Another Discovery Channel fail
According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Will Hayden, the TV personality that led the Discovery Channel’s Sons of Guns reality show has been convicted of raping two underage girls in Louisiana;
His 15-year-old victim told jurors that Hayden repeatedly raped her over the course of a year-and-a-half in 2013 and 2014, when she was 11 and 12 years old.
His former employee Rebecca Ramsey testified that she walked in on Hayden in August 2014 kissing the girl in his house, and filed a report with East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office one day later, the Advocate reported.
In her testimony on Wednesday, the young girl said that she was performing oral sex on the 51-year-old as Ramsey walked in on them, according to the paper.

Hayden is scheduled to be sentenced in May, but his aggravated rape conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
He also faces separate rape charges in Livingston Parish and has a trial scheduled for July. An aggravated rape charge concerns the 15-year-old girl and a sex crime charge concerns his adult daughter Stephanie Hayden.
Discovery Channel is having a hard time casting these reality-type shows. Maybe they should go back to doing actual science shows instead.

They should really rename that channel to the “Poor Life Choice” channel as they seem to pick nothing but losers for these shows….can’t say I’ve ever seen the show in question…I like movies and such but I don’t lately see that much “entertainment” media. There are a few shows I try to keep up on as a concession to my better half, but I watch most of them with her during dinner on our DVR. That way I can zoom past the commercials, I find as I get older I’m a bit less patient than I was as a younger man and I was never that patient to begin with…15 minutes of commercials and 45 minutes of show seems a tremendous waste of time for most of this crap…

Stephanie had a son when she was a teenager. I looked up pics on social media when they first started the show. Her son looks very much like Will. She never talked about the child’s father that I could find. Only that she was estranged from her mother about the same time as the show started.
In her interview with Dr Phil, they did not air any discussion about the baby daddy, which is strange for Dr Phil to not grill her about the subject. Which makes me think he knew or suspected this was part of the abuse case.
There were cryptic comments online from Stephanie and her husband Kris from time to time after Will’s arrest. Things that make you go hummmm.
Think back to how erratic Will looked/acted on the show when he found out that Stephanie and Kris were an item.
I would not be surprised if DNA evidence is submitted at trial. Once again, this is pure speculation.
The so-called reality shows are anything but real. Most of the crap is staged, rehearsed, and, in the case of people dumped in the wilderness, they are never alone, in one way or another. Help is always minutes away. There’s this one show that I have seen commercials for but you would have to pay me good money to watch. A couple, one man and a waoms, run around naked. I don’t get it, but I’m that’s okay. I like being ignorant of certain things. As for the child molester and rapist, I did watch his show but I never liked him or any member of his crew. I did like the bang-bang though.

As for Discovery Channel… should be called the “Trailer Trash TeeVee”. A&E use to show real programs that involved the Arts and “real” Entertainment, but they are just a step below Discovery.

Well, you see, hiking a trail to shoot wildflowers or birds doesn’t have quite the panache as watching someone go into fake survival mode or do the shoot-shoot-bang-bang thingy.
I guess Hayden didn’t get the same legal briefing we did at Polk back in ’63 while going through basic: If you get involved with a girl make sure she’s at least 14. It was pretty much understood that rape was not an option. How times have changed.
If you’re single, she better be at least 18 (with ID) and not in your family tree. Hell, not even in the same forest if you can help it.

I was channel-surfing the other day and saw one of their stupidass “shaky night vision camera” reality shows about some idiots hunting Sasquatch. They were waving shotguns around at raccoon and possum noises, violating every safety rule there is, and generally making asses of themselves, kinda like the heavily-armed-but-can’t-shoot-for-shit guys who get to be monster bait in a B-horror movie, and it occurred to me that real rednecks wouldn’t do anything remotely like that. My conclusion was: I don’t know if Squatch is real or not, but if it is, these idiots sure as hell won’t be the ones to prove it!
I’m beginning to wonder if the Discovery Channel screens their prospective Reality TV critters and ONLY hires them if they’re exceptionally fucked up or do they have a shitball hiring quota?
When it comes to these gun shop shows, it appears they always go the shitbag route. Both Hayden and the shop owner in American Guns had their FFLs revoked by the ATF before the shows ever started.
Time for a new Discovery Channel reality show….”My life as a prison wife”.
