Wednesday morning feel good stories
From Tucson, Arizona;
According to deputy Cody Gress, a call came in at 4:15 a.m. about two or three armed suspects broke into a home in the 2200 block of West Oregon.
The residents and home invaders exchanged gunfire, and deputies later discovered a body of a man who was shot to death. Gress said the dead man is possibly connected to the crime.
None of the residents were injured.
From San Antonio, Texas;
Police got a call from the homeowner that someone was trying to break in. She was upstairs when she heard some noise coming from the bottom floor. That’s when she grabbed her gun and headed down the stairs.
She spotted a Hispanic male in his early 20’s breaking in through her back kitchen door. She started screaming at the man as he managed to kick in the door and make his way into the kitchen.
He continued to come into the home, so she opened fire. She doesn’t think she hit him. No blood was found at the scene.
In Dallas, Texas;
[Police] found the gunman dead. He won’t be identified until his next of kin has been notified.
Another person with a gunshot wound was taken to a hospital in critical condition. He was later listed as stable, Dallas police spokeswoman Tramese Jones said.
Homicide detectives who interviewed witnesses determined that the robber produced a handgun and tried to rob two people. One of the people got shot and then fought with the suspect to defend himself, Jones said. The victim managed to get the gun away and shoot the suspect.
The third person was injured by the robbery suspect after being struck with the gun, Jones said.

Thuggery by lazy punks continues. They keep getting shot, and either killed or wounded, but they are also hurting the people who work hard to have what they have and be good, productive, citizens. A firearm is a sound investment, and a good tool to have around the house. Get one, and get familiar with it. Bashing them with an iron skillet only works if they allow it and don’t shoot you as you try it.
“Bashing them with an iron skillet only works if they allow it and don’t shoot you as you try it.”
A quick-draw skillet expert in this forum might disagree.
Third story; “[Police] found the gunman dead. He won’t be identified until his next of kin has been notified.”
Seriously, not identified? That’s the first time I’ve heard of such a courtesy given to a perp in a serious felony.
Screw this SOB!
We have the same thing here, LiRight.
When I asked about it, I was told that the “next of kin” requirement was so there was no mistaken the identity of the deceased person. The family comes in and identifies them and then then name can be released.
As you can imagine, the incorrect identification of someone in the papers or even wrongly accusing someone of being shot while breaking in can have effects on an innocent party / parties.
Guy might have an identical twin? So they’ve got to find the live one to prove who’s the dead one?
Some target practice is SORELY needed here folks!!
