Saturday morning feel good stories
Robert L. Kimbrough, 27 (aka “Mater” and “Budder”) and 34-year-old Johnathan Andrew Smith broke into a home in Cullman County, Alabama and when they did, a scuffle ensued with the homeowner who shot Smith DOT (dead over there).
Smith and Kimbrough then fled the scene in a vehicle. That vehicle was found a short time later at Highway 67 and County Road 1759. When authorities discovered that vehicle, they found Smith dead inside from gunshot wound. The driver – later identified as Kimbrough – had fled the scene.
Now, poor Kimbrough has been charged with the felony murder of his partner.
In Indianapolis, Indiana, an intruder was shot by residents when he forced his way into a home.
Officers found the suspect shot in a parking lot. Two other people were hurt after being hit with a blunt object, police said. The incident started in an apartment on the second floor, police said.
24-year-old Ricky Higgs flagged down Little Rock, Arkansas police officers and told them he had been shot while walking down the street minding his own business. On further investigation, the officers discovered that he had forced his way into an ex-girlfriend’s apartment. When Briana Lewis feared for her safety, she shot Higgs.
The neighbor told police he was walking over to the house when he heard a window break and saw Lewis and Higgs arguing.
He said he witnessed Lewis shoot Higgs and saw Higgs wrestle away the gun, which was dropped. The neighbor kicked the gun away and Higgs fled the scene.

When a thug and his buddy set out to do harm to people and the buddy gets shot and killed, the thug will be charged with his murder. Leaving the dead guy in a vehicle and walking away probably won’t help the case.
In another incident an ex boyfriend tried to make his old girlfriend love him. She shot his ass, and he left the scene, and tried to tell a cop that he was shot while walking on the street. Will they ever learn?
Mater and Budder? Is that an obscure Australian dialect? The irony of being charged with your butt-buddy’s murder because the two of you haven’t got the sense God gave a lead pencil sticks out like a sore thumb.
The Indy incident strikes me as a confirmation that any household object can be used for self-defense. It is my reason for keeping a cast iron skillet on the stovetop. 🙂
Must be fans of Disney’s “Cars”..that is “Tow-Mater” lol

I knew it wasn’t so you could make me a nice warm grilled ‘sammich on Friday. You know, with great Boar’s Head meat and cheese. A little mayo and sweet mustard, perhaps a nice slice or two of tomato.
NTW, though, I’m in counseling. I think I’m getting better. Fridays are the worst, though.
