Monday morning feel good stories
11B-Mailclerk sends us an odd story from Rock Hill, North Carolina, about 17-year-old Kayla Knapp who assaulted her stepfather with two kitchen knives. He defended himself with a toy light saber. A couple of bonks on her noggin calmed her down until the police arrived to charge her with “assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature”.
A shoplifter thought his ill-gotten gains were worth dying for in St Louis, Missouri. A security guard followed him as he made his escape and the criminal pulled out his gun and pointed it the loss-control officer, causing the officer to fire his own weapon three times. The thief was DRT (dead right there).
In Redding, California, where an intruder made the bright decision to attempt a break-in to the house of an off-duty California Highway Patrol Officer. Officers arrive to find the CHP holding the criminal at gun point and well-ventilated. The criminal was DOT (dead over there) a the hospital.

I knew it! Obi-wan will be pleased to know that his lessons held up well.
I own a replica light saber that has a polycarbonate blade. With that polycarbonate blade I could theoretically beat someone to death with it without it breaking. But mine isn’t “off the shelf”

This is all good news, I have some family in Redding and now they are 2 cents safer with that maggot gone!
Two-bit, loser, thugs just aren’t that smart. Drawing down on an armed security guard? Sheesh! Breaking into the home of an off duty cop? WTF? Two proven ways to wake up dead.

Raising teenagers is tough, but at least I never had to use a lightsaber on mine.
It would be interesting to know what the altercation was about – some bad boyfriend he did not want her seeing?
FYI: Rock Hill is in South Carolina; it’s so close to Charlotte that it’s part of the Charlotte metropolitan area.
It’s also interesting that the Daily Mail article contradicts itself over whether the shooting was inside or outside the store. It’s in the first two sentences. Deadlines must run tight there.
