many of you would hate to see the gaping hole he’d leave in Congress. I’m not sure there is anyone who can even come close to filling his shoes. Plus, time in grade counts in Congress so even if we had someone moving up through the ranks they would be sidelined unless they had some seniority…
Colonel Ray Kelly USMCR (Retired) ‘Colonel Ray Kelly, USMC to NYPD: “Big Apple” Police Chief Applied Corps’ Lessons’ https://www.mca-marines.org/leatherneck/2014/06/colonel-ray-kelly-usmc-nypd ‘Virtually everything I learned about leadership I learned in the Marine Corps,” reflected retired Marine Colonel Ray Kelly just days before relinquishing command of about 35,000 police officers and more than 15,000 civilian staff in the New York City Police Department. […] In order to get into the police cadet program, he had to pass the test to become a police officer. He actually served in that capacity for a brief time before he entered the Corps after graduating from college in 1963 with a commission to second lieutenant. He shipped out to The Basic School (TBS) at Quantico and went on to become an artillery officer going to Camp Pendleton, Calif., with the 11th Marine Regiment. He deployed from Pendleton to the Republic of Vietnam for 12 months with 2d Battalion, 1st Marines. “There were a lot of difficult days,” he told Veteransadvantage.com about his Vietnam tour, noting that some of the most difficult came during an engagement, coincidentally called Operation New York, from Feb. 27 to March 3, 1966. That was an operation against the Viet Cong east of Phu Bai involving U.S. military and Army of Vietnam forces. “We trapped a VC battalion on a peninsula,” he said in the Veteransadvantage .com article. He described how his battalion encountered heavy resistance as they tried to rout the enemy. Kelly said that he witnessed the courage of young Marines who exposed themselves to enemy fire to go to the aid of fellow Marines. “To put someone else’s life before your own personal safety embodies the essence of courage,” the article attributed him saying. “I still use the lessons I learned in the Corps every day,” he said, stating that the lessons have formed the foundation of his career or rather careers. After release from three years of active duty, Kelly joined the Marine Corps Reserve and served with the 6th Communications Bn in New York, starting in 1966. At the same time, he started working for the NYPD. Not… Read more »
Don’t blame me, I voted for the other guy.
The only good thing about Connecticut is that there are roads leading out. Heavily potholed, crowded roads that haven’t been updated since 1942, constantly under construction, and about to be tolled, but they DO exist… for now.
Does the President have the power to hire and fire the FBI director? Yes. Is there a Constitutional crisis in using that power as he deems fit? No.
Kind of like how the President has the power to regulate immigration? Apparently the Dems’ Constitution is different than ours… it seems to be considerably more fluid.
They seem to have a constitution while we have a Constitution.
Isn’t that what Al Franken claimed in the Gorsuch Hearings?
Dick Blew-men-thal thinking again or just being a parrot for Chuck “fuck nut” Schumer (the attention whore of the Senate)?
Blumenthal is a turd. But seeing someone who managed to get college and medial deferments to avoid service call someone else about service claims…I don’t know, it’s kind of like the loudmouth equipment manager who talks trash on the sideline of a football game knowing he doesn’t have to play.
The difference being that Trump never made claims about some fantasy of imaginary service like The Dick.
No, but to be fair, the President has claimed that he ‘always felt he was in the military’ because of his education at a military-themed boarding school. Sure, that’s not Stolen Valor in that he’s not claiming awards and service he didn’t earn, he’s claiming something equal to it.
Had Blumenthal said his time in college was sort of like being in the military, I’m guessing people here would be all over him for that, too, even absent any claims of service in Vietnam. And understandably so.
In college ROTC they are members of the military, especially once they sign that contract before year 3.
The difference though is that while Trump said dumb things like “I know more than the generals” he never said, Oh I served in Viet Nam. Military school students are treated as if they’re in the military and function that way with rank, organization, uniforms, etc. Their cadre are also a good portion of retired / former military personnel. It doesn’t excuse dumb shit that he says like, “I’ve always wanted a purple heart!” and the like, but it is vastly different than claiming like Dickard, “I served in Viet Nam” to get elected.
I see what you’re saying, but I still respectfully disagree – Blumenthal did eventually serve, and was honorably discharged, and according to various news reports he even correctly portrayed his service during the same event in which he ‘misspoke’.
So we have a guy who did serve, honorably (yes, after several deferments), and arguably misspoke at the same event where he accurately portrayed said honorable service, and we’re saying that guy is an utter jackass, but the guy who never served, says all sorts of stupid shit routinely, and compares his non-military education to having served, is just fine?
I’d feel differently if Blumenthal had a repeated tendency to make bullshit claims, and I think people here believe he has (and maybe he has, I don’t know, I only know of the one), but as is, I find this a bit rich.
I see, he “accidentally” “misremembered” his time in the Air Force in which he was neither in Southeast Asia nor in harm’s way, so that he “misspoke” about having flown combat missions dropping ordnance on commies, dodging SAMs, tangling with MiGs, etc.
Yeah, no. Fucker lied his ass off and tried to play the victim card when he got caught. Dick Blumenthal is a lying sack of shit who claimed honor he didn’t deserve for deeds he didn’t perform.
You have this “dick” confused with that other D congresswhore falsely claiming service in the Viet of the Nam. The Dick in question served in the USMC Reserve, doing Toys for Tots and similar PR events in the District of Criminals “during” the war. He just forgot to use that word during his many mis-spoking occasions.
I stand corrected. My bad.
Yeah, too many dicks in Congress that pull that kind of bullshit.
What I find interesting with this whole administration is that they are not playing by the “rules” the swamp creatures have carefully laid down where Cryin Chickie Schumer and Lyin Dickie Blumenthall dwell and here to fore thrived.
President Trump is keeping these people reeling and they just keep spinning from one “oh my god” crisis to another that it just becomes more white noise. Meanwhile and relatively quietly, this administration is making some significant changes domestically and some surprising progress internationally.
The Dems are being played me thinks and it is a wondrous thing to see.
Not only are they being played, for the most part President Trump is playing them like a kid does with a yo-yo.
“…they just keep spinning from one “oh my god” crisis to another that it just becomes more white noise.”
Great point. When everything is an outrage, before long nothing is. If the Dems can’t be more selective in their outrage, when Trump does something truly stupid or dangerous, few will listen.
“Never let a perfectly good crisis go to waste.” – Rahm Emanuel
Sounds like the mantra of the whole D-rat party, look at Rahm himself, riding high on taxpayer’s money while that city continues to go to hell in a handbasket.
City? Hell- they will drag that whole state (IL) with them. Terrible, how much that city takes from other cities and counties.
People have said this more than once about them and the media.
They don’t learn and I doubt they will learn for the entire time that he is president.
Blumenthal is a liar and a valor thief, period. But “one of the greatest military frauds in US history”? Hyperbole much, Mr. President? (Yeah, I think a lot of the hand-wringers mourning Comey’s dismissal are guilty of hyperbole as well.) Blumenthal is a piker compared to dozens that any one of us could probably name off the top of our heads.
And how many of those others are serving members of the US Senate, MrBill?
No, considered in isolation in terms of stolen valor alone Blumenthal the LSoS isn’t the worst offender of all. But combine his baldfaced lying about his military service with his current Federal office, and yes – a good case can be made that he’s the “one of the greatest frauds”.
In the history of Stolen Valor among US politicians, only Lyin’ Lyndon’s Silver Star escapade comes to mind that IMO ranks higher. And Johnson wasn’t lying about having received the Silver Star or being in a war zone – he just received it under highly questionable circumstances, embellished the hell out of his story, and arranged to have it “presented” to him multiple times as a political prop.
We have the right to expect a bit better than that from high Federal officials – elected or appointed.
Ah, a member of the “What he really meant was…” team riding to the rescue! 😉
If you’re going to narrow the field in that manner, Hondo – to who is the greatest valor thief among high-ranking Federal officials – the I’d agree with you that Blumenthal is among the worst.
Not really. Just pointing out that limiting one’s reply to 420 characters makes brevity essential – sometimes at the expense of absolute clarity. (smile)
There’s a 420 character limit?
On twitter? Yes. 420 because they were smokin’ weed and blitzed out of their minds when they decided how long a message would be.
“Dudes, what if we make the limit 420!” “Totally, that rocks. Come on, puff puff pass….”
140 characters on Twitter, I believe. Three ‘tweets’ gets you to 420 characters, and enduring scorn from anyone sensible enough to not use Twitter.
I think the Pres knows exactly what he is doing when he does that. People are now saying just what you did…”Yea he (Little Dickie Blumenthal) is a liar and valor thief but not the worst there ever was” not realizing they just agreed with the main point of his tweet.
Folks need to read “The Art of the Deal” because so far he is following a pretty consistent strategy and yet none of the Dems or MSM seem to have cracked that book or caught on so they can learn to anticipate and adjust their strategy.
Calling him “Richie” makes my day.
I love how it’s a constitutional crisis when a President does what they are allowed to do within their powers of the office, just because they are of the wrong party.
Serves those Democrats right, Obama left his pen and phone in the Oval Office.
And I hear a copy of his Kenyan birth certificate, just to really fuck with him.
Trump is savage AF. He should start tweeting about ISIS and other Islamists.
Rush is reporting that the Don is going to meet with Sergei Lavrov after he meets with SoS Tillerson. If this ain’t stirring the pot…
The POTUS is a fing boss.
Blumenturd is all about helping less-than-honorable shitbags get discharge upgrades.
Forced to live in Connecticut until I retire. This NEVER gets old! Dick almost gets turned into a “pink mist” on the train platform!
It SUCKS that the train missed hitting him!
Watch you six…Dick!
I’m going to print a roll of that photo at the top and put it in the bathroom.
What did the bathroom ever do to you to deserve that? Lol

Hey, Dick, how long do you think the Feebs have been trying to find any single little thing on this? And, who do you think would do the investigating, if there was yet another investigation?
FUCK YOU Dick[less] Blow-men-all.
The next article on the great man Wilburn K Ross and his MOH description puts this entire crime of Theft of Valor in a whole different light.
To me, to think that someone with no morals, courage or temerity attempts to hog the limelight by tales of derring-do that never existed exemplifies exactly how bereft they really are of any kind of moral center.
They should all be out burning shit with diesel for the troops for the next twenty or so years…
That would be an appropriate punishment for them for eternity–in Hell.
Good candidates:
– David Clarke
– Thomas Hodgson
– Cathy Lanier (but only cuz I went to Elementary School with her)
– Ken Paxton
Good Non – LE Choice would be James Liddy (if he would take the pay cut), or even brother Ray.
As an avid fan of Sheriff Clarke for many years I would also support him as FBI Director.
When asked what is the first thing he would do if he was given that job; “I would arrest Hillary”…
That giant sucking sound was everybody on the killary team’s assholes sucking air off the planet…
Heads would literally explode if he were even suggested as a potential candidate…
