In Regards to the Military

| March 9, 2017

Well, well, well. Just look what popped up in the news on Reuters this morning, and look at which attention-whoring ‘attorney’ is right up front there, in the thick of it, grinning like an ape at the cameras.

Attention-whoring at its finest, isn’t it? And yes, I could do some real cat-dancing on Gloria, but that’s a waste of time.

Something I learned awhile back is that the more you posture for attention, the more likely people are to respond in an uncivilized, vile way.  Uncivilized behavior seems to be the usual response of the current younger generation, somewhere between 18 and 28 years old. I blame their parents for it, parents and schoolteachers both, and anyone else who let them get away with it.

Those two women with Allred may have a valid bone to pick, or maybe not. If, as one of them says, the photo she submitted to Marines United was of her fully dressed, not inappropriately provocative, that’s not quite the same thing as posting online images of yourself in your birthday suit.

But let’s take a hard look at this. Rough talk and pure vulgarity is not something new in the world. I have yet to find a man with a permanently prissy mouth who had anything but a limp backbone. Cursing is as old as human speech. Denying that aspect of our history is refusing to face reality. Even the most mild-mannered fellow can be moved to sputter ‘sonuvabitch!’, if it’s appropriate. He might apologize afterwards, which is fine, but I’d take no offense.  I’ve been known to let fly myself.

My response to this childish nonsense is simple: if you don’t want to be hammered by a bunch of uncivilized slobs with mouths like sewers, then do not assume they’ll like you just for you. If you are dumb enough to post nekkid photos of yourself online, you have a problem. Exhibitionism is a mental disorder. Putting ‘nekkid-look-at-me!!!’ images of yourself online is a symptom of exhibitionism.  Did you not think about the consequences before you put that crap online? Or did you even think, period?

There are far too many people with internet access looking for someone they can prey on. Posting that crap online puts you right in their laps. Some of them, as we already know, are not the kind of people you want as next-door neighbors.

The only time anyone should see you buck nekkid is when your parents bring you home from the hospital after your mother finally pushed you out and she’s changing your diapers, or when you’re in the privacy of your home and your signif other and you are engaged in bodyslamming each other.

When someone insists on nekkid photos of you, you should kick his/her ass out of your life and find someone else. And change the locks on the doors.

Since you can’t change human nature with lectures and powerpoint snooze sessions, it’s way past time the military drops that useless crap and focuses on doing its job – defending this country – instead of doing each other.

In regard to the prissy responses by all levels in the militarty, grow up. It was bad enough in the 1960s, but the internet has magnified it.

And yes, I do mean MILITARTY.

You’re a bunch of tarts, hypocrites, and scabrous whoremongers. You talk out of both sides of your mouths. I don’t believe anything you say. While you DORKS at the top are barking your protests and trying to cover your laps as well as your asses, you really do need to admit that you are exactly as bad as the lower levels.

Wanna see that photo of GEN “Chipmunk” Petraeus and his rank-climbing, whining ex- girlfriend Broadwell again?

You mean if I lay for you, I’ll get promoted? Gee, I already took the Miltest and the rate test and passed both of them. I get promoted with or without you, slimeball. Why should I drop my undies for you, you piece of whale’s offal? Oh, wait, if I DON’T lay for you, that makes me a lesbian, huh? Sure, okay. What else you got, dimwit?

When you in the Militarty  decide to stop lying and admit that YOU — both men and women — use sex to get ahead, let me know.  You’re wasting my tax money.

If I were still in, I’d offer sex to get promoted.
But in my case, I’d probably lose a stripe, or two.

Re: “look at which attention-whoring ‘attorney’ is right up front there, in the thick of it, grinning like an ape at the cameras.”

I was expecting to see the disbarred “attorney” from Fla the way you described it. But he was busy in court yesterday?

UPDATE on old Dickless Danny boi.

sj

How did you find that? Kept refreshing yesterday since Jonn said he was waiting on a report but saw nothing.

Anyway, looking good for a DB to finally get some karma.

Thanks for the link.

AW1Ed

That post is from last January.

The original thread is but the update posts at the end are from today

Combat Historian

When I read the first sentence, I was thinking of “Crash” as well…

CWORet

A continuance until Apr 17 was bad.
Knowing he has a former Marine JAG as an attorney just really fuckin’ stings.

Eden

So was I!

HMCS(FMF) ret

Took the words right out of my mouth, Ex-PH2!

BRAVO!

Graybeard

The dark-haired chick on the R is really showing her baby-fat there. I’m not sure that a nekked pic of her would be worth the time.

Can’t tell about blondie on the left.

The ugly one in the middle…

MSG Eric

South Park’s version of Gloria Allred is really spot-on.

Then there’s this and having Jon Stewart narrate the discussion really helps show how full of shit she actually is.

jonp

Them two girls are looking like that twat like she was from outer space. “What the hell are you going on about”?

Bernie Hackett

As Sgt. Stryker remarked, “Life is tough, it’s even tougher when you’re stupid!” Or to paraphrase P.T. Barnum, “There’s one born every minute, and two to take him!”(or her, looks like)

Andy11M

I hate to say this, but judging by those tattoos, facial piercings, and that bad dye job, Erika was probably the BN bicycle, and it wouldn’t surprise me if multiple men had received pics from her before one shared them. I also love how Gloria is smiling broadly for the cameras in the bottom picture.

OWB

This business of posting inappropriate pics, or sharing such by any other means, is just an extension of old stuff. Used to be that it was mostly limited to things like “she deserved to be raped – the way she dressed she was asking for it.” No, no one “deserves” to be raped. However, if you run around dressed like a whore you shouldn’t be shocked to be treated like one.

Meanwhile, criminal activity should be addressed and appropriate charges filed. Last I checked neither the Marine Corps nor any other military branch of service culture included acceptance of violations of the UCMJ. Prosecuting any Marine who actually violated laws is fine by me. Dirty language? No biggy.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

This is the right answer, language is a non-issue. Criminal violation of the UCMJ is something else entirely and the two shouldn’t be confused together…

It’s one thing for a group of infantry to discuss just how they’d like to fuck that hot chick in whatever unit, it’s quite another to release photographs online that you haven’t any rights to release regardless of you came by those photos. Revenge porn is a crime in most states, for valid reasons.

2/17 Air Cav

I do not believe anyone here will stand up and declare that violations of the UCMJ should be overlooked. Ome of the female Marines was not in a compromising photo and some twisted boys fantasized about her in writing publicly, they should and will catch it. On the other hand, there’s the matter of women taking selfies while nude, seminude, or in suggestive poses, and those who allow others to photograph them that way. To that I say, oh well.

2/17 Air Cav

That’s because you write a lot of fiction. This here stuff is Dragnet style.

Jonn Lilyea

I saw that one of the WMs had her pictures stolen from Instagram and posted on the Marines FB page. So her pictures were already online and public, posted by her, they were just hijacked.

2/17 Air Cav

Good observation. For the life of me, I don’t know why people put their pics and reveal themselves, their likes, dislikes, and such, online. It causes no end of grief for people. Sure, someone who lifts a pic may have committed a violation of copyright law, but best of luck with that.

OldSoldier54

Attention whore is right. Hopefully, her next Botox session will go sideways.

MSG Eric

We lost Joan Rivers to a botched Botox stint but we can’t seem to lose dirtbags like Gloria Allred.

FuzeVT

“powerpoint snooze sessions”
Yep – been through hundreds of those in 22 years. Despite their best efforts from 1995 (boot camp)-2000 and 2008-2016, I still have my vile conservative/libertarian thoughts so I guess they don’t work.

And, oddly enough, stupid, young male Marines still act like stupid, young male Marines. Here’s my brief in lieu of the power point.
“Eh-hem. . . You fuck up and you will be held accountable. You treat any Marine or sailor like these assholes posting on Marines United and I will ruin your life until the minute you are ADSEPed – and for a good time after, if I can swing it. Dismissed.”

SFC D

I had a commander who would end his Friday safety briefings with “ladies and gentlemen, if you fail to heed my warnings about the dangers of drinking and driving and are arrested for DUI, I will strike you with the largest administrative hammer I can find and remove you from the Army.”

Very effective once he demonstrated the use aforementioned hammer.

2/17 Air Cav

Pics or it didn’t happen. And I see no pics.

JimV

If I were still in the military, I would avoid female soldiers like the plague.

Graybeard

In many civilian businesses as well – unfortunately.

11B-mailclerk

“Don’t crap in your own rice bowl” is sound advice.

David

I gotta ask (and did on-line) – how many of this supposed on-line Facebook group are REALLY active-duty Marines and how many are posers, sympathizers, hangers-on, etc? How many made the salacious, inappropriate style comments? I’m willing to bet that the first number is pretty small, and that second sub-set is a hell of a lot smaller. How many of these pictures were taken without their portayee’s consent or knowledge? How many were things like selfies, mutual sex tapes posted post-breakup, etc? Do some freakin’ research first before tarring the whole Corps with the broad brush!! If 5,000 Marines on active duty are actively involved, you have a problem. If you have 10-15 guys who are habitually posting inappropriate comments about 5 photos taken on the sly – hammer that 10-15 in the ground like tent pegs but don’t hang every decent Marine out to dry.

SFC D

When the shit hits the fan, everyone gets slattered.

SFC D

splattered. oops.

timactual

I have seen Gloria Alred on CSPAN a number of times. Anything she is associated with is probably a left-wing scam.

“’…, if it’s appropriate”

That’s the key, isn’t it? In church, for example, the occasional “Amen, brother” is appropriate, but “You got that shit right, bro!” isn’t. Same sentiment, wrong choice of words. Learning what is or is not appropriate is all part of becoming civilized and respectful of others.

MSG Eric

For her? More like “if I can make money off it.”

Flagwaver

If you don’t want naked pictures of you posted on the internet, then don’t take naked pictures of yourself. Problem solved, problem staying solved.

jonp

Why are you injecting, you know, adult common sense into this??????
